The joys of squatting... Also kettlebell swings! And bridging. And doggy leg-lifts. Sitting on a folded towel works too, of course, but glute exercises are awesome.
Yeah, rowing's a good glute exercise, too. I've tried many, with no apparent change, not even the sore muscles. I do use a folded towel for the longer slogs, that does make a difference.
Why don't you want to do the finger pricking LJ?
Remember the conversation about terrible insurance? Well, yeah, I don't want to spend the money for now. The RD said it was up to me at my low-levels, and since I'm not seeing any changes in how I feel based on food intake, I'm probably OK without it. I have a follow-up Dr. appt in a couple months, so I'll see how my numbers look then.
I'm 3.8 lbs down from last Thursday, which gets me back to the 2 lbs/week goal, though it's a somewhat inconsistent track (2.13 in bold is the average, then it's a per-week thing):

Anyway, as long as it's going the right way, right? Just shy of a 20 lb loss since I started in mid-August.
I lifted last night, though I cut it short since I started too late in the evening. I've been trying... negative loads? I forgot what it's called, but I basically do the "release" part of the lifting in slow motion - the lift is fast, but the release is slow. For example, I'll do pushups where I let myself down over a 5 second span. In two weeks, I see the difference, but I'm sure weak for the rest of the evening.
