Cate's Diary

I would run through 4G so quickly! It's great when you see the results of exercise in your every day life. Glad to hear they're proving their worth!

Cate, glad to hear you had fun golfing. I've never particularly enjoyed golf, but I always like to read your posts about it because I like to hear about people doing things they love. Sorry to hear about the issues you've been having with osteo and I hope things shape up with G. :/

Hi Oaks. I know! 4G is hopeless. I have 6G on my phone. I think the squats are really doing me a lot of good.
Hi Cory. I do love golf. I actually played again today! We were going to run the 9-hole chicken run next week & got asked to swap & do it tonight instead. We got everything done in town early & came back & played & I won a chook. I got 21 Stableford points for my 9 holes & played well. I am feeling fairly fit.
G is going to have a biopsy, but I am not worried about it. We both think he is fine.
We have not been home long & it's almost 10pm. The golfers who play in the chicken run are a good, sociable & pleasant lot. We'll play in more of them next Summer when we don't have our commitments.

Feeling really good this morning, after playing golf 2 days in a row. Exercise is so good for your mood. We also had a positive day. We got everything on our list including a special deal on my favourite bubbly(usually $20 a bottle, but on special 4 for $59 with a free Magnum ?).
I have wanted to get a good Mandoline for a while, to make veggie spaghetti etc, said we did. We also had a nice lunch at a gluten-free restaurant. I had fish & chips( a rare treat) & a garden salad.
Weight 82.5, sq 20, MFP, 27 holes of golf this week. Fast tomorrow.

It's a good thing my kitchen is tiny, or I would spend all my money and mind-space on cooking utensils! I hope your bones feel better soon and I'm glad G is getting extra check-ups if the doctor orders them. Sometimes it's too easy to close your eyes and "forget". All the hugs, dear Cate!

Thank you LaMa. I'm dying to try out the mandoline. I'm not much into gadgets & we made sure we got a good one. I hate rubbishy utensils. Having a catering business for so long spoils you like that. The colder weather is making me ache, but that's just too bad. I'm back to taking Panadol Osteo 3 times a day for Winter I think. I know it could be much worse. The hugs were lovely thank you xo

I'm "fasting" today. I decided to try something different & have had a small chia pudding for breakfast(150 cals), instead of waiting until about 2pm to eat anything. I didn't much like it. It was a bought one, but sounded very healthy.

Weight this morning 82, 40 squats, logged into MFP. played 27 holes of golf this week :D I/m playing again on Mon & Wed next week & maybe 9holes on Thursday, depending on whether we get the GK's off the bus. Am I going to see the 70"s? Hmmm...........

Fast days do not get any easier! It's 9.40pm & I am ravenous! I'm having a re-think about 5:2 on the 1st of April

Thank Alex. I'm well. It was just hunger.

Got through until bedtime without eating anything else, but it was a struggle. We are going to help my BIL & SIL sort out the contents of their house this morning, in readiness for a garage sale. They have moved into a furnished unit. I called in to see them yesterday & they were in a bit of a muddle. When I offered my help they jumped at it.
I don't mind & G didn't mind either luckily.
Weight 80(still not seeing the 70's) 20 sq, MFP, played 27 holes golf this week. I so want to be back in the 70's!!!

Had a good day. Helped out for a few hours- got the job done. Bought some good stuff cheaply( had to really insist upon paying!) & got shouted lunch. Am back home having a bubbly

Hi Delsid. I waited until everything was priced as I would have been embarrassed if I had bought anything too cheaply. I had to be careful though as they tried giving me stuff all the time. I waited until we were done, they offered to take us to lunch & then I bought some stuff. I insisted on giving my BIL $50 & when they argued I said we'd go straight home. He accepted the 5o & we went to lunch & had a pleasant time. :) It was a nice day & I'm pleased we were able to help out.

Did an extra 20 squats in the afternoon. I am feeling very fit & feel much slimmer.
Weight 81, 20 sq, MFP, playing golf again today, so that will my 1st 18 holes for this week, with a 2nd planned for Wed & possibly another chicken run(9 holes) on Thursday. It's the last one until the end of the year as daylight savings ends this Sat

I hope your joints start feeling better. My dad struggles with arthritis, so I've seen how hard it can be.

Thanks Cory. It won't get better, but hey, it could be much worse!
I played another 18 holes of golf & had a lovely day. We played with 2 very good golfers( father & son) & they were lovely company. I was runner-up in division 2 on a count back, with 38 Stableford points( with 3 misses ). A good day ?

Thanks Delsid :D
I'm glad I played golf yesterday. I'm "fasting" today & hoping to see the 70's tomorrow. Will be back later to complete my diary & check up on the others, xo

Not in the 70's :( Boo!
Woke at 4am & couldn't get back to sleep, so did 40 squats about 5am & some Tai Chi. My playing partner is really sick, so I'm not playing golf today. I have lots of paperwork to do, including re-doing a constitution & by-laws for an eightball association & a financial report for the vets golfers. ( :( )

Good news- our son has 2 tenants for his house, which will cover all of his mortgage. One will only be there every couple of weeks for 4 days, which will be good.
It means we won't have a room to stay in when we go down to visit, but that is the least of my worries. I would much rather he was less stressed. I hope they work out. He also has some exciting job possibilities & is feeling positive & motivated.

I'm a bit disappointed on not being that 1/2 a kilo less, but I am now thinking of an April plan. It worked being so focussed. I think I'll stick with doing squats every morning though, but not so sure about 5:2. It's either that or being strict 7 days a week for a month unless I come up with something different. I think 5:2 might be easier.....

Glad to hear things are looking up for your son; whatever reduces stress for him will be good for you, too. Too bad about the half-kilo but it´ll go when it´s time.
