Wishful Shrinking

Well......It has been another bad weekend!! I'm not sure if I gained weight for some minimal cheating I did involving a little bit of chocolate and a turkey sub from subway or if the weight lifting is also to blame. Either way, it's the day before Valentine's day and my breakfast in bed went over really well with the hubby! I made Jenny-O turkey sausage with agave nectar (instead of honey), chocolate chip heart-shaped pancakes, strawberries and whipped cream, and a cafe mocha! He loooved it! I had a little bit of the pancake and some sausage but that's as far as the cheating went today. I'm getting right back on the wagon and I'm going to lose the little bit of weight I gained.

For now, I'm going to leave you with an image that will make you gain weight by simply looking at it!

I bought the cutest pancake mold from amazon. Unfortunately my pan wasnt flat so it wouldn't work the way it's supposed to. Instead I used it as you would use a cookie cutter. I was pretty pleased with the results! :)

Too cute!! I love them!

You're doing great kaylee! Keep up the great work! Every time I see your weight loss, I am inspired!!!

So I figured it was time to update since I haven't written since Valentine's day. Over the V-day weekend I literally gained 5 lbs. I wasn't working out and I cheated a little bit. So this week I worked my ass off and now I'm finally back down to where I was before I cheated. I let myself fall off the wagon briefly but I've gotten back on and it's great! This means that I've still only lost 27 lbs total but that's pretty damn good for less than two months nonetheless. So that's my only news at the moment. The hubby and I are trying to redecorate the living room and we've found a gorgeous sectional. Today we'll be heading back to the store to see if we can get financed for it! I can't wait! Hope everyone has a great day!

I've been dieting for nearly 2 months now and it's getting pretty monotonous. I've been trying to experiment with some new recipes and I've found some really great ones so far. It's hard to find recipes that fit the 17 day diet but with some minor adjustments I've been able to come up with a few new ones for chicken. It's been a difficult road thus far. I've been up and down in my weight but I still somehow managed to lose almost 30lbs. The hardest part has been the workouts. I went an entire week without stepping on the treadmill or lifting a weight or even doing some wii fit. I gained 5 lbs and it was truly devastating. I knew this wasn't going to be easy and I feel great about everything I've accomplished thus far. I've had a few new developments in my life recently and I'm so much happier lately.

I'm not sure if I mentioned that I have a weird sleep cycle. Well, no longer. I'm finally on a normal schedule and I've been so much more productive as of late. I get to sleep around 9pm-11pm and wake up around 7am-9am. It feels fantastic to finally be well rested! The only downside is that I don't see my husband when he gets home from work but sometime around 3-4am he snuggles up in bed until I get up. Our house used to literally be a disaster. I hardly ever did laundry and I definitely never washed the dishes. With my newfound motivation, the house has been spotless for an entire week. The sink never gets filled with dishes anymore and we only have 3 loads of laundry left until we're all caught up. I've worked out every day for the past 3 days and I've lost all the weight I gained and then some. So I couldn't be happier.

Because I'm not awake earlier, I get to eat more fruit which is great. I'm sure my husband is also thrilled since I'm now awake early enough to cook him dinner for work. It's a win-win situation really.

So to conclude, I'm a happy girl and I can't help but smile! I hope it lasts this time and I hope to see a lot more progress in the next few days! Hopefully I can lose another 20-25lbs before I take my trip back to Canada to visit my mom on March 31st. I can't wait! The countdown begins!

Hi,

I haven't read much of your diary apart from your last post but I just wanted to say how much of a happy read that was - it put a smile on my face to see someone who has achieved sooo much out changing their diet/lifestyle.
It was quite inspirational to read it and I hope that one day I'll be in a position to post something so good on my diary.

You have done fantastically - i hope you reach your goal before visiting you mom and have a wonderful trip when you visit her xx

this is my first time dropping by, and i must say that i timed it very well. haha this single post alone has kind of informed me of how you have been feeling the last bit. lol its awesome that you have lost the weight that you gained in a set-back! and being happy is what this whole thing is about. if losing weight makes you miserable, it may not be worth it. but clearly it is working for you. congrats :) i'll pop by again soon.

KAYLEE!!! OMG! That's fantastic!! -30lbs is a great achievement! And it's wonderful that you're back into your routine and are so happy! It's amazing how exercising and diet can change how you feel throughout many aspects of your life!

It's great to hear that you're happy and doing the things that you've wanted to do! Weight loss is much more than getting your body thinner- it's a process that touches so many aspects of your life! Congrats on being happy, well rested, filled with fruit, and a cleaning fantastica!

Congrats again on your loss! You're doing great- and it spurs people like me to reach the goals that you've reached :)

Thanks hun! That means a lot! It's been a tough month so I need all the support I can get! You've been doing an incredibly job yourself so keep it up! :)

This morning I weighed in and I was anxious to see if I actually broke the 30 lb more since I was about 0.6 lbs away yesterday. I got on the scale and I was incredibly anxious. When I finally saw the number drop my jaw went with it. I lost 2.4lbs since yesterday. I'm now 3.8lbs away from my goal for the month of February. I'm thinking positive and I keep telling myself that I can definitely lose weight by Tuesday. My only setback is that I'm usually pretty awful on weekends so I'm going to push myself extra hard and make sure I don't jump off the wagon again. It also means that I'm about 18.8 lbs away from my goal for March 31st as well. I think that's pretty doable considering the numbers I've been seeing today. I guess my intervals on the treadmill last night did wonders! Anyway, hope you all have an amazing day! I know I will!

OMG! Another 2.4lbs? That's fantastic!!

You are working so hard, and are so dedicated to reaching your goal- and look how it has paid off! It lets me know that my hard work will totally be worth it!! :)

Soooooo- what'cha gunna do to celebrate reaching your goal!?! By the rate you're going, you're going to surpass it :) :)

*hugs* I hope you have a fantastic weekend! You always amaze me at how determined and focused you are! Great work!!!!!! And I can't wait to see you reach your goal :)
