Sunday:
Breakfast – Medium coffee with milk, ½ cup grape nuts with 1/3 cup 1% milk
Lunch – 1 can tuna, 1 tbsp each of light miracle whip and relish, with two servings of crackers
Snacks – 1 slim jim
Dinner – 5.35 oz of stuffed quahogs (3 half shells), and 4.55 oz of sausage and peppers, with 3 oz of Kahlua trifle cake for dessert
Exercise – 50 minutes on the treadmill, 4.21 miles in all. Then did ten minutes of random exercises (pushups, lunges, wall sits, etc). Going to start out easy, see if anything hurts tomorrow, and go from there.
I am NOT waiting until New Years to start getting back into the swing of things! I am starting NOW! Today I made sure I ate three meals (because that is something I am terrible about on weekends) and I got to the gym. We got sent home yesterday with Christmas leftovers, nothing healthy of course, but I am just going to eat it in moderation. Unfortunately, I have no idea what serving sizes are for stuffed quahogs or for chopped up sausage and peppers. But I know I didn’t go overboard, mostly because I know how much I would have eaten last year. And I didn’t come close to that.
Next week through January 14th or so we have lunch brought in every day at work, since it’s our busy season. That will make the healthy eating tougher, but again, it’s all about moderation. I am going to make myself a list of “Lifestyle Changes for 2011” soon. I’ll post that when I’ve got it ready, but I know that one of my points will be about work lunches.
I am incredibly tired tonight… we brought our diabetic cat home last night and despite the fact that she does not get fed before 6 am, she got right back into her old routine of waking me up at 4:45. And we have to feed her on a set schedule, so she was being annoying until about 6, about fifteen minutes before we fed her. Then we have to make sure she eats enough before we can give her the shot, meaning we didn’t get back to sleep until maybe 7. This is our new life.
But, on the plus side, we are in the midst of a blizzard and I don't have to work tomorrow! YAY!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
wow congrats on finishing grad!!! YAAAYYY!!!

Does this mean you now need to grow up and be serious? :O lol
I was only in school part-time (which is why it took me three years!) so I had to grow up and be serious a long time ago (unfortunately, haha).
Hey Laura!!
Thought I'd check out your diary after you dropped in on mine... I read the whole thing!! Took me a couple hours but I got there, inspiring stuff

Glad to hear you like running so much! I'm waiting for my ankle to heal to get back into it... I actually thought it was a lot better and then today I accidentally turned it in on a funny angle, and it HURT... now it's all blue again grr. Lol I miss running, walking is so boring now!!
Ah jealous, you're so close to your goal! Keep up the awesome work, will be checking back
Wow, the whole thing… you must have been bored

Ugh, that must stink not to be able to run! My five minute walking I do for warm-up is the worst part of my workout, I always just want to run. Hope it gets better quickly!!
It's hard to stay away from the holiday treats at this time of the year! I'm having that problem too!
Just try to keep it in moderation, and look forward to the fact that next month everyone will be in New Years Resolution healthy eating/weight loss mode and there will be much less temptation!
I’m going to try and beat the curve and start my “New Year” today! Too bad we have so many leftovers!
