A brand new start

Aggghhh, Kahlua Mudslide....delightful.

Hey, it's okay that you've been slipping a bit, you're still doing good. And it's great that people are starting to notice!!! It would have been too funny if you told them the drugs/sex story, but then again maybe church wasn't the best place for that. Maybe you'll get another chance in a more appropriate place to make that joke! You're doing great! 25 pounds!

Scrappy I have been thinking about starting my own weight loss scrap book but have no idea were to start. There is a scrap book place just up the road so im going to go up and pay them a visit. If I have any problems can I give you a yell?
Don’t upset yourself to much about the chocolate mate Easters nearly over.
I hope you find the perfect holiday for you and your family, by the sounds of it your going to need it lol.

Fuunky, the Kahlua mudslide was yummy! Gotta love the four packs, becasue now I have a few in the fridge. :)
Rosered, definitely go to the scrapbook store and look around. Be warned, however, it might be overwhelming! The first time I went into a scrapbook store I walked back to the car with nothing. My hubby thought I'd gone nuts. "You didn't buy anything?" It was just too overwhelming. (And that was 6 years ago. Those stores sell so much more stuff now!) I bought a magazine (Creating Keepsakes is my fave) and just looked for a while and then I got into a Creative Memories class. (Creative Memories has a website for our Australian friends.) I'd recommend going to the store and letting them set you up.
And YES, you can count on me for help. (As much help as one can get over the internet. :))
If you are looking for a great website to look at layouts try twopeasinabucket.com. You can register for free and then look through the gallery.
Thanks for all the encouragement about the holiday. It wasn't until I read your post that I got to thinking that Easter is a holiday, just like Christmas or Thanksgiving. And I would be a little lenient on myself then, so I'm going to chomp my chocolate Easter bunny unashamed! It isn't everyday that we have goodies in the house, so I'm not going to let a little chocolate indulgence make me feel guilty. And it is, by no means, the end of my healthy eating!

Yesterday's food
scrambled egg burrito (egg, cheese, salsa in a tortilla)
orange juice
water
large handful of peanuts (late breakfast, early dinner, midday shopping...)
M&M's
water
homemade macaroni and cheese
salad (l&t with french dressing)

You got that right scrappy! Don't feel guilty for celebrating a wonderful holiday! You've done SOO well!

You know, I always thought weight loss was an easy equation. You have the number of pounds to lose divided by two and that is the number of weeks it will take you to lose the weight. The reality is, well, reality. The equation would work... in a vacuum. But in reality you have days with no exercise, days with tooooo many Easter chocolates, and days with little time to stop for a drink of water.
What prompted a comment like this? No, I didn't gain any weight, but I've stayed the same. Now, I know that 180 is still 25 pounds away from where I began this, but I thought the weight loss would have been a bit steadier. Not that I am not doing well. I am still on my way to my first goal- 30 pound loss by the end of April. That leaves me a month to lose 5 pounds. Certainly doable, but I may have to kick it up a notch to make the deadline. That's okay. I can do this!
Anyway...

Today's food
1/2 cup vanilla yogurt & 1/4 cup raisin, date, pecan cereal
water
1.5 mini chocolate bunnies eaten for a preschool project (gotta be some perks for the teacher!)
goldfish crackers
water
homemade chicken noodle soup
package of cheez-it crackers
diet pepsi
large apple
linguini with sausage and peppers
square of cornbread
water
LOTS (M&M's and Cadbury eggs)of chocolate treats from the Easter baskets...
diet cherry pepsi

Exercise
2 mile walk (dvd)

Just a little story about one of my boys...
Yesterday all three boys were watching a movie so I came in the computer room for a few moments. A little bit later I could hear my youngest (20 months) playing in the Easter eggs of my oldest son's basket. I said, "Sam, are you eating candy?" I look over and he is shrinking himself so he can peek at me from under the dining room chair. I told him to come into the computer room; that I would get him some jelly beans from his basket. He sat down with some jelly beans and he was content. A few seconds later I see him crying and fussing and throwing food from out of his mouth. There is black drool all over his hands and his face.
Guess the boy doesn't like black (licorice) jelly beans! :)

Gotta go to bed!

You are doing a fantastic job!! A 25 pd loss is big! I'm with Jennifer, you'll loose more than 5 this month!

Thanks honey for the tip on the scrapbook shop, I have decided to just go and have a look ask a few questions then come back here and pump you for a few more answers lol. That’s wonderful that you had such a good Easter I think that we all have to remember that we live in the real world and that we will have days that don’t meet our diet standards but that’s ok because we are still making better choices. I hope you are having a wonderful week.

Hey, thanks for posting in my diary :) i'm glad i made you laugh, i'm kind of kooky, so i get a good laugh at my self pretty often (if we can"t laugh at our self then who can we laugh at right ;) )
And your right curse that damn easter bunny! i sent the chocolate with my husband on his lunch let him deal with it :p
as for your weight loss goal, it's way possible and i'm sure you can do it :D
( 25 lbs that how much i got to go to reach my 1st goal )
good luck :)

Thanks so much, Jennifer, Newbride, Rosered and Smiley!! I really wouldn't be doing this if it weren't for you guys! The support is crucial, isn't it?
And having you guys cheering me on for the next 5 really pumps me up!

I hate black jelly beans too!!!

They're gross.

You're doing great though. I think you can definitely reach your goal by the end of April. It does seem like an easy equation, and it's really not, but at least we've found friends to help us work out the problem.
