A brand new start

Sorry didn't post yesterday. I went to my cropping group (scrapbooking) and I was bringing food for the dinner, so I left early. Blah, blah, blah... didn't have time! :) (Got two pages done. One of Sam when he was a few months old and another one called, "Sweet Smell of Success". That one is about my flowers that I've bought myself at each 5 pound weight loss.)

Jennifer, I'm with Fuunkymonk, the black ones are gross and you can have all of mine! (My mom liked the black ones. I remember her buying a whole bag of them every Easter. She and my dad would rave about them. )

Smiley, I'm not sure how I get a shower everyday, but for the most part it happens! My first two babies were big, too. 9.7 for the first one and 9.13 for my middle boy. With the third I maintained that I had gestational diabetes even though I could pass the 3 hour glucose test. Since I didn't fail the test my insurance wouldn't cover a visit to a nutritionalist, so a friend who was diabetic with her pregnancies offered my all her nutritional info. I followed the diet and Sam, my third, weighed 7.9.

Newbride, I'm phsyched too!

We just got back from our evening "date." We went to the auction (fundraiser) for our school. It was fun. And, I got to tell ya, Funnkymonk, when DH asked me what I wanted to drink I said, "An ameretto sour, please." It was wonderful! Thanks for the tip!

yum amaretto sours :)
wow u actually removed the icing from the cake! that's amazing. i know its the most unhealthy part of a cake (except the cake itself is pretty darn evil too haha) but I never have the heart to do it :D that's just about the best shining example of dicipline from a dieter i could ever think of! good job!
i'm motivated to be more diciplined myself now :( it is very hard when i'm always super stressed out and panicing and wanting to do so much. i always wolf down anything i want to eat to reward myself... but i won't give up trying to correct it, now i know all of u guys are working just as hard at eating healthy and exercising!

Okay, I just wrote this whole reply, but somehow it is gone! Hate that! I have to go to bed, so I am only re-entering the food and exercise for now. Girls, you are the best group of encouragers ever! Go, Team!

Exercise
1 hour with Richard Simmons and the Disco sweat

Richard Simmons now there’s a name I haven’t heard for a while, I wish I could find some of his exercise tapes. You are doing terrific. Go scrappy. I went to the scrap book shop the other day …thanks for the warning … wow over whelming wasn’t the word for it. Lol I now have no idea where to start at all thankfully it was only a small shop, I don’t think I would have even entertained the idea of starting it if it was bigger. Im going to go back (when I work up the courage) and see about going to one of there classes for beginners, I don’t think I would no were to start otherwise. You must be so creative, after seeing all the options that are there I now have a whole new out look on scrap booking.

I also went to a scap book store last week. Lots and lots to choose from. I will have to wait till I have more money cause I know I will go out of control in there!
I also have Richard Simmons disco sweat. I just cant get into it cause I dont know the first thing about dancing or any of the things they are doing on that tape! LOL
Can you imagine ? My daughter was giving me this god awful look like I looked like a basket case or something, so that was put on the shelf... LOL Maybe I will try it again!

Rosered and Christina,
I'm so excited for you! Scrapbooking is such a great hobby! Scrapbooking is my creative outlet, but for the most part I am a simple scrapper. I like clean lines and I'm not into "overdone." (Plus, I'm cheap and I refuse to spend $5 on one element to put on a page!)

I'd suggest going to a beginning course. You really only need paper/pages (depending on the album), photos, a cutting tool (I'm not very good with scissors - a kindergarten teacher- go figure, so I prefer a cutting system), a scrapbooking pen, and some adhesive to get started.

If you have a Michael's or JoAnn's, they often have a great coupon (40% off) in their weekly flyer. You can use that to get some great scrapbooking supplies for less. Keep me posted!

As for me and Richard. Well, I know why he is always encouraging, "You can do this!" "Keep it up! You'll learn the moves!" Yea, he says that stuff because I am an absolute goof on the dance floor. I was telling my DH as I was trying to keep up with Richard that I really have no rythym. None. I did work up a decent sweat just trying to keep up, so once I learn the routine, I will be even more sweaty.

I'm off to a bible class; I'll have to post my food and exercise from yesterday later.
Totallyscrappy

Haha, Richard Simmons Disco Sweat! That sounds like fun!!! Hey, just trying to keep up and learn the moves is bound to give you a workout, even if you're not doing them right. You're doing great, keep it up!

okay, I'll give good ol' Richard another shot! LOL I should get this on tape! LOL
thanks for the tips on scrapbooking!
