Vic’s Weight Loss

Went to the gym. I walked on the treadmill at 15% incline for an hour at a fast pace at first then moderate. I did 5 min on recumbent bike. And strength trained my lower body on machines.

Weighed myself after. At 144.0 lbs!

Drinking water until lunch. Had my Greek yogurt and raspberries for breakfast with a coffee with almond milk. Had a bowl of cereal for lunch. Just didn’t feel like cooking. Had leftovers of steak and low carb tortilla. Ate 4 chili tamarind balls.

Went to the gym and walked on an incline for an hour. About to cook dinner. I’m making airfried broccoli and shrimp. Kinda late. But I can’t sleep if I don’t eat.

I did take a nap midday so I hope I can fall asleep tonight.

Sounds like a good day, Vic. Are you eating many veggies? It may be that you just don't mention them.
 
No I don’t eat as much veggies or even fruits as I should. But I’m working on my diet now.

My air fryed shrimp was really good. So was my broccoli. I have a lot of shrimp so I’ll be eating them this week.

Today I’ve been asleep most of the day. I think my body needed the rest. So I decided to not do any exercise today.

I had some raspberries, cereal, lasagna, salad with chicken tenders, 4 shrimp, and half of a steak quesadilla. Dinner was ground chicken breast salad.

Today I had a 3 donut holes and an iced coffee with almond milk. I’ll eat better for the rest of the day.

I slept great last night. Which is surprising since I slept most of the day yesterday,

Had chicken and chopped salad. Eating celery now.

Yup, Cate. Came home and had another salad and some air fryed broccoli. I’ve also been eating celery.

Last night (11) after I ate dinner (8) I was ‘hungry’ so I was tempted to eat a beef empanada. But instead I had a coffee with almond milk and some celery. And it worked! Could finally sleep. So I decided to eat the celery mainly I think because of the crunch.

Tomorrow is snowing so I won’t be going anywhere until my driveway is plowed. So I decided to do a meatless day. We r not going to be getting together. I have a day to myself. I’m going to try to drink water instead of the Diet Coke. I am still going to drink coffee with almond milk. Can’t go without my coffee! Maybe another time.

Nothing wrong with coffee if you like it. As long as you don't add a ton of sugar or cream, of course. Denying yourself everything you enjoy is not sustainable in the long run and coffee alone doesn't even have calories afaik!
 
If you enjoy coffee go for it, there are health benefits of coffee so long as it is not drowned in sugar. Personally I cannot stand the taste of coffee.

Well I ended up eating ground chicken breast late last night. The veggies did not fill me up.

Today I had my coffee with almond milk. Couldn’t skip it when I woke up! You guys r right. Can’t give up the stuff I like. Not sustainable. So I’m just adding in veggies and keep the protein. Couldn’t get rid of the Diet Coke either.

I have to dig out my car still but the plow hasn’t come through yet. Dreading it!

Woke up late today! But I have nothing to do. Maybe laundry later.

Lunch was cabbage and prob an ounce of ground chicken breast that I stir fryed. I feel so much better eating the veggies. I’m about to have a salad with sg poppyseed dressing.

Ended up by my sis for dinner and to hang out. I said no to the shot. Had a small piece of salmon no skin and salad with sg poppyseed dressing. And I said no to the peach upside down cake. Did bring some for my bro. I’m not going to eat anything else today. Brushed my teeth and ready for bed.

The plow did a great job.

Had a sliver of peach cake. Had to taste it. And I had a salad with an ounce of ground chicken with sh dressing.

Protein is an absolute necessity if you want to stay healthy AND it helps you to feel less hungry. Fiber and micronutrients from the veggies, lean protein from the chicken breast, plenty of fluids, some (hopefully) healthy fats from that dressing: all good stuff!

:iagree: with LaMa. All the good stuff definitely includes protein. I have it at every meal.

Breakfast I had piece of a peach upside down cake and coffee with cashew milk. Was by my sis. Brought them bakery bagels. From Georgetown. We went to the Plaistow Library. They had an event for the kids.

Today I signed for free deliveries from grub hub. Already ordered McDonald’s for my bro. Just did not want to go through drive through! Tomorrow morning I have my Panera breakfast coming in. I’ll have to get up earlier than normal. I have a month free then it’s about 10 bucks. All my bro favorites and I won’t have to get them!

Lunch was a salad and shrimp. Mid afternoon snack was an air fryed egg. Dinner im having flounder and veggies. I got hungry. And after dinner I had an egg. I should be good to go to sleep.

Tomorrow my week begins again. I would like to do a fitness video.

Well I’m up tonite. I tried sleeping but couldn’t. So I did a 30 min hip hop dance exercise video on apple fitness. Feeling good right now. I plan on doing a strength video in awhile. I plan on going to the gym in the morning when the gym opens at 7 am to walk on treadmill.

Just had a salad with sg dressing. I’m watching fitness videos on YouTube. A lot of motivation. Had an egg (70) because I was hungry. Still not sleepy! It’s 430 am. Only 2.5 hrs till the gym. Maybe I’ll watch a movie. I plan on eating my breakfast after the gym and grocery shopping. I cancelled my Panera breakfast order.

So I ended up sleeping for 30 min. And of course I was tired when I woke up. So did not go to the gym. My sis invited me for lamb later today. I did have another egg. (70) Had some onion rings. (50)

I went grocery shopping and got tons of healthy foods. A lot of sales today in Shaws!

