2010, the year I danced myself thin!

Today's weigh in says I am 2!!!!! pounds lighter than last week. I weighed quickly yesterday to check if the numbers coincided with the other set of scales and they mostly did (in the 140 area). So I will believe this result (as it makes sense when you see how much I exercise and move and how correct I eat) and think that yesterday's higher number was just due to too much salt and water.
Yey!!!!!

Anyhow, will be back this evening to update my food log. I hate that my ticker needs to be rcreated every time I want to change the weight on it (because it is too long to fit fully into my signature so I just copy the image instead of the whole URL). My old one I could just change the numbers in the CP area and it would update automatically. Oh well I guess once a week creating a new ticker is not the end of the world.

Thank you trusylver and 20to10 for your visits.

I got late evening craves and gave in. Was studying and I did well today for a change, so it is ok to give myself a little treat.

Food log:
Breakfast: fruit and yoghurt (165 cals)
Snack: 1 banana, 1 low fat yoghurt (150 cals total)
Lunch: big portion of macaroni bolognaise (750 cals)
Dinner: 2 artichokes (150 cals), 1 asparagus omelette with 1 egg, 2 eggwhites (200 cals)
Craves: 1 low fat yoghurt (80 cals), 4 small pieces of choc (200 cals)

Overall: about 1700 cals

No exercise.

Plan for tomorrow, study a lot more, maybe go for a walk if it is not too cold and rains, to clear my mind.

Had a pretty crappy day, Valentine's day apart from your loved ones and studying all day is not a good thing, felt quite depressed and emotionally hungry all day. Enough said, tomorrow is another day

Food log:
Breakfast: fruit and yoghurt (165 cals), 1 banana (75 cals)
Lunch: big portion of macaroni bolognaise (750 cals), small side salad (100 cals), 1 apple (50 cals)
Dinner: big salad (200 cals), 1 mug of soup (100 cals), 1 yoghurt (80 cals)

Total: 1520 not bad

No exercise

Long day and not over yet... still have 3 and a half lectures to review, ugh! I did the mistake of opening a snackpack of "japanese" crackers this morning and I stuffed myself on them, oh dear... I cannot wait for the exam to be over and being under control again. I am not really outwardly stressed but this emotional hunger is killing me.
I am getting better and better at dancing though I am very happy with the elasticity I am gaining and today the teacher was fairly happy with me, she squeezed my arm (and I am going to believe that she meant "well done" and not "oh dear all is lost with you I will just humour you").

Food log:
Breakfast: yogurt and muesli (350 cals)
Snacks: japanese crackers (350 cals), surimi (100 cals)
Lunch: big salad with warm pasta in it (500 cals), 1 yogurt (80 cals)
Dinner: spinach omelette (250 cals), 1 mug of soup (100 cals), 1 kinder egg (100 cals)

Overall: 1800 ish ugh!

Exercise:
90 minutes of jazz dance

Sorry to hear about the emotional hunger, but I think it's normal to let yourself go from time to time. I'm happy to learn that the dancing is going well! (I'm sure she meant "well done"!

Hugs!
Lilia

Thank you Lilia for visiting, I do thin my jazz dance teacher likes me, she waved today from a different class when she saw me passing and later came out and squeezed my arm again. That is nice that she likes me and yesterday she helped me better my posture (I was not properly tucked in when doing an arabesque therefore falling forwards). I love it when the teachers correct me because it means they are trying to help me be better and they actually have not given up on me.

Today I was supergood eatingwise, all day I fought the desire for a snickers, I am allowing myself a snickers on thursday before the exam as a little pick me up and to give my brain good chocolatey energy, but I don't want to have one every day. And I know it is just a crave and nothing else and I have the power to say no to craves.
I also did my tuesday weigh in and I weigh mroe or less the same 137 still, which is good, I was afraid with the last few disastrous days I would have put on some weight but all is good. I will weigh in on thursday officially but don't expect big movement (my minigoal was 135 but I am guessing that won't happen) and on friday on my parents' home scales just to correlate numbers.

Food log:
Breakfast: 1 big yoghurt with a little bit of muesli, 1 small soy latte (sugarfree), 1 banana (all in all about 500 cals)
Lunch: 2 small pieces of cod (150 cals) and 3 very small potatoes with yoghurt and herb dressing (about 350 cals)
Snack: 1 apple (50 cals)
Dinner: veggies stir fry with 1 egg and 1 eggwhite (300 cals)

Overall: 1350 cals

Exercise:
90 minutes of contemporary ballet

Today was a really good day eating and activity wise... studywise it was acceptable managed to study about 10 lectures, not in detail but I think I am fairly prepared for that exam tomorrow. A bit nervous because I am not familiar with the form of the exam, but I am hoping for the best and well if worst comes to worst I can retake it later on. But I won't, because I am passing it!

Loved my dance today and it went on and lasted 2 hours, yey. We did portes, which means assisted lifts in english I think, and I was coupled with a girl who is very similar to me body structure wise, a bit chubby but athletic enough. We did quite well but my arms ache... 145ish pounds of lifting is no joke, especially when your arms are not used to it. And we did jumps which is the single hardest bit, I was so sweaty afterwards, I had to go to the bathroom to wipe myself... sweat literally running down my arms and chest. Gross. But a great feeling. My feet are a bit peeled from dancing barefeet today (yesterday I kept slipping in my socks so I am back to barefeet, I'd rather build a thick skin I guess, then it won't hurt anymore), my knees are all bruised (we are learning to pirouette on one knee)... but I am so happy, I had the best time.

