377lb to 215lb

Careful with weights. Start out easy and light. Don't push it. Getting hurt can damage morale for weights and diet. Looking forward to your update.

Thanks everyone :) I'm doing my best!

This week was tougher than usual as some financial issues came up and I was feeling rather stressed, but I still managed a loss of 0.2lb.

Sure it's not anything to brag about, but it's nothing to be disappointed with either :)

A loss is a loss.

Hey congrats on your weight loss, you are looking really good.truly an inspiration to us trying to lose some weight.just a quick question, how tall are you?

You look great man ! Keep up the good work ! We all have some setbacks, just gotta stay with it.

Do you find the last pounds more difficult to get rid of than the others ?

Thanks bud :)

It seems the closer you get to your goal, the trickier it becomes - and I still have a ways to go yet.

It's just a matter of your body adjusting to your regimen. In the beginning, I was dropping weight rather quickly. But then, after becoming used to the routine and as my body got stronger, I've plateaued briefly every now and then, so you just have to keep tweaking it by enhancing your exercise and adjusting your calorie intake.

I'm only about 34 pounds from being at my initial goal of losing 200 pounds, but in order to reach my ideal weight, I still need to lose an additional 12-15 pounds afterward. I think around 165 is right for me.

It can really test your patience sometimes, but like you said, you just gotta stay with it :)

Thank you so much everyone! The kind words always help strengthen my resolve :)

Wow that was an amazing accomplishment. And you looks so handsome too!
Your mom would be proud of you for sure!

Thanks, Krazygirl

I appreciate that. I know she would be. The rest of my family is inspired and so proud :)

I'm still a few months away from hitting my initial goal of 200 lost, but once I do, there will be updates/pics and lots of smiley faces :D :D

I sure hope so, Spark :) Depression is something I've definitely battled a long time, but I've found taking Krill Oil helps (it's similar to fish oil). I take it every day along with a One-A-Day multivitamin.

And thanks, Day. I love that show :p

I've hit a few plateaus where I've barely lost anything over several weeks (October 2010 was tough), but the most important thing is to just stick with it.

For anyone having trouble, that's the key to succeeding: Do not stop.

Becoming discouraged is just part of the cycle. I'm sure we've all been there, and that's why forums like this exist.

I can't tell you how upsetting it is sometimes to look at the scale and know it should be giving me a better number, but that's just how the game is played. You're up against a really tough opponent, but once you develop and perfect your strategy, you can win :)

This post was really touching for me. You made me tear just a lil bit. Great words of wisdom pal.

And looking great!! You've come so far.
