Thank you tete, Delsid & LaMa :grouphug: I feel really well at the moment & life is good. I'm enjoying the buzz & the love in the forum at the moment. Hi Delsid, LaMa, LJ & Jen. You're right. Living in the moment is very difficult. I try though.
Travel is so good for you. LJ, that sucks about your Dad. I hope his treatment goes very well & they get to travel outside the US.
OK- here's am exercise, for anyone who wants to participate. Where in the world would you go, if you had the choice?
I'm tossing up between(in no particular order)-
Canada (incl. B.C. as I have a niece there) & Alaska.
Africa.
Sri Lanka.
UK
US (incl. NYC)
Italy again as I loved it so much!
Greece, but especially the Greek Islands.(G has been but I haven't)

I've never been one to have a big desire for travel, but I've ALWAYS wanted to go to Greece, more specifically Athens. I'm a HUGE nerd for Greek Mythology and Athena has always been my favorite. I'd love to see the Temple of Athena (obviously), Mount Lycabettus, Agora, The Parthenon, The Temple of Zeus, ooooooh so many things.

I'll type in my diary first this morning as I have to leave early. G is competing in the State 8-Ball Team try-outs & this the 1st weekend of 3. I will be home late tonight & in there all day tomorrow too. I have had really good readings from my last blood test which I'll share on Monday.

Hi chef, Delsid, LaMa & Miss Fit. It sounds like Greece is on most people's bucket list :D The only thing that puts me off going to Greece is the refugee crisis. I get so teary & emotional seeing refugee camps being destroyed, boats turning over, children drowning & the whole sorry state of the crisis. I feel utter shame at Australia's terrible attitude. Utter_shame! I don't know how I would cope with seeing it first hand.
G is doing quite well at the 8-ball. Our older son D is doing very well. It was a long day yesterday & we are about to head off again soon. I love catching up with our 8-ball "family"
Better scoot & have a quick look. It's good now as I can stay logged in my phone to the forum. It didn't work with Google, but it does with Safari.

Had an enjoyable weekend at the 8-ball(pool) State try-outs & G (my husband) & D (our older son) both played very well. D should make the state team & G won more than he lost & is about mid-field. I ate Thai on Sat lunch, Chinese Sat night(small meal only) & Thai again yesterday so am looking forward to fasting tomorrow. It has been cold & there was a big frost this morning. We didn't get to sleep in as our little dog was complaining. She was hungry too!
We have a home day today :D

Q- They are my equivalent of your run streak I think. My stomach is saying- "Too much food. Gimme a break!"
Miss Fit- It has been lovely thanks :)

I haven't been totally lazy today. I have done 25 squats & about an hours gardening. I made some protein balls, which I'm not entirely happy with. I'm not confident with "cooking". I'll go look up some more recipes I think & experiment a bit more. I want to make a nice GF cracker. I prefer savoury to sweet. I don't have protein powder & don't want to buy any. I think I should be able to use nuts instead & almond meal. I'll go look up some more recipes. This is when I wish Lucy was back! I might go to her diary & give her a cooee!

Squats are good Jen as you can fit them anywhere into your day. Maybe while doing the laundry ;) I'll get around to trying to make some gf crackers. The ones you buy are either way too salty or like cardboard & have no substance. I want seeds & nuts & flavour, without all the sodium. I'll get there.

FD today & my stomach is thanking me already. I'm still full from last night's dinner! I think I will wait until we get home about 4'ish before I eat anything at all. I will go make myself a thermos of peppermint tea soon as it's fairly cold. Just looked and it got to -1C & is only getting to 12..... Cool.

Time to go waste a little time on FB ..............xoxo
 
Delsid- I saw someone on TV last week suggesting that. I end up with toothpaste on my face already & would hate to think where it mind end up if I tried doing squats at the same time! :D
Thanks LaMa. I do love lentils, but I would have to blitz whole ones, rather than buy lentil flour. I have so much "healthy" stuff in my pantry(just bought a heap more today :blush5:) that I don't think I had better buy yet another flour. G might trade me in on a cheaper model!
I do get really tired half with through the afternoon on my fast days & may not do a second one on Thursday this week. I'll see how I wake up on Thursday. I'll be playing golf tomorrow & expending all that energy. I'll see. I am incredibly hungry right now, but it's 5.05pm & I have not eaten a skerrick today. We are about to have a Scotch Fillet steak, with baked veggies & a wet veg dish(like Ratatouille.) D is coming for dinner before 8-ball. I'm staying at home. It's cold & I don't want to go to a pub & not drink wine.
I'll pop back later I reckon.
 
LJ- I do think I need to go back to doing what I did when I 1st started doing 5:2 & make 2 meals up & then split them into 2 & have half for lunch & half for dinner. Konjac noodles with some sort of low-calorie veggie sauce with a hard-boiled egg is really good. I think trying to wait until dinner is too hard, especially in Winter. I think I am eating too much at night by waiting so long.
Jen- Dinner was scrumptious.

I weighed this morning & am up 2kg :eek: That's after a 500 cal fast. I'm fairly sure my weekends eating(& making & sampling protein balls) just caught up with me. There goes my decision to only have one fast day this week. I'll do tomorrow as well! I'm about to head off to play golf. I won't take a toasted sandwich today. I have 2 bananas & 2 protein balls. We are having braised lamb chops, baked veg & spinach this evening.

PS It is still LJ's birthday in the US & it was Stacy's on the 28th. I'm sorry I missed Stacy's :( but I just caught LJ's :) Phew for time differences!
