You know, I always thought weight loss was an easy equation. You have the number of pounds to lose divided by two and that is the number of weeks it will take you to lose the weight. The reality is, well, reality. The equation would work... in a vacuum. But in reality you have days with no exercise, days with tooooo many Easter chocolates, and days with little time to stop for a drink of water.
What prompted a comment like this? No, I didn't gain any weight, but I've stayed the same. Now, I know that 180 is still 25 pounds away from where I began this, but I thought the weight loss would have been a bit steadier. Not that I am not doing well. I am still on my way to my first goal- 30 pound loss by the end of April. That leaves me a month to lose 5 pounds. Certainly doable, but I may have to kick it up a notch to make the deadline. That's okay. I can do this!

Just a little story about one of my boys...
Yesterday all three boys were watching a movie so I came in the computer room for a few moments. A little bit later I could hear my youngest (20 months) playing in the Easter eggs of my oldest son's basket. I said, "Sam, are you eating candy?" I look over and he is shrinking himself so he can peek at me from under the dining room chair. I told him to come into the computer room; that I would get him some jelly beans from his basket. He sat down with some jelly beans and he was content. A few seconds later I see him crying and fussing and throwing food from out of his mouth. There is black drool all over his hands and his face.
Guess the boy doesn't like black (licorice) jelly beans!
Gotta go to bed!
