Coffee
Dark beer
Red Wine
Red meat

Can we start an appreciation society? I couldn't live without these things. Many of them in combination :)

Perfect! I make a fantastic latte! I'll have to get some non-fat milk for you though.

Great! I can't stand the taste of whole milk it's usually made from in cafés. I make it every morning at home. You don't actually want me to do anything complicated before I've had a couple of sips at least... ;)
Happy Friday the 13th to you!
Julie

Rich men seriously need tob e on that list or at least men - the rich part we can negotiate :)

I'd make it rich to be on the safe side. It's not so much for the money which makes you happy, but for avoiding the lack of money which tends to make everything so difficult... :p

Yesterday was a good day food-wise:

7:30 am - big Latte (with 4oz of espresso....mmmmm yummy!)
8:00 am - 1-1/2 cups of blueberry oatmeal
10:00am - banana, 1/3 cup raw almonds
11:00am - Apple, yogurt with 2 tsp of flax seeds mixed in
12:15pm - Bean burrito (mushed pinto beans, a little cheddar and some salsa on a wholewheat/flax wrap), Large baby spinach salad (8cups) with olive/flax oil and an organge for dessert
4:00pm - Bean burrito, baby carrots, 1/2 cup cottage cheese
6:00pm - Protein shake
7:30pm - Cod filet, 1 cup basmati rice, baby spinach saland (about 5 cups) with olive/flax oil and balsamic vinegar
8:30pm - 2 homemade oatmeal raisin cookie and a tall glass of milk
12:30am - 1/2 cup of cottage cheese

I had a craving for a treat and still had some oatmeal cookie dough in the fridge, so I made the rest last night. I've been eating well, so I didn't feel guilty about having a couple of cookies.

Was talking about the ACL surgery thing last night...and we came to the conclusion that postponing it until the the end of the summer/early fall would be a good idea (maybe like September'ish...). That way I can enjoy cycling this summer (not likely doing any races though :() and all the other stuff. I really don't want to be out of commission during my favorite part of the year! Also that gives me more time to lose as much weight as possible by the end of the summer and strengthen my knee as much as possible as well. I think its a good plan! :)

Well...I definitely can't add men to MY list...as you can appreciate...but it'll be on the ladies list...how about that?

you can let it go that long? wow that's great then - you must not be in muc pain 0- when I screwed up my knee - I could barely walk... enjoy the summer weather then :) and put it off as long as possible.. (just m ake sure you've got time to heal before the snows set in... crutches and ice don't mix well..

I'm sorry to hear about the surgery, hun. But it's great that you have a plan. I'm sure that makes it much less frustrating! And you'll still get to enjoy the beautiful summer. That's awesome.

All this coffee talk* is making me sick. I hate coffee more than most things. I can think of a few things I dislike more, but I won't say them for fear of offending people :) I hope my dislike of coffee doesn't make all you coffee fans hate me.
*I said "coffee talk". Anybody remember Coffee Talk from SNL? "Hi, welcome to Coffee Talk. I'm ya host, Linda Richman." LOVED IT! What's with me reminiscing about past shows recently??

That does sound like a good plan!
I'm glad to hear it can be postponed!

Thanks M...I think it'll work out best that way. It'll be very hard for me not to gain weight while I'm off my feet, but I'll do my best to be in as good of shape (and as lean) as I can be.

Let's see...that's 30lbs in about say 24 weeks to the end of September is about 1.2lbs per week. That's an attainable goal.

It's settled then...I'm going to lose 30lbs by the end of September!

I'm not in any pain...so everybody and their mother has been coming to the conclusion that my knee is fine...and they all said that when my hand was broken...I'm surrounded by experts that don't have a clue...(I'm referring to family and co-workers)

Walking isn't a problem...stationary bike is fine, physio exercises are fine...it was the odd time that I slipped on ice where I felt a lot of pain, but I've been pretty cautious and careful with it...
