Cate's Diary

Glad to hear your arm is feeling better and that you can go back to playing golf :)

Great news about your son too :) xxx

A good night's sleep & feeling fine.
R, our younger son is coming up for a few days & will arrive this afternoon. He's not going back until Monday :)
I'm about to head to golf. If my arm is ok today I may play again on Sat. (R might play golf Sat.) He sounds fairly positive at the moment, which is great!
Did my 20 squats at 9.30 last night. Playing my 2nd round of golf this week.

:) Way to go Cate!

There is nothing like sleeping well and starting the day off right! ;)

Yesterday- My day was a bit weird really. I ended up feeling very much out of sorts- very crabby & very tired. Maybe I'm playing too much golf? We had to go to a meeting last night & I was grumpy & short-tempered. Even having R at home didn't cheer me up. He does seem pretty good, though, which is excellent. A job he had lined up in August has fallen through & I know he must be very disappointed, but he seems to be coping ok with it.
I just feel really tired & touchy today & am very achy. Maybe I'm coming down with something.

It's annoying when those days 'attack' us out of nowhere!

Sending you lots of love and positive energy!! Hope you get to feel like yourself again soon! xxx

Thanks Delsid & LaMa. I got better as the day went on today. G, R & I went to visit Mum & went out for 9 holes of golf. I was just going to walk with them, but played about 7 holes. Exercise in fresh air almost always makes you feel better. D & the grand-kids are arriving soon for dinner. We will be opening a magnum of bubbly very soon

Agree LaMa Just what a smart Doctor should order. Very special time
?? :D I suppose I am really. I do love golf!
Just did my 20 squats while waiting for the kettle to boil

Good use of time! :)

So happy to hear that you have something in your life (golf) that brings you cheer, exercise, enjoying the outdoors and a special talent/skill.

 You Go Girl! :D

I love golf Stacy, but the "special talent/skill" almost had me choking on my coffee. :smilielol5: I wish! It's great exercise & the worse you are, the more exercise you get.
Off to do a function today at the club. The numbers keep dwindling & I fear it's going to be a long & boring day. I have decided to fast today.

Hope it's busy so you don't have time to notice the hunger!

Love the idea of doing squats whilst waiting around. Gonna try that!

Hi Stacy & Delsid. I got through the day quite easily really, considering I had to put up with smelling cooked onions for most of the day. I just had
"dinner" at 5pm. I think I have only had about 200 cals, but feel very full.
The people were really good to deal with today & we actually had a good day. They are talking about making it an annual event. It was a fundraiser for a group who work with kids at risk, so was a very good cause.
I did lots of cleaning & sorting. I also did some work in the kitchen, but will keep quiet about that, as I don't want the women expecting me to keep doing it.
It has been raining steadily all afternoon & I don't think I'll play tomorrow. My arm just a little today, so a day's rest won't go astray. I'll go in for the day though, visit Mum, etc.
Delsid- squats are great as they can be done almost anywhere.

Yay for "easy" fast days! I love the smell of onions in butter, not eating anything with that in my nostrils would be torture

Thanks LaMa, Butterfly & Stacy. We had a lovely rain(25mm or 1") & everything seems fresh & green already. I'm glad I decided not to play golf as it would be a bit unpleasant & I'm a bit of a sook. R hasn't woken yet & G has gone off to golf. I'll drive R out if he wants to play as he can use my clubs. He played with them the other day & liked them. They were G's old ones. I am going to buy some new ones soon as these are steel & I think it's time I got some lighter weight ones(graphite), so they jar less. It will be good to know that someone will actually use this set.

Weighed exactly the same as I did at the start of April. Played 43 holes of golf this week, phoned my sister (does that count? :D ) Have not done my squats yet, but will soon. Not a bad month really. I'll work on that kilo in May :D

How long would it take you to get used to a new, lighter set of clubs? Just curious how hard it is to adjust your motor skills. Rain can be annoying, but really I love the lushness it brings. I could never live in an arid region, as much as I love succulents.

I started off with graphite clubs, but they were s cheap, beginners, ladies set & were too short. G's clubs are perfect for me & I will most probably get a similar set.
It is now absolutely bucketing down with rain & they have put out flood warnings! Crazy!
