A brand new start

Wow, here it is Sunday evening already! Yesterday I went down to visit relatives at my cousin's 18th birthday party. Fun, but way too much food, you know what I mean. (Mental note: never buy those little frozen cream puffs.)
Just trying to get ready for the week. Spring Break is over, so it is back to school tomorrow. And this week is Holy Week, so hubby will be busy.

Today's food
banana
one donut hole
water
baked ziti with lots of cheese and garlic
1 meatball and 1/2 sausage
1/3 garlic breadstick
diet cherry pepsi
goldfish crackers
water
large salad (lettuce, tomato, cuke, red pepper, provolone cheese, carb French dressing)
3/4 peanut butter and banana sandwich
water
1/2 bag of the smart pop kettle corn (it was yummy)
water

Exercise
walked the track for 35 minutes

Off to finish up some lesson plans!

Thanks, Rosered. It was a nice weekend.

Today has been a rough day and I'm not sure why. I've just been hungry and I'm really craving chocolate and bad-for-you carbs. I was good at school, but coming home has been a little more difficult! I wouldn't think it would be so hard today since I weighed in today and I am at 180! 25 pound loss! I can't believe it! :) :D :) :D :) :D

maple and brown sugar oatmeal
milk
8 nilla wafers and 5 pretzels
water
1 cup vanilla yogurt
1/2 cup date, raisin and nut cereal
diet cherry pepsi
100 cal pack of oreos
bowl of chili
cheese
5 crackers
10 fritos
water
5 chocolate kisses
1 swiss cake roll

Although, now that I look over my food for the day...
Right this moment I do not have cravings. Right now my belly is full of protein. I had nutritious food this morning, but it was low in protein. And I struggled all afternoon, finally giving in at a weak moment. Coincidence?

Exercise
plan to walk the 2 miles on my dvd.

congrats about the 25 pounds, well done. they need to make chocolate flavoured tic tacs for people who are trying to loose weight but who love chocolate LMAO. Easter is going to be so hard for me, The boys always get tons of choccy...

Congratulations!!! That is so exciting! This is my plan for the weekend. chocolate is good... and if you deny yourself, you will just be miserable. So the way to go is to only have a little bit - if you can limit yourself to it. Two great pieces of chocolate over the weekend won't kill you =) I have also gotten into the habit of having one or two hershey kisses if i'm really craving chocolate. They are small in size, and only about 30 cals a piece ( I think) Having just one or two will help out (as long as I put the container back under the coffee table where i can't see it as soon as I get it out)!

I like to have a Hershey Kiss now and then as well. I'm a chocoholic. The other day I was really craving chocolate candy-not fat free chocolate pudding or WW chocolate ice cream, but a candy bar. So I got a box of the Slim Fast Chocolate Crispy Peanut Caramel snack bars and that totally did the trick! I had one, which is 120 cals and considered a "snack" and it satisfied my chocolate craving. It was really good. And I have five more for when the candy craving hits me again!

ooo those sounds good. I have also had a "balance" bar... which are very chocolately and rich, but kind of expensive. They do the trick and also give you some energy for the rest of the day.

Hi Scrappy!! I missed ya! I'm so glad to hear you lost so much weight!!! Good for you!! Go buy yourself some flowers!

Ladies,
You are the best! I am "over the moon!" I can't believe it. 25 pounds! My clothes are fitting better (and some of them, my fingernails are stronger, my skin looks good, my wrists look thin and people are beginning to notice!
At church the other day another mom asked if I was losing weight. I loved the look on her face when I said, "Yup. 25 pounds." Then the other mom standing nearby asked how I've been doing it. (This is where I wish I could make stuff up quickly. "Oh, I'm doing drugs and having lots of cardio-exercising sex." But I guess I'm not like that, so I just said, "Eating well and exercising almost everyday.")
It really sparked a conversation. I think most women know how to lose the weight and we all know we should be eating a good diet and getting exercise, but it is so hard to do when you have so much else going on.
Chocolate kisses are super for satisfying the chocolate cravings since they are individaully wrapped and small.
And, Rosered, I bought myself three deep pink roses. They are beautiful!

Yesterday's food
didn't have time to eat before school so grabbed cottage cheese and then it tasted funny so I wound up eating a package of wheat thins
2 bites of ice cream and a marshmallow/coconut cookie (student birthday)
water
chili
cheddar cheese
diet cherry pepsi
way too many Cadbury mini eggs (I bought them for the Easter Bunny and I should not have done that!)
chicken breast
french fries
raw carrots, broccoli, and red pepper and dip
water
diet pepsi

Exercise
none because I fell asleep before I could get myself out to the dvd player.

Happy Wednesday!

Scrappy Scrappy Scrappy you're so awesome! :) Isn't it just the greatest feeling when someone compliments you out of the blue?! I do the same thing with those on the spot comments. They're not so "on the spot" it's like 10 minutes later I think of it and want to go back and say it. lol Not so funny by the point.

Anyway! You really are doing great and I see much more success to come in your future. :)

Oh I love roses what do they smell like? What a wonderful reward and you really deserve them to, you go girl your doing terrific :D

Rosered, you crack me up! They don't actually have a smell. :( This bunch is all about color. :)

Today's food
1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
1/4 cup cereal (date, raisin, and pecans)
water
greek salad (with the potato salad... loved it)
2 pita triangles (1/8 of a pita each?) smeared with hummus
water
popcorn
and small handful of those damned Cadbury chocolate eggs!
diet cherry pepsi
2 pancakes with country crock and lite sugar syrup
banana split-1/2 banana, 1 scoop Bryer's reduced carb or lite carb ice cream (yummy), strawberries, squirt of whipped cream, peanuts, and a cherry!
water

then I got bad...
handful of french fries and a chicken strip leftover from the kiddos' lunch. Naughty, naughty, naughty! (Although, looking back, maybe I should have eaten more of a substantial dinner!)

Exercise
Well, I haven't done any yet and it is late and if put on the 'ol gym shoes I may never go to bed.
Mental note to self... exercise early tomorrow!

the roses sound so pretty...deep pink.
You are doing so splendid....you just know all those ladies at church will be inspired by you.

Rosered, I am taking a pic of the roses for my weight loss album.
Thanks, Shell. I'm not feeling very "inspiring" today. I thought Valentine's Day was rough. Easter is turning out to be difficult, too. There is just too much chocolate in the house. Hopefully, the Bunny will take the stuff and we will be done with it!
Plus, I've been stressed. We are looking into tickets to go away. The thought of "dropping" a large sum of money (I know for some people it isn't "large," but three digits of my money...) makes me nervous. I have to know that I got the best bargain for my cash and I have to weigh all the points. I've been on the computer all day and I'm not sure- STILL! And I frequently made a trip to the chocolate bag or popcorn bowl to help calm my nerves. Even exercising didn't really help me unwind.
Luckily, this decision will be made soon and Easter baskets will be consumed soon!

Today's food
2 slices whole wheat toast with country crock, cinnamon, and sugar
water
large salad (lettuce, tomato, red peppers, cheddar cheese, ranch dressing)
100 cal pack of pringles
diet cherry pepsi
Cadbury eggs
M&M's
popcorn
water
linguini with pepper and garlic sauce with ground beef
Kahlua Mudslide (yummy)

Exercise
2 mile walk
