From alpha testing to the QUERCUS 200

I feel less like livestock now K&D!

It's sad isn't it Polly? November 28, 2015 the last drink ever for Quercus. It was a new varietal red wine from Argentina that I have forgotten the name of, but didn't care for. :( If I'd known it would be my last I would have gone with a nice Mendoza Malbec.

I'll try to incorporate some of that positivity whilst eating my lunch of Kale and oatmeal LaMa.

No vinegar  I can't get my head around that one. My sister can't have vinegar either. Her allergy list is a mile long. Glad you're feeling a lot better already Q xoxo

The old joke is "I'm allergic to alcohol; if I have some, I break out in handcuffs." But it appears you really are allergic to the stuff. Hmm.

Well at least now you know. Kale and oatmeal. Kale? There's a bartender around here with that name (I think with a 'c' though). Somehow it makes me less likely to eat it...

Bow to my creepy hacking skills! I wouldn't eat him either. Cale Green? Really? Kiss my ass Cale's parents. He used to bartend in Seattle or there are two bartenders named Cale. I hope for the sake of mankind it's the former.

Ha, I break out in handcuffs.

Quercus, my good man. Look at it this way - alcohol slows your metabolism, so maybe now that you know you can't have any, your metabolism will get a nice little boost. I don't know if that's how it works. I'm not a scientist. But, it sounds good, right? Right.

Cate the fact that the no beer and wine is what is really upsetting to me makes me think it's a great thing.

Added quinoa, red potatoes, and medjool dates to the list tonight. The date was waiting on everything to cook. 1.1 miles run tonight as the knee started bothering me during the run. I stretched and did lunging stretches and it felt better so I burned of the date sugar by dancing spastically in the kitchen to The Cure while my taters boiled. It has been too long since I've felt this good. Also I forgot how much I love The Cure. *Puts on eyeliner :flame:

You're right Chef and I wasn't drinking because of that, but not drinking and not ever being able to drink are very different things.

Potatoes! If potatoes can be had, all is (almost) well. (Having potatoes with green salad and a boiled egg for breakfast, fuck histamine.) Also quinoa of course, and dancing :D

It has been too long since I've felt this good.
.....but, it's SOO good that you did! Dancing is wonderful ....potatoes I can take or leave, and you are right about the alcohol. Choosing to do something or not, is totally different to not being able to! We have a young friend called Cale. He's an awesome 8-ball & Snooker player.

Nice to see the grocery list expanding by leaps and bounds but sorry to hear about being forced to drop alcohol. Did the immunologist mention whether eating any yeast/sugar combos are going to be something to watch out for? No idea if it's even possible to brew your own internally.

Amazing job keeping the run streak going and having the energy to dance it up to The Cure. It's a day early here but I'm heading to youtube for Friday, I'm in love to get my Thursday on...

I've been known to do a little spastic dancing in the kitchen. (I should probably get curtains for the window in there). Your positive energy is contagious and if I wasn't currently enjoying my time on public transportation I might put on some fun music and jam out in your honor.

Thanks everybody! It's nice to have some positivity to share for a change. In happy to report that I feel even better today. I have been covertly listening to the Cure again this morning (work doesn't allow it.

K&D, on one of their live albums he says something like, 'Well it's the wrong day but screw it' as his Friday I'm in Love intro. I have most (all?) of their albums on shuffle which is a cool way to sample all the dark and pop variations of their sound. It really fits my mood at the moment.

Covert music makes it that much better. Check out Crystal Castles feat. Robert Smith if you haven't caught it already.
May not be to everyone's taste but a great take on an old Platinum Blonde hit.

Good to see that grocery list getting longer. Have you tried the Irish mixed grill?Boiled potatoes, mashed potatoes and fries.

I'll check it out K&D.
Polly I'm not quite to that level, but I have been thinking about fries today.

I ate something without testing all of the ingredients and had a reaction. I had to take prednisone, but the silver lining is that it made my knee feel better. Apparently I've decided to be allergic to every damn thing on the planet.

253.4 this morning and the prednisone is making me hungry which is helpful since food tries to murder me. If it was possible to quit eating and live I'd do that. Sorry WLF, but my ray of sunshine has turned into a bad sunburn in a delicate area. When a doctor tells you to try out every food before you reintroduce it into your diet DO IT! Even if you already figured out another allergen you should realize that your body has turned against you and is fighting your choice to be healthy by making even a whole foods plant based diet a minefield of misery. F@%K YOU BODY!

I love The Cure. However, ever since The Wedding Singer came out, every single time I hear someone say "The Cure," I can't help but think of this scene...

"Ok, I justed want to warn you that, uh, when I wrote this song I was listening to The Cure a lot..."

O... all the grawlix, Q! Honestly: you can´t be developing actual new allergies at this rate, some of them must be a-specific reactions from an overloaded system. Right? Whatever it is, I hope the doc comes up with alternatives that won´t try and kill you.

My current theme song Chef!

I don't know what's happening LaMa. Nobody seems to have a clue either. They are just testing for common allergens. My other bloodwork was all good news, but obviously that's not the whole story. I made a giant vat of oats, quinoa, and millet to eat with my pressure cooked beans. That with fresh fruits and vegetables will be the fuel that keeps me alive.
