ROFL! Randy, that's awesome :D

I got 30 minutes on the treadmill again today, upped my speed from 3 to 3.4...Did a mile in 20 min.!! Now I'm going to start working on bettering my time. :D

Man I could never live in California.... I would be attempting to Jog and get passed by a Walker.....

Unless I was jogging to one of your Many Wine vinyards... then it would be an all out sprint!!!!

You're doin' it girl!! :) Very cool!

Now see...getting passed by a walker isn't a BAD thing - provided the walker isn't over 80 and using a cane ;) And vinyards - sprint? are you kidding? We need a chauffer!

OK - you guys are my BEST inspiration and motivation!

I'm back - and yes - I'm warm...damn right sweating like crazy - but I DID IT!

The total...
5.26 miles
Drumroll...
1:00.31

:)

OMG.................WOWZER.......................I would absolutley keel over
walking in that time,I think I did 3.5 in 1 hour before and that was in my
fast pace walk without dog lol!Congrats your kicking butt and just reading
that really inspired me into doing more and this time trying to go longer
than 10 days without cheating.....Tammy:)

You guys really need to check out that racewalking site Mal posted - those guys are speed walkers!! I'm a pup in comparison!

But thanks :) I do hope to get faster!

OK, I'm done eating for the day, my calories are a bit low, but not by much, and I'm sure I will make up for them at some point. I am kicking around the idea of increasing my calories a bit for awhile. I was reading online today about people who can not get warm - one of the answers came back that perhaps the calories were too low. It was an interesting theory that I have to check out - kind of linked to the starvation mode we all tout so often, which would also explain my lag in weightloss lately.

In the mean time - I'm done for the day:
Calories: 1,169 Range 1370 - 1720
Fat: 27 Range 30 - 67
Carbohydrates: 262 Range 154 - 280
Protein: 61 Range 34 - 150
Sodium, Na: 1,189 Range 1200 - 2400
Fiber, total dietary: 28 Range 25 - 35
Potassium, K: 2,685 Range 2000 - 3500
Cholesterol: 72 Range 0 - 250

I did check that url out Mal posted earlier, its fantastic!
Im just not much of a walker or runner lol, i think ill stick to my bike :D

G'Morning, I'll be heading out for my walk here fairly soon - it's warmer then yesterday and no wind :D

Hope you guys have a good day :)

OK - I'm back. I only got in 3 miles (34 minutes), I had to get back early so that Bob could go to work. In the summer, I was all for hitting the trail by 6:00 am, these days, I can't think about it before 9:00!

I'll be taking M to park day today, and there are a few ladies (namely the Graces) who'll spend the time walking with me, so I hope to get another 3 miles in before the day is out.

T2, thanks for your words in your diary this morning - yes, this post holiday commitment is in full swing. Life goes on even when we're trying to lose weight - I'll have to make a mental note for next year not to set overly ambitious goals, but rather work towards maintenance and be satisfied with that. A life style change means learning to deal with what pops up in life, be it a family BBQ, work party or a month of holiday baking of memories. I know I can deal with that now without plumping back up to where I was before I started down this road!

I thought about it a lot this morning on my walk - I think one of the fears of losing weight is the thought that it won't last, and yes, the momentum ebbs and flows - but never again will I let eating get out of control. I won't ever look at the under belly of the height of my weight. Being fit and healthy is worth SO much more then a can of pringles.

M2M you have had such great success. I am awestruck. Keep up the excellent work! I wish I could get back into my walking groove. Ugh. I hate exercise!

Amen to that! You said it perfectly!

Happy Tuesday Debi! I just noticed your new avatar while I was in my diary, had to pop in and comment! You look amazing! First time I've seen you grin ;) :D

Thanks DQ :) the picture was taken last week - it's about 20 pounds less then my last avatar picture :)

Hi there!
Just wanted to let you know your walking has lit a fire under us! I told my husband about your walking and both of us agreed to step it up, no pun intended. We both walk, but mostly we just put our time in. This week we are going to challenge ourselves!

Oooooo a new AV! I LIKE it! :D
I understand the fear of getting fat again to a point, but my determination not to i guess overcomes that. As for the can of pringles .... mmmm pringles :D
Ill move the calories around so i can fit them in :D

Keep up the great work! you rock!

That is so COOL to hear!! Good for the two of you :D

Keep up the great work! you rock!

Thanks Wishes :) And I hear ya about moving calories around to make fit what it is we want to eat, and yes, even Pringles - but in my old days, an entire can was a single serving in my mind. I definitely had to change that way of thinking!

Nice post above Debi. Brilliant plan for next year and every year. We gotta honor this stuff for a life time.

You're right about that - the whole point of a LIFEstyle change!

Round 2 !!

Enjoy it! Glad it stopped snowing!

[quoteOf course I luv the av. *pssst* I had a sneak preview.[/QUOTE]

LOL! That's the perks of being the GoTo Guy around here isn't it! :)
Thanks again for resizing the pictures - I'll make a point of learning this new computer!
