I can get to some beaches. But the one I love the most you have to take a boat and I don’t want to risk it.
 
I'm glad you're being careful. Some beaches, if they are almost deserted, are better than no beaches :)
 
I suspect any St Croix beach is pretty good. Took the grandkids to our local "beach" today, just the shore of a local lake. It was cold and windy, but kind of looked beach like.

Well I’m back. This time I’m not writing my weight until May 1. I should be home Apr 22. Since I have not been drinking I feel better. I’ve indulged in good food. Visiting my aunt and she always have big meals and always have cake. And I cannot say no. Don’t know how long they have left.

My sis FIL seems to be having a fever. So everyone worried it’s the coronavirus. Her in-laws takes care of the twins when she’s working. I do think she is working at home now.
Plus my brother is out of the hospital. Not quite well yet but doctors is releasing those that aren’t necessary to be there. 11 died in a vets home near Boston. He is now staying with my sis in the basement. She is already having problems with his smoking. Doesn’t want to go outside to do it. TBD what will happen tomorrow.

She did suggest he stay at my condo. Hell no!!! He tells me he isn’t smoking inside and it’s a lie. But he is still crazy so that means he needs supervision always. So my sis said send him here. He needs to go back to the hospital if she can’t take care of him. After this is contained then he could come back home to st Croix. After all the flight is flying to Puerto Rico for the VA hospital there.

I’ve been here just leaving for important items as food. I tried to go early after the seniors go through. So about once a week. Trying to go longer this time. Mainly bread, cheese, ham. I have eggs. Veggies. I do have to go to the laundromat once every 15 days. it has a sign to wear gloves. But none are provided. I’m lucky that have a pair from my mom.

Weight wise not too good. But I’ve also stopped b/p. So this last month I’m going to do my best. I plan on eating veggies and protein. Mostly. I will try to do my best. I don’t want to be above a certain weight when I go back home.

my brother left and it’s just my mom and me. She is just eating less. I try to eat how she eats but I do end up eating more than her if I’m not fasting.

I can’t wait to walk around the lake. As soon as I get back! Too bad pf will be closed.

I am up late and can’t sleep. Meds not working. Maybe since I’ve been up late.

im worried that the covid 19 gets me while I’m at the airport for my flight. JetBlue with one stop in Puerto Rico. Then to Logan Airport in Boston. Kinda scared. I will wear my mask and wear gloves mostly because I touch my face often so this makes me more aware.

So far we have 11 confirmed cases of it. But mass has a lot. May 22 late. Other than that I’m excited to start my weight loss again.

I plan on eating lunch and dinner. Veggies and shrimp for breakfast and a protein for dinner with veggies. I’ll try to have a veggie for breakfast with an egg.

So I plan on doing IF when I get back. Def skip breakfast. Lunch and dinner- protein and veggies. No snacking. And yes I take my vitamins- multi, magnesium, B12, and D.

I do have a dental cleaning when I get back. I have the 14 day for self isolation. Don’t know how I will get my food. Maybe my sis can get some for me. Won’t need much. Chicken, veggies, and shrimp. Anything I can remember I’ll put on my list.

Welcome back, Vic! Good to read your posts. I am not here as much but I check in still. Be careful on your travels. Squirt lots of sanitizer any chance you get and wear a mask if you have one.

Since I have not been drinking I feel better.

Great that you're enjoying it to the fullest you can while you're still there. :) Be double-careful on the flight, and in the airports etc - as Rob says, wear a mask if you have one (and maybe improvise one, if you haven't?) and gloves if you have them too - but remember then that the gloves might be contaminated - so don't touch your face with them either. :(

Tomorrow going to my aunt for lunch. She makes a lot of dishes. And I’m not sure who eats it all when we r not there. And her serving sizes are huge. I had to throw out most of the rice that she would plate me.

After that on Monday I’ll start back on IF meaning just dinner. Mostly veggies and a protein. I’ll eat later so I don’t feel hungry at nighttime. I’ve had a hard time sleeping. Even with my ambien.

I also have to pay my bills tomorrow. My mortgage was changed and the letter is probably at my home so I don’t have the account number to change it. And the call center was not supportive. I am hoping they will move my April date and put it on the end of my mortgage. Then I’m scared to check my cc. I’ve been buying construction stuff for my mom who is completing a house. But I will get repaired.
 
Well today for lunch/dinner I had a lot. It was dal, curry chick peas, rice, ribs, curry duck, and roti. I tried not to eat everything on my plate. I also had one lemon cupcake. Couldn’t refuse.

Last night I actually went to bed and fell asleep. So I did not get up and eat any food. Tonight I’ll go to bed at the same time.

I usually gain weight because of my night eating. So if I can just fall asleep then I’ll be fine.

So today I did OMAD. Of course the day isn’t finished yet but I am still full.
 
That food sounds so good. I just love curries. Have you had a try at paying your bills yet, Vic?
 
Yes, Cate. Did them online today. Except for my mortgage. I can’t until I get my account number. So I’ll check my mail when I get back. It’ll be before this month ends. It’s just April that I will pay a little late. Not too worried.

I’ve paid all my bills. All the money that I took out a loan for is finally all paid. So I’m back to saving. The stimulus check will be just great. I will put it in my savings account so I have fluid money. After I save enough I will put the extra into cds.

I bought so much stuff last month. Yes I did stock up on toilet paper since I am not home and don’t know the situation. I had them sent to my sis house. I also bought mask which won’t be in for awhile coming from China. And I just got gloves came in quick.

And I’m taking back my Mac Pro laptop that I originally bought for my brother. Just missing a power cord which I got off of amazon. He can use my old Mac laptop. He usually on the internet anyway. He is staying with my sis under 14 days of self isolation in the basement.

while I was by my aunt house. My cuz seems to be sick. So I’m not sure if she has the virus and gave it to us. I will find out the next week. On Tuesday I’m going grocery shopping in the morning so I can beat the rush. But food stamp individuals should have shopped already. Cost u less has senior hour so I have to go after that.

Sounds like a great meal, like Cate I also like curries. Does the OMAD thing make night eating harder to resist? I eat small meals and a lot of snacks, including one just before bed, that helps me. Not sure how I would do on OMAD.

Good to see you posting again, you were missed!
 
I forgot that I also had to have a new battery and a new alternator and new rear brakes fixed. So a lot of money. My sis is using my car while I’m down here.
 
Rob, I think I do better with OMAD with my meal around 4 or so. Then I usually don’t feel hungry at night. Then I won’t binge since it’s only one meal. Because if I purge then it’s b/p cycle. I know this by now.

But it’s hard in practice because my mom is here and she has diabetes so she needs to eat breakfast and then a later meal. So she can eat my afternoon meal.

But breakfast is so tempting because I love butter bread and that’s only here. Salami and cheese is so delicious and raisin bread. I can’t stop myself. So good.
 
Thanks Vic, that makes sense. I am sure its harder to do OMAD living with a diabetic, not that I know much about it but don't they have to eat often?

Breakfast is probably the easiest meal for me to skip, but if I had salami, cheese, raisin bread, and butter it would be hard to resist!

Today I had an egg and cheese and ham on wheat bread for breakfast. Dinner will be salad with shrimp.

Went grocery shopping this morning. First time wearing a mask and gloves.
 
So this morning for breakfast I had 2 slices of wheat bread and 2 slices of cheese with coffee and creamer.

Dinner was a salad mix and veggies and shrimp.

Will try to sleep at midnight. Been going to bed late and want to work it back to a decent time. Means I’m waking up later. Tomorrow I’m going to set my alarm.

That must seem strange, not many people here wearing such protective gear. Maybe we should be.
