2016 | My Weight Loss Journey

I love seeing your motivation allicat. It is infectious. I don't know if people realise it, but when you share your positivity it has a big rippling effect & spreads to others. Well done :)

Ooh good luck with the 10k, looks like you're well on your way already with all the running!!

luzdafuzz -- LUCY?! Omg I remember you.... I was TopazCutie YEARS AGO but my login wouldn't work so I just created a new username. How are you?? I remember us being very similar in weight and height. Hii :hurray:

Okay finally the forum glitches have sorted themselves out and I can get back to journaling.

Had a great weekend with the boy, we celebrated his birthday in the best way so now time to go back to weight loss mode although i did enjoy the break. 157.6 yesterday, yikes! Yesterday I stopped eating after 6pm and I must say I felt amazing when I woke up.

Between my birthday, the holidays and my boyfriend`s birthday -- I fell off the wagon over the last few months and gained weight. The sad part is I KNEW what I was doing to my body and knew it would cause weight gain. I'm not sure why I did it, but it's time to finally lose the weight and feel like myself again just in time for Summer. In total I need to lose roughly 30 pounds, putting me in the high 120's or so. I know that IF works for my lifestyle so I'm currently starting off with that to kick start things. If I don't start drastically enough then barely any change happens. Then exercise - I literally have 2 races I'm doing in May. Then in March I have a Christening to attend where I have to look my best. Next month is Valentine's day for goodness sake. I need to lose the weight starting right now as opposed to thinking I have all this unlimited time to make it happen. I have stayed the same weight since highschool, that in itself is an accomplishment I guess but I need to be more disciplined with myself to take it to the next level. Saw a friend I haven't seen in a really long time and she lost 40 pounds, she looks amazing and is my inspiration. I remember feeling happy at 138ish pounds. If I can get back there i can decide if I want to go lower. But for now, it's time to make changes for results.

YAY! Someone else doing IF! :D It's great that you're back on track. Going to the gym in the freezing cold? Good for you!

I ended up doing a 30 min workout at home tonight. I modified Jillian Michaels 30 day shred to be a little more booty intensive. Love it :) This is a classic workout for times like this when its too cold.

Stir fried mixed vegetables for lunch - so good! Drinking warm lemon water, I usually drink my lemon water cold but warm is nice too.

I have a couple of warm lemon & honey drinks every night (except for fast days) Love them!

Yesterday may just have been the day for rocky mornings. Me too. Hope your day got better xo

153.4 today!!!

Just learned there's a HIIT Setting on the treadmill! This will make it so easy to toggle between speeds. Off to the gym to try it out. I Haven't run in OVER a week so its well overdue!

Did an HIIT workout on the treadmill. toggled the speeds between 3.5 and 5.2 using the speed interval mode. Felt soo good! Was definitely harder towards the middle and end. I dunno if this is the best way to train for a marathon but it's a start.

My goal for this week is to workout daily. 30 mins of cardio, nothing too major. As for eating, I'm going to try and eat steamed broccoli before dinner every day.