Food log:
Breakfast: yogurt with muesli (300 cals??)
Snack: 1 banana, 2 choc rice cakes (220 cals total)
Lunch: 1/2 chicken breast, 3 potatoes with yoghurt dip (580 cals total)
Snack: 2 ricecakes (150 cals)
Dinner: spinach omelette (200 cals), big green salad (150 cals)

Total: 1500 exactly (though guesstimating a bit here and there)

Exercise:
1 hour walk with baby in sling
2 hours jazz dance

You are making me very jealous of your dancing :p :p you are so lucky!

Looks like you are doing great! Good luck on your exam!!

You sound like you're doing so well, Camy. I'd love to do dancing but I have the skills of a dying goldfish. You're doing awesome though!! xx

I'M happy to hear it's going so well with your dancing! :) It really sounds like your dance teacher likes you and wants to help you!
Keep it up! :hug2:

Beadz, Hana, Lilia, thank you for visiting. I believe if you love something you can do it, I am certainly not one of the naturally graceful dancers, but I put my all into it... and since I don't see myself I feel like I am doing it amazingly!

Sorry for not updating for like 4 days, I was home home at my parents' and I forgot my password for this place so I could not access it.. anyhow I ate a lot, not so much in snacks, just large meals, tomorrow is my midweek weigh in and we will see the damages, however I am also due my period tomorrow so a big gain could indicate water retention! Anyhow I tried to make wise choices where I was able, but it is just so easy to eat a lot when someone else cooks and the food is all so yummy. We did walk a fair bit on one day (shopping hahaha), and I bought myself a bra, 2 t shirts, a new pair of jeans (my very first pair of actual skinny jeans) and 1 pair of knickers (size S).
I had vowed not to ever buy jeans/trousers bigger than a 38 (that is a uk 10 or an american 6) again but these fit me just right and are a 40 (or 12 or 8) and my mom was willing to pay for them so I bought them... this is my last pair of jeans in that size!!!

Dancing was awesome as ever, my knee is pretty bruised though, I really need knee protectors, but they are expensive. I also managed to cut one of my feet with my own toe nail (of the other foot) and to burn a toe while pirouetting.. my poor poor feet! I also bruised a hand I just saw and an elbow. And then they say doing sports is GOOD for you!!

Food log:
Breakfast: 1 banana, 1 apple
Snack: 1 caramel soy latte
Lunch: 1 medium plate of pasta with tomato sauce, 1/2 mug of bouillon
Snack: nut bar and small apple juice
Dinner: 1 big green salad with tuna and carrots

Overall cals about 1400

Exercise:
1 hour walk with baby in buggy
100 minutes of jazz dance

Hi Camy!

I wanted to stop by and say Hello, and thank you once again for the advice you gave me on my diary some time ago. I took a lot of it to heart, and slowly began integrating bits and pieces of activity into my day at work. I climb the stairs several times a day now - and I don't feel like I'm dying anymore! I've banned myself from taking the elevator until my birthday in October, barring extenuating circumstances, of course - and I'm so excited feeling the difference in my stamina in just a few weeks :) I've progressed from managing to do 60% of my 20 min Turbo Jam video to almost being able to complete the whole 45 min workout... and I do it everyday! Foodwise I've stuck to low GI because I just ... FEEL really good getting rid of all the processed starches, but DH and I do substitute whole wheat and grains etc when necessary.

All in all, I just wanted to say that your less "woohoo you go girl" and more "here's some good advice" was VERY much appreciated - I've only lost 7.2lbs now (weighed myself this morning but I don't want to update my ticker until my "official" weigh-in day next Monday :coolgleamA:) but doing it the right way and feeling like I'm on the right track to eventually reaching my goal is an amazing feeling.

So, thank you! I'm cheering you on in your journey too, although goodness knows you're sprinting towards that finish line :) :auto:

Hey! :)
About the jeans thing seriously the fact that it's a 6 or a 8 doesn't change much, depending of the style and the company, I know some friends who have many different sizes that fit them perfectly because the company producing them makes bigger or smaller clothes, I know that once while I was shopping, a pair of pants (medium) would fit me perfectly and another pair of pants (large) would be too small because they came from 2 different companies, so really the important thing is that they fit you well, that you feel great in them and nobody else will know weither their a size 6 or 8 (except if you tell them :p)
hugs
Lilia

Thank you for visiting girls, I had so much to write but nw it is so late I will just skip it.
I weighed 2 pounds more than last weigh in today but I am also due my period today (but did not get it, I am hoping for tomorrow so that by friday my fluid retention will have gone down for my weigh in). So overeating did not cause too big a damage...

Food log:
Breakfast: 1 banana, 1 apple, 1 caramel soy latte
Lunch: 1 medium portion of pasta with spicey tomato sauce
Dinner: 1 mug of bouillon, 1 spinach and carrot omelette with 1 egg and 1 egg white
Snack: I grazed on these cookies today and ate about 400 cals worth of them, I also had some potato chips (not too many), a juice and a sweet coffee... cals for the day probably up in the 1700-1800 region. My actual food was not that calorific, the snacks though...

Exercise:
walked about 45 minutes with the baby in pram
90 minutes of contemporary ballet

Hi Camy! :smash:
Just lurking around here trying to slueth more about my partner haha :troll:

Your meals look really tasty, but im especially curious about that carrot omelette. I have never EVER heard/tried of mixing that veggie in, but I could see it working well!

I loooove eggs. LOVE them. I have them everyday. They're like a perfect little protein snack! With that, i've been experimenting with veggies in my omelettes to see if I could find a really tasty combination. This morning I used ham, cheese, spinich and bell peppers. It was really good, but I think I needed a tad more spice, soooo maybe tabasco or salsa tomorrow!

Anyways, glad to have you in the BL challenge!

GO ORANGE!

Having your period can do that, but at least you know it's not caused by overeating and you're conscious of the fact that it should be back to normal by next week! :)
Go girl! You can do It! :D
