Hey Veronique - it's only a small gain and probably just from the extra salt from the take out food. Nothing you can't get off next week!! That's exciting to get the Wii game for your birthday - I hope you get lots of use out of it. I need to hook up my Wii fit this week and do some of the hola hooping. I used to do 12 minutes straight every day when I first got it and I could really notice a difference. I also liked the yoga on there so I just need to get it out again and put some batteries in it!
I'm starting holidays today so I won't be around much - just wanted to say thanks for always coming by my diary - it's been quiet lately but you never let me down!! If I get any opportunities to post while I am away I will be sure to see how you are doing so keep it up!! See you around the middle of Aug! Take care and I'll be thinking of you in the new job - hope it all goes smoothly!![]()
I'm glad you're not taking the weight gain to a negative space inside. Too many people let something like that, a small weight gain, derail their efforts. The scale not moving, or moving backwards, is just a sign to step it up a little bit and stay on track. A couple weeks ago I had a 9 day plateau along with a 2 lb weight gain over night, even though I hadn't changed anything in my weight loss efforts. I just kept my feet on the path and kept going. A couple days later the 2 lbs dropped off, then a couple more days later I dropped an additional 3 lbs. Even though I didn't change anything! Sometimes it just seems like we're just being tested. lol
"I am gonna take the gain and run with it. Next week will be a much better weight in" - I love your positive energy. That will take you very far.![]()
I have sort of hit a plateau
I am gonna work very hard at being positive from now on cause I am starting to see that positivity attract positivity!!!!
Sounds like it might be time to shake things up a bit? Maybe change around some calories or try a new physical activity.
Awesome! You're very right about that! The law of attraction!*hugs*
I think with the new job I will have more time to exercise, I will be spending about 1 hour and 20 min less each day in the car so I will have to make that part of my me time!
I plan on buying the Wii Fit in order to up my exercise a bit!!!
Positive positive !!!!! On my way up (and down... )
OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!! YOU GOT THE JOB!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS! This is the best news ever. I am so sorry this message comes in late. I have really been under the rock lately. I just saw some of the posts and then went back to 26 July entry and saw it. You totally deserve this new job. I still need to catch up on the last two pages of your journal, but wanted to congratulate you before I dash off to my next meeting. So so so so happy for you.
That's great to hear! I'm really glad you'll be able to dedicate more time to yourself and your body.![]()
Me too this has been a long time coming!
I have the Wii Fit and it's so much fun! I play on it a lot. Just be sure and stock up on AA batteries, the remote eats the crap out of them! lol
We have owned the Wii for a couple of years now what we have done is buy rechargable batteries 3 sets that way there are always some good to go!!! We always buy rechargable cause half the kids toys a battery operated and disposable ones are bad for the planet and my wallet in the long term!
LOL! It's great to see you so positive! You're right, you're on your way up in life and down in weight!![]()
Happy early Birthday!Wow, cool, I'm 31 too (though I turned 31 almost 2 months ago). We're still the same age! Yay! You know everyone said that turning 30 would be really hard but 30 wasn't so bad for me. I guess it took a year to really sink in because for some reason when I turned 31 it finally hit me that I was a woman in her 30s. LOL! I still felt like someone in my 20s.
But because of my size people have always mistaken me for someone much older. When I was 17 and my bosses assistant mistook me for someone older than her (she was 24). I guess when you weigh nearly 300 lbs at age 17, you look a lot older than you are. Even in my mid 20s people mistook me for someone in their mid 30s. But I think that will change once I drop the weight. People don't really "see" you when you're fat. They don't really look at you, but rather through you like you are a non-entity. They see the size and guess your age by that.
I have a feelings there will be a lot of changes in the way people see me and treat me once I get closer to goal weight - it's a little scary, but it's kind of fun too.. like a social experiment! To see the difference in the way people treat you based on your size.
Veronique, you should totally celebrate birthday this year. Small affair, with family and friends. That's the way I like to spend birthdays too. You should make it extra special this year because you have a lot to celebrate- new job, birthday, really cool positive attitude and an amazing healthy lifestyle. When exactly is your b'day?
