<3Cerella's Restarting, Refocused and Remotivated<3

Thanx ladies...for the leaning to the right, I go see a chropracter for more tests but I just haven't been able t make it there yet...Ive been focusing on accupuncter as he is really helping me with my foot and my wrist and fingers adn hands...

Well we had a fire in the house Monday night...it could have bene a lot worst and we are all ok, but it was traumatic...the whole kitchen is ruined and there is a shit load of smoke damage through out the whole house...

My irresponsible daughter is responsible for the fire...it was a kitchen fire started on the stove...the stove itselfs caught on fire as well...but at least we are all ok.

Restoration begins today *SIGHS* lol

Sorry to hear about the fire. Thank God that you are all ok. The damage will be a major nuisance though. Do you have insurance for sorting it out?

These things are bad with insurance - but a whole lot worse without it. I'm pleased that you have the insurance as it is easier to find the excess than the whole lot. That sounds like a lot of damage you have there.

Hey Girl! Thanks for stopping by my place to say hello. Sorry to hear you aren't losing that fast on WW. I thought I would tell you what I have been doing....

Started out with 29 points, and now I am down to 25 points a day after dropping 25lbs.
I do flex points.
I try to exercise at least 3 hours a week at high intensity, meaning I am sweating pretty good. Some weeks are more, some weeks are less.
I don't eat my exercise points, unless I really need them.
I drink 8-10 glasses of water per day.
I try not to eat much salt a few days before weigh in, this really helps!

As for recipes....
My favorite dish is either Nachos or burritos.

Burritos (5points)
2 corn tortillas (1pt each=2pts)
1 slice 2% kraft sharp cheddar slices (1pt)
1/2 cup Bushs Chili Beans (no meat) (1 pt)
2 Tbsp FF Sour Cream (1pt)
2 Tbsp Guacamole (0pts)
2 tbsp Pace Picante Salsa (0pts)

Take a plate, throw the tortillas on it, put 1/4 cup of beans on each one in the middle. Put a half of the cheese slice on each one. Nuke it for 45 sec to warm it up. Take it out, roll up the tortillas like enchiladas, then nuke it for 20 more seconds. Take it out, top it with the sour cream, guac, and salsa, and whala!! It's easy and it tastes sinful!! I can eat these all day long.

Nachos (6 points)
1 serving Trader Joes Brand Wheat Chips (2pts)
1/2 cup Bushs chili beans (1 pt)
2 slices 2% cheese (2pts)
2 Tbsp FF Sour Cream (1pt)
2 Tbsp Guacamole (0pts)
2 tbsp Pace Picante Salsa (0pts)

Put the chips on the plate, throw the beans on, cut up the cheese and spread it out evenly. This stuff melts like velveeta, it's great. Needs about 45sec to 1 minute in the microwave. Then throw the toppings on and you are done!

To save points, cut back the sour cream.

Give it a try if you like southwest food.

I'm so sorry to hear about the fire--but glad that everyone is ok. I'll bet your daughter learned her lesson, even if it was the hard way. Is she old enough to babysit or something to pay you back some of that $500 deductable?

I set my kitchen on fire once back when I was in Korea. I had never deep fried on my own before, and decided to do it with some fish. For some stupid reason I thought the oil had to come to a boil before dropping the fish in. I kept waiting and waiting, but it never did..lmao. Then the pan caught on fire, and I panicked. I threw a cup of water on it. BAD idea! :smilielol5: A huge flame shot up from the pan, scaring the hell out of me. I ran into my bedroom, chucked the cup onto the bed, and dashed out the window onto the balcony where I went around to the living room to peer in at what was going on. Black smoke was billowing across the kitchen ceiling. I saw that I could get out the front door, however. It was summer and hot as hell, so I was in shorts and a sports bra. I went banging on the neighbors door yelling in Korean to call the fire dept...:smilielol5: They must've thought I was nuts! The neighbor lady came back to my apt and opened the door. The fire was out, but there was black, oily smoke everywhere. The fire dept came and bandaged my foot I had injured whilst leaping onto the balcony..lmao. Then they left once they saw the fire was out. My neighbors were kind enough to stay and help me clean up the mess--which I thought was incredibly kind of them. My foot was killing me, and later that night I could barely walk. I ended up in the ER with a fractured foot and stitches. That is my kitchen fire story. Not nearly as severe as yours. In fact, mine's funny, whereas yours is not. Anyway, I hope that gave you a laugh. :D

Hang in there, dear. :hug2:

OMG, how did I miss the fire post? I guess it is going to be hard to cook in the meantime. So sorry to hear that. I hope you get things back together quick.

So I guess that is it...I have lost a whole 2 lbs since joining Weight Watchers now I am in my 5th week...however Im really starting to ge the program downa dn learning what i need to tweak and such and how it trully works...

That is it for now I guess.

Your weight loss seems too slow. Are you staying within your points and exercising most days? There must be something else going on if you are following the plan right and not losing.

I hope you get help with your medical problems. Your comments about your foot pain and leaning sound like my symptoms. I feel pain in my right foot, and I seem like I lean to the right. I need to go get adjusted. Let me know how the acupuncture stuff works out.

My weight loss has always been slow and very hard earned - I dunno...it sucks...I wasn't religiously following it for a cpl of weeks but now I seem to be focused and have it down...it is hard and I figured I would prove them wrong when they say everyone is guarented to loose weight - lol...but every week i go down a tiny bit...

And I exercise like crazzzy - Im focusing on more intense and Im playing tennis twice a week for abt 1.5 - 1.75 hrs at a time...it seems to be helping.

The accupuncter is great...my feet and wrists and hands have had no pain for two weeks...he uses lazers and needles, he used the lazer for my foot and my right wrist, he always uses a special lazer for my ears and does alot of work through my ears and he is also treating me for weight loss - through the ears as well...

Poor girl! I know all about the frustrations, hence I'm always researching to figure out how I can feel better and finally get this damn weight off. I will keep you posted with the amino acid thing to see if it works.. Luv ya girlie :)

I am pleased to hear that the acupunture is going well. I didnt know that they could do it with lasers these days.

I hope that the kitchen fire business is all getting back to something approaching normal. That would have all been such a lot of stress for you.

It sounds like WW is working for you - just slowly. Did I see you post on one of the summer solstice threads that you had a good weightloss this past week?

I have joined WW now. I have 17 points per day - but I need more than that for food every day. Luckily I have a WW pedometer which gives me extra points for my walking. I am picking up an extra 6.5 to 7 points per day with that. That really makes the difference between me being able to bring my food in on target under either "points" or "core".

Take care
Love
Margaret

Im doing ok - with working nights and playing tennis 2 -3 times a week with my cousin and hte stress of everything else - Im hanging in there...I had a very busy weekend of course cuz im always busy it seems...not only am I always busy but now i need to cram sleep into my day which is hard and harder for me to find the time and energy for exercise as well...I have yet to find a balance and routine yet as I have only worked nights for a week so far...

Margaret - I get 32 points but i need to drop them a bit cuz im not as active as I was since switching to nights...but that is why I am grateful I am bigger cuz I get more points ha ha ha...where do you get a ww pedometere from ? I have a WW scale but not a body fat one - which I might consider switching to...would be nice if I could monitor body fat - maybe I wouldn't beat myself up as much - we will see...

Thanx to those of you that drop by and check on me...
