Cate's Diary

That´s one disadvantage of golf: you get quite far away from the nearest toilet without entering terrain where... no-one would notice or care if you didn´t bother with one :p

We have a toilet up the back of the course luckily. I am SO not a going behind a bush person. :blush5:
July- started a new plan & it's day 1. I was still up after 12 last night(watching the final episode of "Follow The Money"), so I did my 20 squats :D
Having a fast day today(<500 cals)
Doing a tip run today :( Not much fun, but necessary when you live in the bush & don't get any services. We also do the golf club re-cycling. It is so wet outside, but it's sunny & hardly a cloud in the sky. I'm in my work gear & will look pretty scruffy. We had better head before it's Bingo time at the home. I would be embarrassed to be spotted by the well-dressed volunteers :blush5:
I feel much better being back on a set plan. I feel more focussed. I need some self-imposed discipline.
Anyhow, better scoot. Love to all, xoxo Cate

That's great that your schedule is working out well so far! :)

I can totally relate to dodging the volunteers. Every time I go out in public poorly dressed (think bright orange sweat pants and my hair looking like an ill-made wig) and then of course I inevitably run into 10 people I know haha.

I am so far removed from dressing in sartorial splendour, but my tip clothes are really not for general view apparently. I did change my daggy polar-fleece pants to my old jeans, just for G. I did forget that I had to pop into the supermarket & yes, I did see about 10 people I knew! :blush5: Oh, well. I just looked like the majority of the local population. All good. I got the job done & am back home & about to find a good book. FD soup of only 40 calories consumed, plus some strawberries & some watermelon. I'm not hungry & it's 3pm.

Very true LaMa :D
I have eaten my dinner & some fruit & I am currently ravenous. RAV_EN_OUS!!!
I have not added up my calories yet, but I hope I have room for something &that something has to include some protein!

You really should have protein even if you have to go over your calories a little, the last thing you want is a deficiency.

The bar is so low in east Texas that I'd have to go out in soiled undies to be substantially below the norm. Lots of dirty people in sleeveless camo or dingy pajamas. When they dress "fancy" the tendency is to look like a chandelier shot repeatedly with a paintball gun. All public seating made of wood is scratched up from the plethora of rhinestone-butted jeans.

I did Butterfly, but went over just a little. I'm retaining fluid I think because I did not lose any after a FD. I just realised I had run out of my BP meds the other day, but have been

Oh dear!
That is so funny! (& tragic)

Our son qualified top of the ladder in the state team qualifiers. I took the GK's in & we had a lovely time. We are all very proud of D. He will now represent his state at the national championships in October.

Congratulation D´s mom! That´s really awesome and I can see your GK´s being SO proud of their dad

Thanks LaMa. We are all very proud. He is such a lovely person- lovely dad, lovely son.
Something quite exciting is happening here in Australia. We have an awful government- very conservative, narrow-minded & they do not represent me or my beliefs. I detest them actually! We had a double dissolution & both the upper house & the lower house were dissolved & today we had an election for both houses. It is VERY close. The Australian Labour Party have had a major swing toward them & they have a fair chance of winning. It is very exciting! One day I hope we have a green government, but that is further down the track, There is a strong green movement in Tasmania.

Yay for progressive politics! Our hard-won election has been called into question... in some places (14, to be exact, out of the whole country) officials started the counting earlier than they should have. No evidence whatsoever that this influenced the results but it is illegal and therefore enough to actually force us all to repeat the ordeal :(

Thanks butterfly :)
Hi LaMa. It is VERY close & we are likely to have a hung parliament, with deals needing to be struck with minor parties, some of whom have some very progressive policies. I loathe our Liberal Government. They are anything but liberal. It will be interesting to see what happens.

My July plan is in my signature & I have been following it so far. I love doing squats! I do get stiff calf muscles & probably should be doing some sort of stretch to balance them out, but have no idea what. I'll look it up sometime. I can't be bothered counting calories on non-fast days so I think I'll get rid of that, though.
It's raining heavily & we are being a bit lazy, after sleeping in. Le Tour De France has started & we are having late nights. I usually can't last out until the end & go to bed about 12-12.30, but G watches & dozes until the end at about 1.30am.

Definitely do your stretches, Cate, no use getting burned out on those lovely squats because of cramping. Do you keep your heels on the floor while squatting?
