Hey Free - it's all a matter of how U see it ?....

Glass half-full Or Glass half-empty ... ?

15 lbs.down over 19 days is average of 0.79lbs loss /DAY ( =5.53 lbs/week) ! ( most folks only manage 1-2 lbs/week ! )

...and 15 down is better than zippo loss, or yuckier yet - some gain .....! ....

...so cheer up Butter Cup - U could be doing far worse - nose to the grindstone - make a good effort for these last 9 days...

( PS - I listened to a good pod-cast on my noon-walk today - has some good points U might find helpful - just google -

Fat2Fit Radio - Show#49 - fromAug.12.2008- Obesity System Influences - about 10minutes into the podcast - they review their 6 core principles ...some very interesting ideas there ...

cheers Free - wishing U strength and much success with these next 9 days.....Keep it rolling !

I hear ya dude- I'm in same boat - sick & tired of the loss/re-gain too....but patience grasshopper.....U are getting so close to success....then U get to learn the fine art of maintenance..... U can & U Will do it - ... learning - it's just the "adding up" of all the choices....and keeping some of those choices as permanent habits ( even after you are at goal weight) ie. Daily Exercise , only rarely Fries ... ~ It's not the bit of indulging between Xmas & New Year's that matters,( everyone can have a break here 'n there) - it's making all the daily choices the rest of the year - between NewYears and the next Xmas that count & add up....

keep on adding up your good-choices...
7_3_205.gif
...and make some a daily habit forever ( exercise, more veggies etc.)....

~ remember my discovery this spring/summer - just 1/2 hr walk daily was all it took to keep my weight stable - no food changes were involved - so once you get there - goal weight - all the starving and extreme will be behind you - All it will take to stay there - will be a DAILY Choice - but a simple choice - just all you'll have to do is make that small effort everyday to stay there...nothing major - just a bit of walking & broccolli - and U will be FREE of that Fat Monkey on Ur back Forever.... I think that's not too huge a price for freedom from the weight-rat-race...??

then U can Surf on the "top of the wave" ....thru the future - without the down-up/ losing & re-gaining...without starving.........Just riding the wave of healthy everyday- less extremes....

Binged badly yesterday. Took Live 2 Live on Green & lost count of cal consumption but I know it was over 2k. :)

& - go Burn off some of that frustration with some High-power calorie-burning exercise.........

Was having that same feeling yesterday. Suppose there's not much to do but persevere. I have no real advice, just wanted to say I understand completely.

hhmmmm.....maybe "adjust" plan? .... 7 days-7 pounds?....then squeeze-off the last 3 pounds in an extra-week?...( just an option)...

Chin up my friend,

Setting big goals is great for motivation but don't worry if you don't make it all the way on such a short timeline. Congratulate yourself for the weight you have dropped in a very short time and get working on another set of goals. The pounds melt off really quick in the first two weeks but after that you have to stay consistent and not expect too much.

Just can't do it MA. I'm at the end of the rotation according to the Katahn diet & in the 1600 to 2200 rotation in my modified diet. No way I can lose 11 lbs in a 1600 to 2200 rotation. If I go back to 1200/1500 rotation I'll screw up my metabolism.

Thanks FG! I knew my goals were ambitious. I'm a bit disappointed but still in the game.

Off diet & exercise this week. I've decided 2 go back 2 a 3 week rotation. I just need a break after 3 weeks of dieting. Hopefully this plan is something I can stick to for 5 months or however long I need to take off another 70 lbs. :driving:

1 of reasons Rotation Diet works so well is that it is designed to keep U psychologically motivated to lose weight. As I was going into the 4th week, I was starting to lose my motivation. That is why I modified my rotation again to exclude my 4th week and revert to a 3 week diet. Now I am getting eager to start dieting again. Hopefully this will make it easier to maintain my diet long term.

So here's my latest modified Rotation Diet:

1st Week:

Alternate between 1200 and 1500 calories for 6 days then 1500 on 7th day.

2nd Week:

Next 7 days 1800/1500 calorie alternation

3rd Week:

Alternate between 1200 and 1500 calories for 6 days then 1500 on 7th day.

4th Week: Off Diet
