YES! That's the great thing about life style changes/diets (diet being what you eat not restrictive'ness), there's no better meal like the present one to change your eating habits.

Don't feel bad about that wagon. It hit me too. I survived dinner, but the sweets table got me today. We'll get back on tomorrow.
 
yea M i really did like the walk, vicious neighbor hood dogs and all lol. The bad thing is after the walk I should be tired and I'm not. I eventually want to try walking in California or some place that has more hills and more to look at. Then if I feel up to it I'd like to take a quick stroll up.....Mt. Whitney. when i can do that I'll call myself in reasonable shape lol...
 
Only One Pound

Hello! Do you know me?
If you don't, you should. I'm a pound of fat.
And I am the happiest pound of fat that you would ever want to meet.
Want to know why?
It's because no one ever wants to lose me;
I'm ONLY ONE POUND, just a pound!
Everyone wants to lose three pounds, five pounds, or fifteen pounds, but never only one.
So I just stick around and happily keep you fat.
Then I add to myself, ever so slyly, so that you never seem to notice it.
That is until I've grown to ten, twenty, thirty or even more pounds in weight.
Yes, it's fun being ONLY ONE POUND OF FAT, left to do as I please.
So, when you weigh in, keep right on saying, "Oh, I only lost one pound."
(As if that were such a terrible thing)
For you see, if you do this, you'll encourage others to keep me around because they'll think I'm not worth losing.
And, I love being around you - your arms, your legs, your chin, your hips and every part of you.

YES we will! It doesn't help though - I came in from my walk this morning and the house smelled of pizza! Seems Bob and Megan decided to fix their own breakfast ;)

JB - THANK YOU for posting this, I've been meaning to dig it up! Granted, I am *3* pounds up from Friday. I'm truly not surprised, disappointed yes, but not surprised. They'll come off though - one pound at a time :D

Good Morning Sweety! I love your cheery waves!

So I didn't get my long walk in yesterday (anyone surprised?) ;) And today is my normal rest day - however, this week just has to be different. I didn't have time to take a long walk this morning, so I'm splitting it up.

This morning I walked:
7.3 miles in 1:32.08 12.61 minutes per mile
Lap 1 46:34
Lap 2 45:34

I can get in another 5 miles tonight while Megan is swimming.

I'm hoping to walk the 7.3 mile loop every morning this week - but it takes me in the opposite direction of my friend, but I think I need the extra hills/miles this week!

YES!!! That wagon is SOOOO history around here - who was I kidding? I CAN'T eat like a bunch of 10 year olds! I have over 40 pounds to lose!!

Oh you're sweet! Granted, I didn't feel like a cool mom when I had to go out to the tent and explain to the girls that they were in a TENT with NO walls or insulation, and that anything they said or did during the Truth or Dare segment of their evening could be heard by anyone walking their dog :eek:

Nope, didn't feel all too cool putting the skids on THAT!

lol.. I remember torturing my mom with giggles and scream inducing ghost stories at 3am at my slumber parties. Good times!

And yay for getting your walk in, with all that - the pizza is probably doesn't know what hit it. Have a great Monday M!!

I got in another 4.5 miles tonight while Megan was swimming, which puts me at 11.8 for the day - not the "all at one time" I look forward to on the weekend, but I need to play catch up from yesterday!

As for interesting things on my watch, today I saw a dead mouse, rat and cat all in one short stretch of a walk - nothing living though ;)

I'm downing the water hoping to flush my system of all the salt I took in this weekend - hopefully that will help!
 
M how long did you stay at a particular distance before moving up. I know I'm walking slow at the moment but the two miles I walked last night didn't phase me. I wasn't winded like I expected to be. The block on the other side of me is closer to 5 miles round trip so thinking of heading that way. what do ya say coach.........
