I did 35 minutes on my bike this morning and 25 minutes weights. So one hour today total. I don't think I'm gonna do any more cause I woke up this morning a little hurtin' from all this exertion!

Maybe tomorrow I'll have a break like my bf has asked me to lol.

I'm feel cheery at the moment. Hoping to be another pound down by the Sunday weigh in for the August challenge :)
 
Good effort again hol, I've just got back from a step class. OH MY GOD!! I was in a world of pain and I don't purely just mean from sweating. You remember me saying I have little to no coordination...well that was well and truly put to the test tonight, and I failed. Hahahaha, have a good rest day. Not sure my 10lb challenge is going to plan, thus far at least x
 
OK so I went a little over my calories today but only by 50kcals.

It's early days yet but I feel more positive about what I'm doing this time around compared to what I was doing last year. I mean, I was doing well and I lost over 40lbs but I think I was still in a dieting head set, which is probably why it all fell apart after my holiday. I think this time I'm really looking at things as an overall continual effort to improve. If one day is a little off, I just do better the next day. And there's no end point, just consistency to build a healthier life.

I feel like this time, if and when I slip up, I can just pick myself up and dust myself off.

I hopefully the time the holidays roll around, I'll have a strong enough foundation to continue making healthy choices and exercise without the crutch of calorie counting and control that, usually, I couldn't 'diet' without.

That will be the ultimate test!

Anyway, end of my little rant. I'm happy with how things have gone so far and I'm going to keep it up! Cause I'm feeling great about myself and my body just because of the efforts I'm making to look after it!

Not much exciting to report, I've been good food wise lately but I've taken a little break from the full on exercise - I was beginning to be sore.

Tomorrow I'm gonna try get 30 minutes of cycling in and begin drinking 11 glasses (argh!) of water a day for the mini challenge.
 
The good news today is that I measured how many mls our glasses hold and it's 500ml not 250ml so I only have to drink 6 a day to get half my body weight in fl oz lol...

I didn't think I drank very much but I've realised now I usually drink 3 or 4 of those glasses at least and that's 1.5-2L a day.

I think I'm gonna start bringing my calories down to 1600 from 1800kcal. I lost 1.8lbs this week but when I averaged out my calories I was eating about 1600 a day anyway so I'm going to try and consistently aim for that rather than getting it by eating a little over and a little under 1800 every other day lol.

I'll see how it goes!

Now I've got some really boring chores to do, such as sorting out all the paper and work I have strewn around our lounge.
 
Ah paper work.. One of lifes little annoyances!!
I just leave it until theres too mcuh usually, which means I spend hours sat in the middle of the room with paper all around me!!

Well done on the 1.8lbs though, you're obviously doing it right! Thats a great loss for a week :)
 
I'm quite pleased with how things are going :D I guess it's it's not broke, don't fix it so I'm gonna carry on with my current system for a while longer.

I'm going for Nando's today, yum! It's gonna be using up like 1000kcals lol but it's worth it and I'm gonna make sure I come back and do some exercise.

Also going shopping for art supplies since I've been painting more recently :) Fun day!

The water challenge is the mini challenge for this week's August challenge. Did that make any sense?! We have to drink half our weight in fl oz each day to get an extra point.

I was gonna try and get out for a bike ride or a run today but I've been kinda lazy. I have stayed within my calories though.

I'm gonna do 30 minutes of wii fit stuff now to at least get half a point and try and make up for my laziness tomorrow!
 
I've done 1.5 hrs of exercise today, 1 hour bike ride and 30 minutes weights and stretches.

I had eggs on toast and beans for breakfast/lunch and going to have lean homemade burgers and wedges tonight, yum yum.

I think I should be trying to fit in more veggies to my diet. Maybe that'll be the mini challenge next week...
 
I've done an hour swimming, I kinda wanted to do some more but I think I'll just try and do extra tomorrow.

Uh not sure what else to say! I like to post here daily but sometimes I just have nothing to say haha things are all going well so far.
 
Hey Holly, sorry I've gone a tad awol, work work work. Good effort on the exercise front!! I currently can't feel my arms...or legs! Good times hehehehe x

I was down to 185.8 today, woop, 3 lbs down since last thursday.

Thanks so much lovely ladies :) I appreciate the support! Though to be honest, last week was the TOM so some of that loss might be water weight but I'm not complaining, I'll take what I can get.

Did 45 mins jog, 25 mins weights (also upped the weights I'm using by a half lb) and 20 minutes wii tennis with my bf lol to bring it up to 1 hr 30 mins exercise today.

My big news is that I tested my resting heart rate today and since I've started exercising again it's gone from an unhealthy 81 bmp to a super healthy 51 bmp!!! I can't believe it. I've got the heart of a healthy person :D

The bf and I are making a healthy take on stew and dumplings tonight, hopefully the dumplings will work still when we replace the uber calorific suet with light spread :S ... I'm not holding out too much hope - fingers crossed.

I'm so pleased that I'm managing to continue lose weight even though I'm eating an average of 1700kcal daily. I can't believe I used to eat 1200-1500kcal to get this kind of loss. It feels a little too good to be true and I know I'll have to drop down a bit in a few weeks time but, still, it's nice whilst it's lasting.
