Hi Skinny Minny :D

Have a DIVALICIOUS day!!

Whew...back from my walk - I got 7 miles in this morning :D I'm hoping it makes up for eating the skin from my chicken last night ;)

Wishes, I'm sure my parents would have thought my house would have been a disaster like my bedroom was - it's funny how sometimes you end up being more like your parents then you ever thought you'd be as a kid!

HF - I hope you have a great day too!

And Diva - Girl you ARE the skinny minny! You are officially at my goal weight!

How long does it usually take you to walk the 7 miles?! It seems like it takes me for ever to walk to 2 that I walk...

My God woman! That’s 11.263 km!
Back in my Army days we did 13 km as our yearly fitness assessment, and it was a big deal for fit, young soldiers.
You just crack out 11 km without blinking? You are amazing. I want to get to where you are.
You rock!

Hi Guys,
I'm back from a day at the beach and taking Meg to swim team practice. It was a *gorgeous* day at the beach. I absolutely love it when the kids go back to school! I got free parking, no crowds, perfect weather :D

Thanks for all the encouraging words about my walking! I have to say, I love my morning walks - I feel invigorated, inspired (I saw a Golden Eagle this morning) and rejuvinated.

My daily loop is 5 miles, but my friend met me 1.15 miles into the walk instead of where we normally meet, so I reversed direction, doubled back to get the extra 2+ & continued the 5 mile loop.

The only bummer part is that I apparently picked up shin splints in my left leg the night of my power wine walk - and by today, it is still sore. I've been walking on it, and know it will go away, but it's there like a constant nag ;)

It took me 1 hour, 45 minutes - it was a steady 15 minute/per mile walk. On my non endurance walks, I've been walking for 5 minutes and running for 1 minute and generally go 12-13 minutes per mile. Today was just steady.

I plan on only doing 5 miles tomorrow & Saturday, then 11.5 on Sunday for my endurance walk. When I get to 13 miles I'm going to start working on bettering my time :D

Then, I plan on adding some lap swimming to the routine...

I have all these ideas jumbled in my head about getting fit enough to finish a triatholon.

I don't know yet.

In the mean time...I walk :D

7 miles? damn girl, you're the bionic woman! The last time I walked 7 miles was when I was lost in the city and being a guy, I wouldn't ask directions.

Way to go!

Wow--a triathalon! I guarantee you'll have a lot of us pulling for you, but how do you hold the wine glass when you're swimming? ;-)

Go hard m2m, Im doing cycling and swimming first and then ill work on the jogging/walking (I have heel spurs).

I reckon both of us can easily do a triathalon without to much trouble!

hey we all need to cut loose and tear it up once in a while, i loved your drunken post:D it cracked me up!!! And while you may have an ache in your leg you still went and walked so kudos to you my sista!!!! keep up the great work!!!!!

Hi M! I haven't been in for a while so I don't when you changed it...but I love your pic!! You look soo pretty!! As for the triathalon idea...take a look back at how far youv'e come and give yourself a huge hug!! You can do anything you put your mind too!! A triathalon will happen if you want it bad enough!! I believe in you, and walkin 7 miles with shin splints your already made of steel girl!! :D

oh my gosh. we should rename you as the Walking Woman. O_O;;

My foot gets tired after 2.5 miles. Let alone 7 or 11. How do you do it?!?! O_O;;
That's just incredible. EEEP!!

Have I mentioned I love my family?

A couple of weeks ago, I discovered "Banana Crisps" from Trader Joes.
I do NOT like banana chips - I never have. These however, are thinner and crispier. It's like eating a potato chip, just slightly sweeter.

OMG - I love them.

A 2/3 Cup serving = 40 calories, 1g Fat, 0 Sodium.
A whole bag is 240 calories.

Trader Joes has been out of them since I first bought some two weeks ago. I go in every day...or I call. I've gone to other TJ's. The manager tells me that once they come in, they'll be gone in 72 hours.

I'm almost in a panic ;)

So a friend calls me and says that the Trader Joe's in La Canyada (a good 60 miles away) has some, and she bought 3 bags for me and 3 for herself.

I told my husband, he dropped what he was doing, headed straight to TJ's and bought 10 bags! LOL! I came home to find them all lined up at my computer :D

I do believe I'm ready to survive another shortage!

That being said, I got my 5 mile walk in this morning, and yes, the shin splints are still there - I have no idea how long this pain is supposed to last. It hurts like hell! But yeah, I'm still walking in the morning ;)