Drinking a lot of iced water. By my sis. Had lamb, rice, and cucumber, tomato, and red onion salad with balsamic dressing. (500) No seconds. I did not have any alcohol or cookies. No ice cream. No snacks of any kind. And I was tempted. But I don’t want to undo my progress.

Today wasn’t too hard! I want to do another apple fitness video tonite.

I hope I can sleep tonite. I’ll get ready for bed at 1030 pm. I do have all my laundry to put away.

Had a warm lemon water to hopefully have a bowel movement. Been several days and I feel bloated. Had MOM. And I also took some mirilax. It’s now 8pm. Just checking to see how long it’ll take to produce a bm. If I don’t get one tonight or tomorrow I’m going to see my pcp.

Kinda hungry after dinner. Had an egg wrap with wok broccoli mix and half of a trout. (100) Having some steamed broccoli (25). Wanted something sweet so I had half a rice cake and a tsp of creamy pb. (30) baby bell cheese (50). I also had an energy drink earlier.(20). Almond milk (30)

Seems like I ate a lot today! (About 1000 cals)

Well I am not writing my weight until either I come back from vacation which is in 2 weeks or after my bro leave at end of feb. I just hope that I will be under 145 lbs.

Today I had 3 cookies icecream sandwiches! Then I had a bagel with cream cheese. Some Cheetos. And some Fritos and tortilla chips. Some chicken noodles. Then after all of that I had dinner. My sis made lamb shawarma. It was so good. She had roasted lamb from yesterday. Fresh pita bread. Tahini sauce. Tabouli. Onions and cucumber, lime.

Then in other news.., a little bm this morning. Tonite I took cvs laxative. Hopefully this works. If not I’ll take senna for a week. Then after my vaca I’ll go see the pcp.

Today the nurse called for the caregiver program. Mostly talked to my sis. Got an optometry appt to see if I need glasses. Several years ago I got lasik. But I don’t think I can see the motor vehicles eye chart. So I’m just taking precautions for my next year drivers license renewal. I will check about the contact lenses but I don’t think the VA offers that! I also got an appt with a nutritionist at the end of the month. Hopefully it will be useful. Give me a plan.

Tomorrow I have to take my mom to her pcp appt. Thank god that she has no worries.

On another note my mom said that I can have her caregiver money to pay off my mortgage!!! So I should have it paid off by the end of this year!!!

I also bought the twins piggy banks- one unicorn with stickers and one Captain America. I got Alex Superman but won’t get it till next week. I want to teach them about coins and savings and spending money.

After dinner because it’s late and I’m hungry I had a banana and a little multi grain cheerios. Also had some stirfried cabbage and flounder.

Well I had a nice bm today. Had breakfast of an avocado toast and a tea with almond milk.

Not going to the gym since I might have to stay close to a bathroom.

I’m going to try not to eat until 11 or so. And no snacking on junk. I can only have liquids. After lunch I have to take my mom to her pcp appt.

And I did not sleep last night. Completely awake. Just cleaned up. Watch a series. Listened to music. Going to read a book and drink coffee with almond milk until 8. Then I’ll go by my mom. Get us coffees from McDonald’s.

Ended up at Panera bread when they opened at 6 am. I took a shower and did my makeup! I had a hot coffee with almond milk and Splenda. Read my book and listened to music. Then I was like this is a great idea. Took my mind away from eating. So I did the unlimited monthly hot coffee and hot tea monthly subscription for $10. I left went to the drive they to use it and got a coffee for my mom.

Ate lunch of a lamb shawarma about 11 am. Not having seconds even though it’s delicious. And I’m not snacking either. Even though I’m by my sis and her twins have tons of snacks.

That's lovely of your Mum, but you have done very well to be able to get so close to paying off your mortgage. Not having a mortgage is a wonderful thing.
 
Yup, Cate! It’s going to be great when I finally pay the mortgage off. Then all I would have to pay is my HOA, taxes, and condo insurance. Can’t wait!!!

Went with my mom to her appt. Couldn’t go in with her. So I just went to DD for a hot coffee with almond milk and Splenda. I did have 3 munchkins. Its single digits and so cold!

I’m by my sis and she’s making lettuce wraps with ground turkey with tons of veggies cut up in small pieces so the twins don’t know what’s in there! So I’ll stay and have dinner. Had a small chocolate chip cookie after dinner.

I really hope I can sleep tonight. I’ll go to bed at 1030 pm. Which is my ideal time to sleep. I should be really tired. I plan on getting up to go to Panera for my free hot coffee with almond milk. Then I’ll try to get an iced coffee too. Planning on reading my book and listen to some music before my day begins. Prob skip breakfast and eat my sis leftovers for lunch!

Tomorrow my sis challenged me to just try to cut back on the diet sodas. So I’m going to just drink one at dinner. Then for Lent I will try to do without for the 40 days. Seems kinda impossible but I said I will attempt. She is doing the same but she usually just drinks a quarter of one with dinner. So for her it will be easy.

I do have low calorie juices and crystal light that I can substitute. And coffee and teas with either almond milk or cashew milk. And water.

Tomorrow I’ll bring my mom a coffee from Panera. And she has an appt for a massage about 30 min away that my sis got for her. Then after in mid afternoon we r going for oysters and drinks and prob some apps. My sisters and mom. Ariana isn’t coming. She isn’t coming to our Orlando vacation next week either. Which is good because she always has drama. She doesn’t know how to chill. Complains about accommodations etc.

The vaca is just me, my mom, my older sis with her twins, and my younger sis with Alex. The guys are staying home because they did not want to take time off of work.
