I think you should totally go for the tattoo!! I love the wake your dreams idea - the nike whoosh is a little cliche but I also love what it stands for. I got my first one on my ankle when I turned 18 and it's a sun and then I got one on my back when I was 22 that is the leo symbol because I totally think I am everything they describe for leo's! I want another too but not sure of what - I love the idea of getting it after the huge accomplishments you've made!!
Too bad about your foot - I think another day of rest is a good idea! Get lots of protein in too! I'm so jealous you have the day off - I just feel like curling up in bed and watching movies today and listening to the rain. I wish I had more holidays - like 6 months worth, lol!
Have a good day Sarah! Enjoy it!
I've had TOO many days off! LOL I'm getting bored actually! Back to work today, but the weather is actually crappy now. It's been hot as hell and sunny for the past week, so I got lucky with all the time off I had. My mom was very upset about my tattoo but it is something I said I wanted to do after I finished my half marathon as a gift to myself and reminder of how far I've come - even a reminder that I'm not such a WIMP anymore! LOL I can't believe I even did it!
Hey Sarah
I like the tatoo idee. They're really not that painfull, I got mine when I was 22 because I wanted to face my fear of needles. It's kind of cliche I just got a red rose on the back of my left shoulder! I got a tattoo and I was the type to faint at the sight of a needle so you can def do it!!!! The sounds is the scarier part! Just be carefull of where you get it....I don't know if you plan to have kids later on but depending on where the tattoo is, the shape can change when it's streched and may not go back to it's usuall after you return to your size.
I was thining about getting a black and white rose on my shoulder
I like the tattoo idea too. I am thinking about getting one as well after I reach my goal (many many months from now)and I like 'Wake your dreams' idea as well. You totally deserve something like a tattoo after what you have accomplished.
Thanks Juni. I went with a different tattoo but I love it. It is a great reminder for my accomplishment... it's great for anyone for that matter! You should get one when you reach goal, I'm very happy I did! It was something for me to overcome as well because I've been so scared to get one for so long. It sort of represented my strength now too!

Ok - so here's the story. I wrote about the tattoo I wanted on facebook, and my friend (sort of friend) made a comment saying, "Didn't I say that's what I wanted when we were talking about tattoos in Florida?" I never once thought about that and I had no recollection of her saying she wanted that tattoo. It is MY tattoo, but then it didn't feel original to me. It was something I picked out just a few days ago anyway... so I went with a phrase that I've always wanted to get every single time I thought about getting a tattoo. "Love life." I'm really happy with how it turned out - of course my parents aren't too happy about it and I don't think I'll EVER hear the end of it from my mom... but it's MINE, and only I need to see it unless I want to show people. It can be covered up by clothing, it's not visible for everyone to see. And it is my motivation to get my stomach back down flatter! It's gotten a little puggy since I stopped working out religiously! I even went to the gym last night at 10PM because I'm that determined! LOL
Here's pics!
