Ok - obviously ive been struggling - it seems either i have it or I dont...I exercise my ass off and dont loose it is discouraging...

My mom and I swear I have a thyroid problem - Im always cold and tired...I gain weight so fast and easily...blah blah blah...I am reading this book about thyroid and it has a thyroid diet in it...it is no diff than other things...it is eating a protien with a carb I believe anyway...im gonna try that.

It seems all I need to do is look at bad food and gain - I really dont want to have to live off of salads and veggies and fruit to loose weight but looks liek I have no choice - that and a shit load of exercise is the only thing that seems to work - Im discourage and such but oh well - now I am gonna focus on the food...I am good with the exercise, ive got that down...

so that is my cry for help nothing is working post - lol

when I get home I will go grocery shopping and get lots of good food and just live off of salads, protein, veggies and fruit...
 
I'm with ya girl, I understand what your going through. I deleted my diary b/c I've just given up on myself...for a while anyhow. Anyways, just keep at it hun, I'm here for you!

You will figure out the diet soon Cinderelly ..sometimes it takes a while ... you will get your groove on with the food too .. I too am having a hard time figuring out how much to eat .. u know

You may very well have a thyroid problem. Have you seen your doctor about it? AmyRB has major thyroid issues, but it looks like the meds she's on have really made a difference. I hope you get it sorted out, hon. :)

Hey girly I agree with the above panle plus my aunt is on thyroid meds to help her but I heard you are pretty much on them for good?ANyway whatever get you to feel better and gain control thats what is important.I am here for ya girl,hope you have a nice night **TAMMY*8
 
Ya im bad with checking in...I just dont have alot of time these days...the kids keep me busy enough and then there is work...

Im gonna join Weight Watchers for 5 weeks and go from there...it is 100 bucks for 5 weeks I can handle that and it is a starting point - It will help me with portions and choices and maybe help me figure out where I am going wrong.A friend of mine is going and I will go with her for support...5 weeks is long enough to loose some weight and get back on track and to see if it works...

Yesturday I ate lots...all day long - LOL...abt 6 mini meals by 6 pm and lots of protein...I also started my day with a walk and did over 2 hours of floor exercises...

Pretty much ignored the kids mind you but i did it...

Recap of exercise

Mon - 45 min walk - 45 mins Elliptical 6 miles
Tues - 30 min walk - 45 mins of floor exercises, 65 mins of Yoga with Weights...
Wed - walking with work and the guys

Hey, long time no see my darling, i'm glad you are starting back with the journal and stuff. I too will start back...and I need to punch it into high gear.

I still don't know how you do it, with the kids and the job, but i'm proud of you!

Spring break is coming up soon, and i'm happy a little rest. Heh, I shoudln't whine, i'm only taking 3 classes (err...Calc II, chem II w/ lab, and general physics I w/ lab). But definitely, during this summer...i'll kick it into high gear.

You keep it up cerelly. I know you can do it :)...I don't know if i'm gonna start a journal again or not....i might hide in someone elses ;).

btw: I know you will..but keep us updated with weight watchers! My mom is thinking about joining it...and i may do it too....
Also..i haven't weighed myself in a while...i know i've gained weight though...i see it in the mirror..but i'm more motivated then ever! :)

I'll stick around some more and check up on your progress. once again, awesome job!

I hope that the WW deal works for you. Weight loss slows down for all of us at times - but WW does have a good reputation and I know someone who lives near me who was just telling me today that she has lost 18 pounds with them since New Year. She is naturally delighted with this.

I intend on joining WW in a few weeks time myself in order to gain a level of support in readiness for maintenance. I am heading towards my goal weight and you have to join while you are overweight still.

You may feel despondent at times - but take it from me - your exercise levels are great. I was particularly impressed by your pushing someone in wheelchair - as I agree that this is definite resistance training.

I think that it is a good idea to get your thyroid checked out. Medication and special diets can make a huge difference in these things.

I was interested to see that you are starting to only have carbohydrates with protein. I try to do that. It really isnt too onerous for me. Breakfast cereals are ok because they all contain protein. I gave up bread last summer because it was working against my weightloss. Often in meals - I pile vegetables high but have no potatoes - nowadays I only tend to have potatoes with salmon. It really ends up meaning that if I am having rice or pasta - I make sure that I am having some form of protein with the meal.

Portion control and an occasional desire to have something a bit fattening which is not particularly healthy are issues that most people on this forum can identify with.

ADAM - it is sooo great to see you:D:D:D - We really need to try to talk more online - prob is if im not working or sleeping im working out or cleaning this damn place that doesnt clean itself - teenagers and preschoolers - GEEESH!!!LOL

Korrie - Im just busy working all the time - Im on call and prebooked and go non stop...plus it is 10 hr shift work - it gets exhausting with the kids...

Im disappointed however i am now taking charge agian - everythign else in my life is in order for once - Im happy and feel great by myself , my kids, my situation everythign - I am honestly and truly happy again - I have exercise under control now it is time to get the eating under control agian...

My first Weight Watchers meeting is tonight - Michelle and I are joining tonight and i will be leaving shortly...

I just did 45 mins of the Biggest Loser Circuit wwith skipping in between my reps - geeesh exhausting :) I worked last night it was the overnight which is a cleaning shift...and I was also outside running around and playing with my little one:)

It is off I go...i think this will be the beginning of a new chapter for me and i will start relosign the weight agian...

My new goal for now is to just get below 200 - I wanna see the 190's and go from there.

One thing I forgot to mention that I thought was the coolest - was that Taneesha my 3.5 yr old did my 45 min circuit with me:)Im raising her well!!!Even the ab work!!!

The meeting went well - I weighted in at 239.2 that part sucked but what can ya do...im anticipating it is downward from here - im actually kinda excited - we will see what becomes of this next week.
