Cate's Diary

Thanks, Cory & Amy. It was really lovely.
I decided to fast again today as I woke up not hungry & it will make it easier later in the week.
I also ate a few more sweet treats than I would normally eat, after golf. They didn't have much GF food(nothing savoury at all), but they did have a small dark choc/white choc/peanut butter slice, which I had too much of. I probably had the equivalent of what would be one piece, maybe 1.25, but still- it was very calorie dense I expect.
A bit of a lazy day coming up hopefully. I haven't done my squats yet, but will soon. I'm still in my dressing gown.
Love to all, xoxo

Lazy days are good days, as long as you take full advantage of that carefree feeling! I hope it was a great easy day of living for you :)

s long as you take full advantage of that carefree feeling
So true! I find that quite difficult at times! Gotta learn to switch off better.

Long relaxed mornings are the best. The perspective of a whole day has something really encouraging to it.

Enjoy your day, Cate!

Hi Oaks & Delsis-I am having a lovely, positive & relaxing day. I have done 50 squats all up, had a 100 cal lunch & am looking forward to my grilled salmon & vegetable dinner. Can you hear my stomach rumbling?
We have a golf club committee meeting tonight zzzz but I comfort myself with the knowledge that this will my 7th last one :D

20g of beef jerky, 1 small cucumber, 1 small carrot, 5 snow peas & half a stick of celery- not much!! I'm ravenous

I had dinner at 5pm :blush5: Luckily G was hungry too! Grilled Salmon with vegetables.
Hurry up breakfast!

Nothing wrong with early dinners as long as they doesn't lead to late night snacking. Which, in your case, they won't. I'm preposterously excited about the thought of earlier di ners now that I'm going to work less hours :D
O and I love the goal of calling old friends more often.

Thanks, LaMa. I had some greek yoghurt with fresh mango when we got back from the GC meeting(only 6 to go :D) & stayed within my 500 cals- just.
Your working fewer hours is a very good thing!
Calling old friends is very rewarding. Everyone is too busy these days, but it doesn't take much effort. The longer you leave it, the harder it gets. I have some lovely friends who I rarely see. The friend I rang the other day we are going to visit on Thursday. She can't drive far anymore as she had a stroke last year.

Week 1- WI 1-Weight- still on the cusp! (Grrrr. I'll get there!) 45 squats, FD 1 completed, 1 game of golf played already. :D

I rang another old friend today & had a lovely chat. That's it. We are going to Canada next year. She is going this August on the exact same tour I had picked out as a possibility. Can I wait 16 months?

The old friend we played golf with on Sunday told us that one of our mutual friends, T, who we knew was unwell, was on his last legs, in his opinion. We were going to visit him in hospital on Thursday. Another friend rang us today to let us know that he heard that T had died. So sad. He just turned 62. He was one of the loveliest people you would ever meet. He was morbidly obese. He once was a very fit athlete, but he used to drink beer like it was going out of fashion, over-ate.....I think we all know the story..We must make sure that this is not our story!
We were meant to look after the GK's all day Friday & also had a commitment to go out to the GC in the afternoon(G was going to go on his own), but have organised to get someone else to do the bar, our son, D, will get off work early & we will go. This is one funeral we cannot miss.
This funeral is going to be huge. T was a sports writer for a newspaper & I cannot imagine anyone not liking him. He was a larger than life character, in more ways than one, & just plain lovely.

I had a lovely day today. Life is like that. I caught up with some lovely people, ate well, resisted temptation, had a lovely time with Mum & am currently drinking Henkell Trocken with my lovely husband.
Life is mostly good.
Love to all, xoxo Cate

Had a rough night's sleep. I had chest pain & Asthma. I'm not going to golf today. G just lit the fire & I'll just take it easy.
Weight same, no squats yet, golf-1 game played already, 1 old friend rung this week.

Thanks LaMa. I think I fell asleep about 3 times during the day. I'll do my today's squats tomorrow. I could very easily fall asleep right now, but don't want to risk another bad night's sleep. I don't have any chest pains tonight & have re-scheduled some appointment's so that we can have tomorrow at home again.

Wed squats 20(before I went to bed)
I had a really good night's sleep (didn't wake once) & feel much better this morning. I have decided to do my 2nd "fast" today, as we have T's funeral tomorrow. Mon & Thu suits me best anyway.
We are going to G's brother's house today to buy some more things for R, our younger son. R was about to buy a couple more heaters & now needs DB bedding for his new housemate. He was given a DB.
I will have another fairly quiet day today & chill. We'll visit Mum.

Thurs squats- 35 already today, played 18 holes golf, old friends rung x 3, weighed once.
