Good job on the speech....I remember having to do those....I would feel sick for days before and I had to write a 10 min speech (practice time) in order to be able to make a 3 min presentation cause I spoke so fast lol! You look amazing in those pics!!! I start taking my own!!! Hope you get to enjoy beautiful weather while on your trip!

Haha! I know what you mean - my heart used to race sooo fast before I had to give a speech and my face would get so red! But now I just love it :D And thank you!! You should take pics, sometimes it's hard to see you're making progress when you're going only by the scale. It helps a lot! I hope the weather is beautiful... this whole week it was raining down there but it should clear up by the time we get there. Rain or shine, I'm gonna make the most of it :p

Thank you!! I think I was 142 lbs in the November pics. Definitely not in the 130's yet at the point.

Yes I couldn't believe I didn't just pig out like crazy! I don't get why but it's like drinking and eating come hand in hand all the time - it shouldn't! I am nervous for weigh in tomorrow - I'm not sure I'm gonna pull a loss. We'll see in the morning :)

I went shopping today and bought a pair of jean shorts in a size 27 waist! OK I think they run big but WHATEVER it was a fricken 27!!! LOL and they were only $10.50 - what a steal! I also got a pair of black skinny pants in a size 28.. wooo! They are so cute and they have little silver studs on the top lining of the butt pockets. I just love them and can't wait to wear them!

I think I was under on calories today (I didn't really count) but I didn't eat much as I usually do cuz I was so occupied with everything else - packing clothes up for vacation, doing laundry, shopping... I had a pretty nice workout. I did 20 minutes of intervals running 1 minute @ 6.8 mph and walking 1 minute @ 4.0 mph. I then walked on incline for 10 minutes @ 7% incline and 4.0 mph. After that I did some kettle bell workouts and my abs routine. Felt good but I wasn't really in the workout mood tonight!

Well, tomorrow morning is weigh in. We'll see about this... I've only been working out every other day this whole week so IDK! I feel good though :)

133.6!!!

That's another 1.2 lb loss this week! How the hell? I honestly have not been working out as much, not eating the greatest I can, not really counting my calories close enough. Maybe my body was too used to that before? IDK but whatever I'm doing, it's working and I'm FINALLY past my stupid plateau! :)

I was thinking about the same thing this week for my weigh in - I didn't track all week, my work outs were way less than the week before when I only lost 1.4 and I got drunk and ate bad - just doesn't make sense! Oh well I'll take it!! I wish I was coming on your trip with you! You are going to have so much fun! Are you nervous about gaining while away or getting back into a routine when you get back? Is it all inclusive with drinks and meals? When do you leave exactly? Will I get to say bye on Monday? In case not have an excellent trip and let loose! Don't do anything I would! Just kidding! Have an awesome weekend Sarah - I'm going to miss you while your gone! Hope I'm in the 140's when you return!!:party:
 
Lisa - I am very worried about gaining weight while I'm gone and I'm sure I will because I'll be drinking pretty much every day. But I'm going to bring my kettlebell or my 8lb dumbbells with me and of course my tennis shoes because I plan to work out! Even if I can't run, I know I can get some squats and arms and abs works outs in. Even if I just do jumping jacks in the room instead of running for cardio, any little bit will be better than nothing! So I know I will probably gain weight but I don't think I can handle almost 10 days without exercise! It is not all inclusive - I have to buy all my own food. So I'm going to stock up on things I normally eat and try not to eat out very much! I am leaving Friday, the 19th and will get home Sunday, the 28th. I'll still be here this week but I will miss you as well when I leave and I think now you have a goal to meet - be in the 140's by the time I get back! ;)
 
Remember the weight restrictions on your luggage before you start adding dumbbells, lol!! My suitcase was over 50 lbs without added weight! I think you will make good choices for most of your meals and I believe you will get some exercise in - I'm not worried at all for you. 98% remember! You can even make that 65% since your on vacation!! So glad to have you for another week and yes I will be in the 140's by the time you return!! Here's to a kick ass week before you go!!
 
Congrats!!!!!!! One more week before your trip. Where are you going??? Next winter I want to go to the Dominican Republic I am starting a saving account next month! Keep at it you still have time to meet your goal, a week full of last chance workout should do it!!!!
 
YAYYYY!! Congrats Sara!!! I too am very jealous of your trip... we were in the Mayan exactly 1 yr ago and it was fabulous. I remember reading a while back about having 1 small binge day a week just to fool your body, so maybe that is what this week did for you. I bet if you really kick it up this week you'll see some amazing numbers next Fri ;)!!!!
 
