Man this weight gain has me chugging so much water :). I guess there is a good side to it lol.

I agree Cannon! And to top it off, we were OUT of water since yesterday. This morning, Megan came in to my room *demanding* to know where the water was. I told her it was in the tap - and I think she almost fell over ;)

We now have a case of bottles and two, 2.5 gallon containers in the fridge!

M how long did you stay at a particular distance before moving up. I know I'm walking slow at the moment but the two miles I walked last night didn't phase me. I wasn't winded like I expected to be. The block on the other side of me is closer to 5 miles round trip so thinking of heading that way. what do ya say coach.........

Well, looking back over my notes, I always had one day where I'd go further then the other days. I was going about 2 miles a day 6 days a week and then I'd go 5 miles on Sunday...I did that for a couple of weeks, then I went up to 3 miles a day 6 days a week and then have a 6 mile day (I was walking every day then). Then I had two weeks of going 4 miles every day and 7.5 on the endurance day.

Once I worked up to 5 miles a day, I started bettering my time. So I built distance first, not speed.

It also takes me a good two miles to work up a sweat, get my heart rate up and to talk myself out of going home and back to bed ;)

Dammit Girl !!

:D Now - if only it was all at one time! And I wanted to get in 13 miles, since that's what I was supposed to do yesterday...I'd like to get in between 40 & 45 miles this week.

I'm nursing a blister on my heal though - seems I walked a bit too long without taking the time to fix the back of my shoe - it wasn't all the way up in the back (you know that cushioning area) - and well, my foot is paying my laziness back!

The numbers:
I'm changing the copy and paste and it's easier to leave it in this format, the first set of numbers is the suggested range, the last number is what I had.
Calories: 1400 - 1750 1,353
Fat: 31 - 68 61
Carbohydrates: 158 - 284 125
Protein: 35 - 153 90
Sodium, Na: 1200 - 2400 3,877
Fiber, total dietary: 25 - 35 15

Knock on wood, so far no external anterior or posterior sarcomas due to equipment.

I'm still impressed with your distance, I might break 13 miles this week - well probably, but nowhere near 40. Not sure why I can't build up the energy to do something like this daily.

Once again congrats on the "WALKING" you must buya new pair
of shoes every other week lol! Dang sorry about all the slained
animals hopefully like "MAL" said it was a big chase and not some
little old misquito carrying "WESNILE"Nah that was a thing in the
past I think. Anyway have a gr8 Tuesday, Tammy

The water is in the tap lol. If you need water I have an extra 30 gallons of it. That's the one problem with Ice Mountain home delivery---Must drink very fast.

Ok, now you got me on fire with this big walking stuff. I'm going after that 7 miles this afternoon.

You get 5 in this morning ??

You get 5 in this morning ??

:::sheepishly hangs head in shame:::

This is the first morning I OPTED to lay in bed and get some extra sleep - then I layed there and played soduko on my Nintendo DS - it's 8:37 and I JUST got out of bed! It didn't help that I got a morning wake up call around 4:00 am with the plea not to go walking right away ;)

calories were burnt nonetheless

It's pretty pathetic when I can't help but think the calories burned are no where NEAR what I could have burned walking the 7.3 mile loop ;)

Ah well, Megan doesn't have swimming tonight, so I'll do the walk then :D

As for "etc" there ought to be a law against letting us dangle like that!

awe, hold that head high *points down to your sig* look what you've done so far! A morning of Nintendo DS is a forgivable offence! I say this of course because I know I'm going to have a morning in the future of PSP lol

You guys are sweet!
I did get my walk in though...I just prefer the mornings!

7.3 miles 1:25.50 11.71 minutes per mile
Lap 1 45.16
Lap 2 40.34

I knocked 7 minutes off my time from yesterday morning though :D
I am happy about that!

I plan on getting my morning 5 in tomorrow - but I won't be walking in the evening - Megan's actual birthdaTe is tomorrow and she wants to skip swimming and take grandma out to Chinese...I'm hoping to talk her into Thai ;) At least I'll get the 5 in!
