50 lbs Down & 50 to Go!

I'm purposely not keeping track of my diet, not keeping up a regularly exercise regime & not weighing myself this week. Psychologically I think it is important that I not feel at all like I'm dieting this week. This is making me very motivated to get started back on my 3 week Rotation next week.

That is why I modified my rotation again to exclude my 4th week and revert to a 3 week diet. Now I am getting eager to start dieting again. Hopefully this will make it easier to maintain my diet long term.

So here's my latest modified Rotation Diet:

1st Week:

Alternate between 1200 and 1500 calories for 6 days then 1500 on 7th day.

2nd Week:

Next 7 days 1800/1500 calorie alternation

3rd Week:

Alternate between 1200 and 1500 calories for 6 days then 1500 on 7th day.

4th Week: Off Diet

:smash:

4 things I did wrong last year: 1) Stopped journaling here 2) Didn't give myself a break every 4th week 3) Stopped making healthy eating choices 4) Stopped exercising. I'm fortunate that I only gained back 15 of the 60 lbs I lost.

Most excellent insights Free ! - U R so getting smart dude.... :coolgleama:

- journalling here is Great for keeping on-track ( get's Ur mind on healthy every Day ! )(& I'm pretty sure I read somewhere in Kathan's book that while calorie rotation and exercise are key components to weight-loss & maintenance- you need "support" - & the folks on this site are a great support & info resource.)

- a "break week" sounds good - it's a win-win - helps the mind , helps the metabolism...and actually follows Katah'ns' book (he has the "off-rotation-higher calorie week )...

- healthy choices - YES YES - ( I had a bit of richer food these last couple days with Thanksgiving here...and didn't like how I felt this AM - healthy choices definately make the body feel much better).( and I also have really found-that the unhealthy choices bring a lot of guilt with them - that 'mental burden" that comes with unhealthy really sucks.)

- Exercise - yes yes - ( daily exercise - helps weight loss- and made a daily habit - it the best insurance to never ever be over-weight again - Ever ) - move EVERyday- Never gain ....

Good Plan Free - 4 very Smart points... :hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray:

Enjoying eating chocolate & pizza w/o counting calories. I'm probably not eating substantially more than the 1800 to 2200 that I would have been eating on my 4th week plan, but I realized that psychologically I needed a break from counting calories.

Enjoy eating chocolate and pizza. Taking a break helps a lot of people that are on weight loss programs to feel better psychologically because it makes them feel like they're not on a diet. It works but be cautious and don't over eat as this may cause the weight to dramatically increase again.

Unless the muslim Communist PERVERT bo is re-elected, I'll probably be dieting for the rest of my life. Food is just too plentiful in the USA and there are just too many occasions to celebrate with food. Of course, if bo is re-elected then we'll all starve to death and we won't have to worry about dieting. :ack2:

Hope you enjoy your break week!! Good luck getting back on track, I am sure you can get back to it! I don't think that I could do it. I find the WORST thing for me is to 'eat bad' (ie. go on vacation or something) then try to get back on track. That's generally when I fail! So a break week won't be in MY 'diet plan', but each person is an individual and different things work for different people!

Last year I was on a series of 28 day diets with no break. That just didn't work for me psychologically. After about three months I went off plan and never got back to dieting. Now with this break week I eager to get back on my diet.

Ole Miss & So Cal both play on national TV today so I should get a lot of biking & rowing in today.

I've got 2 track exercise 2. Last week I only exercised my fingers playing Liv's Tele & scouring CraigsList 4 one just like it.

Thanks Jacob but I ate too much chocolate, pizza & chips. Afraid I can't take anymore break weeks untill I shed another 50.

Yup- Daily exercise is a must do!
Even if tired- still do somethin.....
A gal I work with is stable weight- she says even if 15mins is all U can muster- its worth it- it raises metabolism- long aftr exercise is done.
Seems 2 be true- I wasn't 100% good on food last wk- but did exercise and did get a loss
- so Do That EXerciSe!!- DAILY!