I wouldn't worry quite so much while you're away - I know you're eager not to gain anything but life is for living so just be sensible and don't go too OTT and then carry on the hard work when you get back. You don't really need to be taking weights on hols with you, you're looking great and you wont slip THAT much!!

Really, give yourself a little break and just keep everything in moderation. But above all, HAVE FUN! :D xx

Alright so I'm pretty much already in spring break mode! This weekend was just wild. I didn't work out Friday or Saturday and I got about 7 hours sleep TOTAL since Friday til last night. Yesterday I did my 5K run outside and it felt great! I'm going to go for a run again today, probably a longer one, because it's supposed to be 56 degrees and sunny! :D I just got back from the gym a little while ago - ran a mile around the track, lifted weights, and did abs.

This week is going to fly by and I can't wait for it to be done - I just need to remember that I still have classes and studying to focus on! It's so difficult when Florida is only 5 days away!!!

Have you heard of any one else having problems with their hip flexor's from running? I hope it's not serious and that I can continue running again soon! I missed it so much last night when the sun was shinning!

The drive should take about 20 hours. This will be the longest I've ever been in a car, so not looking forward to it! Saturday sounds like fun - I love dancing with my girlfriends :p I haven't heard much about hip flexor problems from running, though I do feel mine pulling a little after a run outside. Nothing too bad though. I know how bad they can hurt though! There are some abs workouts that I've done that just kill me - it hurts to just walk! I hope the pain goes away soon, it must be frustrating :( 3 more sleeps til my vacation... I didn't even realize it was that close! I do need to drink LOTS of water... Yesterday's eating wasn't the greatest, but it's because I have absolutely NO FOOD in my house. It's all granola bars, cereal, and yogurt. I need to go grocery shopping but I'm not going to because I'll be leaving for home in 2 days anyway. I went for a late night run last night around 9PM and it was so peaceful! I really enjoyed it. And I seemed to run a lot faster, I'm not sure why.

Today I have to do so many things. Especially studying. I have a huge exam on Thursday that I'm not ready for. To make matters worse, St. Patty's day is tomorrow - so you know what that means :D I'm going to run outside again today, the weather is GORGEOUS!!!

So jealous of your peaceful runs - it's been so nice here too and I just want to RUN! The new shoes I bought have the capability to sync with an ipod and then it would tell you while you are running how many miles you have gone - that would be so cool but I don't have an ipod or a computer and by the time I get those things the runners will probably be garbage.
20 hours is such a long drive! I guess it's cheaper than flying though - road trips can be fun too with a good car load. How many girls are going?
I remember the Keg parties that would start at noon on St. Patty's day - have a great time tonight! Don't drink too much - water, water, water!!
 
Lisa - I've heard of those shoes before and that is so cool that they have the capability to do that! But then again there are other ways to map your run so it's ok that you don't have an iPod for it. I am going with 4 other girls on this road trip - yikes! I think I'm going to go crazy in a car for that long! I did not celebrate St. Patty's day because I went out the night before... and had wayyyy too much to drink! 10 cent beers... how could you go wrong with that? :p

So Tuesday night my friend came up to my house here at school very randomly - we decided we wanted to go out to the bars. We didn't leave til about 11. And we got pretty tipsy. Waking up yesterday was terrible. But in the afternoon I managed to get out for a run. I've gone for a run outside this week every day since Sunday! The run was so hard because I forgot to take my inhaler :( So I had to walk a little but I still ran most of it.

My break officially starts in about 5 hours here and I'm SO ready to hit the road! I have an exam to take before I go and I'm not looking forward to it - I really didn't put in enough time studying. We'll see how it goes though.

I'll write back in the morning after weigh in. I have a feeling I will gain because I drank almost every night since last Friday. EW. I have been in spring break mode for the past week already. How on earth will I handle another whole week!? :ack2:

The exam was alright... definitely could have been more prepared though! I am so excited for the trip I can't wait to just wake up and start packing everything! I will have tons of pictures when I return :D Keep it up while I'm gone and I'm sure I'll need a good ass kicking when I get back!

No workout today, but this is the only day I missed this week. I will get a nice workout in tomorrow before I leave!

I also decided that I'm not going to weigh in tomorrow. I think if I do and if I gained, I will feel extra crappy about myself and then I won't even attempt to eat healthy. So we're gonna skip the scale for a while here... when I get back, I probably won't weigh myself until I feel like I'm 100% back on track.

I've been feeling really self conscious about my belly today. I just feel bloated and not cute. And all I can think about is how I gotta be in my bikini for a whole week! But on the bright side, I've got some nice legs and toned arms to show off on the beach now! Guess I'll just let the beer belly hang out and be glad I'm not 20 pounds heavier :cheers2: LOL
