I was ignoring the elephant in the room, which I thought was me.
That makes a lot of sense to me. It's always so encouraging and motivating to see the numbers going down!If I had gained weight I would not have got back on track. Seeing a loss spurred me on. Funny things, brains![]()
And you are not someone who needs to risk being in a crowd now, good decision.I wanted to march for BLM here, but decided against it only because I knew that being out in the cold night air would aggravate my Asthma & further compromise my lungs, which have been weakened by having Pneumonia twice.
I usually get stressed out trying, but these chairs were so simple to put together it was ridiculousI generally enjoy putting together furniture/fitness gear. Maybe because I rarely get the satisfaction that comes with building something.
Very true. It has been a while. That makes a lot of sense to me. It's always so encouraging and motivating to see the numbers going down!
Probably none of us should risk being in a crowd. I think I would be happy to never be in a crowd ever again. And you are not someone who needs to risk being in a crowd now, good decision.
I am with LaMa on the chairs, I enjoy building things. Have fun putting them together! And good to hear that you are getting back on track!
No shouting, Em. Just a quandary now on where I put everything. I decided to keep our 2 old recliners, so now we have 6 comfy lounge chairs & 2 others that will stay. It's the look I have to get right. We have to be able to see our birdbaths etc & my brain won't rest until it looks right. If R was here we would get it right quickly.Assembling furniture is something that I know will end up in shouting matches in my
future, lol. Best of luck with it Cate.

The old ones are ok to have as spares, but they crack & creak when they are reclined & they need some arm and head covers.
Or maybe just all the ones who become mothers just finally realize that they cannot stay focused on neatness while raising little munchkins who love to mess everything up. I've seen a few people give up their super neat and tidy tendencies once they had kidsThen again: if you're childless in a world which values women only as mothers and housewives it may not be strange to become a bit hyperfocused on neatness
I think sometimes its just a matter of what you are used to. My most comfortable chairs are my oldest ones. These days however no chair is as comfortable as it used to be, my backside padding is gone. Our new chairs are not as comfortable as our old.
