so how is everyone copy with weight loss after xmas? my small gain after xmas has spurred me on to do good this year so far things has been slow in two weeks only 21/2 pounds off. possible due to lack of exercise as with the british winter its hard to get motivated. been out for the odd walk but nothing much to get the heart rate pumping.

Great thread idea guys!

I already lost half of my weight, was 5'6 and a half-ish, weighing 179lbs and am now ~154lbs = 25lbs gone for good! Could have used this site before. Still a lot more togo though!

I'm looking to lose 15lbs-20 more and tone the rest :)

Do you have a gym? In the past I always used bad weather as an excuse to sit at home and eat junk food but then summer rolls around and I find myself hating every single thing I try. This year won't be the same and it's my motivational factor. Find a gym close to you and get rid of the weather as a problem. :) But congrats on the weight loss! Still better than nothing.

I have been absent from this site for a while...my last weigh in on here was @ 250lbs...I've been keeping my calories under 2000 daily and also added in 45mins of exercise 5 times a week...my weight loss isn't huge, but my clothes are loose on me so I feel like I am making great progress...I'm now down to 235.2lbs and I'm pretty happy about it, I have a goal of losing 50lbs by my birthday at the end of August...so I think if I stick with what I have been doing, I shouldn't have any problem making that goal...and that would put my BMI around 25!!

2012 is my year of change, is it yours?

Later.

Hey All

welcome to all the new members ...

I am so sorry that I have been away from this forum. Lot has been happening. I moved to a new city and I have been bad with my diet. So I learnt my lesson and I have put on 7 pounds :-( The 7 pounds I took over 2 months to lose. Its back now. Well I have been eating like crazy too. It was like something got into me to eat eat and eat. I was hungry and not exercising and well the holidays didn't help either.

Anyways I am back and I want to be held accountable for my weightloss. Hope this post becomes active like before and yes monday is the weigh in day and 3-4 pounds a week is the goal we will try to achieve...

Regards,

Dee

Hey guys, got room for one more? I'm new here and I have at least 50 pounds to lose. I'm pumped and ready to do this. So Monday is weigh in and 3 to 4 pounds a week. Sounds good to me. Good night all.

Hey everyone~

My name is Jamie and I'm new to the forum. I just joined a gym this past Friday. I've been back once to walk for 30mins. I'm starting off very slow. It's been a few years since I worked out last. I'm not completely stationary, but have done way less after having a tot. My goal is to loose weight and get into shape. I'm currently 17lbs bigger than pre-baby, weighting in at 173(per the gym scale yesterday). My smallest weight was 145lbs. I'm starting off with small goals! For the month of March I will be happy if I can loose 8lbs, I feel like that is reasonable. Right?!?!?!?! So here goes my journey. Hope to make some friends along the way. Good luck and God Bless!!!

Monday morning is here again. Down 1.5 pounds. Just watching my wieght. Going to start walking today for 30 mins. Hopefully it should help

My last weigh in had me down 5lbs...so I'm now sitting at 230.2lbs...I'm happy with the progress, but still have a long way to go...goal of 185lbs by end of August...so over 45lbs in 6 months (26 weeks) doesn't sound like much, but the last few pounds always take the longest...so it's harder than one might think. I'll probably lose 30 of those lbs by the end of May, then struggle with the last 15lbs...but the diet that I have adopted is a maintenance diet for 185lbs, so I will eventually get there...it may just take more time than this summer has to offer...it took me over 20yrs to put this weight on, so why would I think it would come off in a few months...

Good Luck everyone!!

Hey hey hey, guess what? I somehow got bored with my routine. I would like to share that aside from diet, I shifted a bit from my daily jog and biking into something not really new. Table tennis daily has helped me loss weight! Wow, I sweat a lot than my old routine...trying to get into lawn tennis. Just sharing :) Hope this encourages some too.

I am on day 2 of my second 90 day challenge could definitely use some support and talk to other people who are trying to achieve the same thing. I will be 40 in August and my goal of Fab at 40

is right around the corner i want to be at 128-136lbs at that time and a healthy wife, mother and nana that can enjoy life not just exist like i have been.

AI am just starting my LONG journey. I could use a weightloss pal. I and 6ft, 260 lbs. need to get down to 180.

Hi styxdeb....

Been where you were, still there in fact. My goal for the past few years has been to lose over a hundred pounds. I always start off good, get off track and then I'm back to square one again. I know how difficult it is, how exhilariting it is, how frustrating it is, how rewarding it is, also how shameful it is. Those and alot of others were the emotions I went through from the weight going up, down, standing still, compliments on weight loss, questions on weight gains.... the whole sheladder.

So if you need a buddy, some one whose goal was over a hundred and now 77.6 - 87.6 left to go, I give myself that extra 10lbs so I could have some wiggle room, then I will be happy to be your buddy. Feel a little disjointed because I have put back on 10lbs from last October when I stopped dieting, exercising, so I have alot to make up for.:banghead:

(BTW 52.6 loss would carry me to the actual loss of 100lbs.) so I know it can be done.....:seeya:
