yeah, I shoulda mentioned that. I tend to have a banana, apple, packet of oatmeal..something like that, with my shakes. If you track where your calories come from, and find a shortage of fat in your diet (no really, this is easy to do if you do a lot of protein shakes and clean eating), you can add natural peanut butter to a shake, or some flaxseed oil. they contain Essential Fatty Acids, and will slow the digestion of the protein...handy if you only have fast digesting whey protein.
