wow, didn't realize the rules were so strict. sixteen minute miles doesn't sound too bad but to hold it that long would be impossible for me lol......

Hello M2M,
Sounds like your having fun! I have too many kids
to invite anymore lol! I do occationaly let my daughter's have a friend
over lol but my kids get too crazy! Hope ya have a gr8 weekend and
congrats on getting that 5 mile walk in!Tammy

16 mpm is humpin'. I've been trying to maintain 20 mpm which I did for my first 3 miles today, the last 3.5 was about 25's. Admittedly, I'm not prepared for this kind of walking but I can certainly appreciate your effort Debi.

Thanks T2 :)

I'm ok with the 16 minute per mile rule, as I was maintaining 12:30 minutes per mile when I was doing under 12 miles - but when I switched routes, and took on some serious hills, my time dropped to 14 minutes per mile. I plan on staying with this route and get my time down to 10-11 minutes before I committ to the marathon.

There are two other half marathons in the series, and they require a 13 minute mile in order to compete...I'm *barely* doing that right now with my daily 5 miles (I walk those at 12.5 minutes per mile)

OK - so the house is clean, the back yard is set up, Megan is stemming the strawberries for the fondue, now we just need kids ;)

Oh, and I'm down 3 dorritos so far....and pizza hut is delivering...

Randy, I'm sure with time you could beat it :D

Megan has a lot of sleep overs, it's actually easier with other kids around, but we rarely have *this* many ;)

8 is certainly enough!

Good luck with all those kids. Your a brave brave woman.

Thanks Iwan, I don't feel particularly brave at the moment - btw, I've been meaning to mention, I loved your picture avatar!! And now by the time I mention it, you've gone and changed it!

Pizza Hut:eek: Be brave, you can do it, and your time of 14 min per mile is sooooo way awsome, you totaly inspire me, my walks are getting easier but not ready for not Marathons.........but someday:rolleyes: keep up the awsome work and enjoy your yongsters!!! STAR

Ditto. I need to improve my reaction time. It was so cute I didn't anticipate its poofage.

I will however put in an open call for its return.

OK - I survived - it's over!

Need I mention that not only did I FALL off the wagon, I was ran over by it?

One day isn't going to kill me, but yeah, I'm glad it's over ;)

On a side note, the night was a HUGE success!

Well, I bet the wagon is worse for the wear for running you over. I hope its axel breaks and it gets burned by a roaming tribe of pre adolescent girls. I loved my old avitar also, but alas it was so photoshopped it looks nothing like the actual me and I felt like a big liar having up there. Now I'm searching for a nice scary halloween avi.

Oh, I hope so too! But I do think I'm worse for the wear. I had cake, ice cream, some chips, 3 pieces of pizza, one chocolate chip pancake, at least 3 sausage links, 3 pieces of REAL bacon...

Granted, I got a small round cake and between the girl's and my slice, there is still over a half a cake and the half gallon of ice cream has a third left, so there wasn't *too* much of that ;) I do feel incredibly bloated!

Well, it's a nice halloween one, but I did love the picture :D You have to be happy with it though!

glad the girls had fun.. and you survived it... :D

The girls really did enjoy it! They each made those denim skirt looking purses, and left with them filled with nail polish, lip gloss, a bracelet kit and candy - Bob burned cdROMs for all the girls to take home pictures of the evening.

The kareoke was a HUGE success! They sung and danced and had a great time. Bob went to bed and to SLEEP around 8:00 pm, I, otoh, was awake quieting down the last of the noisy girls around 3:00 am.

Then had the chocolate fondue with strawberries, bananas, marshmallows, angelfood cake, all ready to go as their morning appetizer.

Most of the girls went home by noon, and one who lives in the neighborhood, stayed and Bob just took them to a movie - so my house is now not only clean but QUIET!

Megan said this was the BEST all time birthday party she has EVER had.

Hello M2M
Dropping by on this fine Sunday to wave!
Congrats on surving the slumber party! No pizza hut nightmares!
Have a good 1 Tammy

Oh, I had pizza hut nightmares - I don't stand up to pizza very well ;)

AND you should see the amount of pizza in my fridge! I've had two pieces today alone!

Randy, you're right, this is no time of year to be anywhere near the underbelly of a wagon - but I'm there.

Hey don't feel too bad! We met my husbands familt for the weekend, to go to a wedding and they all wanted togo to Mazzios(PIZZA). I had two pieces. My husband said are you going to try to count that? I said HECK NO! Then my son got sick and we are staying in a MOTEL. We had a fridge, with left over PIZZA. He didn't feel like getting out for Breakfast,soo....We had left over PIZZA (2 Pieces!!) Sucky day for me!! We are finally home and I haven't gained so I'm am so thankful!!

Well ms. M, I was talking about ya in my diary tonight. Didn't want any gosip to get around ;)....... Thanks for the walking idea......

Well my time was 58 minutes for 2 1/4 miles. without the kids is closer to 45. It's still not anything like Ms. M but it's a start.

Mental note: after about a mile in the Texas heat. denim turns into sandpaper lol.

It must have been pizza weekend....everyone's writing about their pizza experiences in their diaries!

(My pizza was freakin' awesome by the way...although the stomach cramps after sucked royally)

WOO HOO! The party sounds like it was soo much fun, may steal this idea for my daughter's birthday sleepover...lol. As for the spat with the wagon...you deserve a little indulgence, you're such a trooper every other day. You'll bounce back with no problem at all. Although, personally I could not sleep with all those "goodies" in my house. I'd have to throw them out or I'd eat every drop of it.

LWMIV Mechele! I hear ya about pizza left over in the fridge - I bought 4 medium pizzas yesterday AND they gave me one FREE - talk about left overs  EEEK!

OMG Randy!! I'm so glad you went walking, that is AWESOME!! And it's not far off the mark of where I started!

Ohhh :( Cramps are bad - I hope they're gone by now!

The goodies are hard - but they're there...nothing I can do about it - near the beginning of the party, the two bags of chips were almost gone so I ran out and bought 3 more. They're still unopened in the cupboard...AND the bag of halloween candy I bought to fill the little dress purses with AND the cake AND the ice cream ...

I'm actually doing ok - I had the pizza today and that was it - oh, wait, and the sausage, bacon & chocolate chip pancake...but ASIDE from that, that was it today. I need to take a break from food!

Did I mention we're out of water too? Nothing but tap water!

It's ugly, very, very ugly, AND I haven't even thought of trying to input to sparkpeople since Friday.

OK - I'll start tomorrow :)
