Ok so I got a walk in today so far and I have to start on those challenge workout too. kind of busy but I wanted to give a sign of life

I have left over veggie burgers that I could make (black beans, 1 oignion, 2 cloves of garlic,2 carrotts shredded,2 cups of spinach chopped,cummin, chili powder, cayenne pepperand the recepie called for 3 tbsp of whole wheat flower but I grounded sunflower and flax seeds instead) love this stuff I somethimes eat it with bread but since I had a sub for lunch I will wrap it in lettuce.

Good Morning

Well I have good news...the insurance will fix my car! I gotta say I fell in love with my rental.....I can open the doors at the touch of a button, and there is a camera when I backup , very comfy, and it's a nice dark red.....even if it is a mini van I don't care I just love it once I got used to all the digital stuff!

I ended up not eating diner but munching on stuff....like sunflower seeds, and cold chicken not much of it and didn't eat junk but I should have had a meal! of well

Good evening forum friends.....well getting up at 5 am is quite a challenge for me! Felt more natural this morning ...probably cause I was in bed by 8 lol! I have to do a challenge workout! I totally felled it last week I just to much to do to get ready for this week and dealing with the insurance companies and all but I did get some walking in...and this week I don't even have much time to think about food...my new job is quite challenging...its a bit what I used to de but on such a bigger scale.

YAY! Glad you will be joining our challenge! I don't think you are too far behind if that helps. I've only done 2 so far, but hope to do 3 this week and 5 next to catch up :) We shall see!

Hey Icy!

Been keeping busy....the job itself is nice...really nice....I hope it gets to be more then 30 days, but we will see. I really like my coworker, we get along well and work well together......today is kind of a sad and happy day...I have to returne my rental car....the kids and I really like it fully loaded, and even has the camera for when I back out and the doors are electric.....going back to my hundai will suck....but it will be fixed and fully paid! ok back to the weight loss, well my coworker is also trying to loose a few pounds, so we are pushing ourselves to eat healthier....she keeps telling to snack more but I only eat when I am hungry and well at break time I ain't hungry.

Hey Vero, checking in after awhile - good news about the job, fingers crossed it's long-term. Good job on only eating when you're hungry, too!

If you aren't hungry you shouldn't eat....with that said I smack my fiance when he goes all day not eating and says he isn't hungry for dinner. So yes, eat when hungry, but be sure you are eating! You could always keep nuts at your desk and just eat a few if you feel you aren't eating enough.
 
Hey Little John I am it is good to see you! Hey Icy....I would never make it through a day with no food, I just don't beleive I should make myself eat a mid morning snack just cause someone told me too you know...as for nuts, well there is an actuall school in the building so I am not sure I am aloud to have nuts or seeds,,,,,I will have to ask I guess it all depends if a person with allergies is registered at the moment I will have to check on that.

Ok well I weighted in at 204.6 this morning....:( this weekend was bad all the way lots of wine and junk foods and it's tom so that plays on the scale it just isn't very incouraging. I am not giving up....tommorow my first day of juicing! I kind of did the juicing today but I had a coffee and muffin in the morning and then juice for lunch and will have juice for diner! Fridge is full of carrotts and beets and grapefruit and produce got no more room for junk ....wich is a great thing....my stomach is fine not growling or anything but I do want to eat.....everything in sight almost, hope my head will join the game soon this morning I wanted to kill for coffee, and everyone is getting on my nerves. I should leave for a week .......just to keep my familly away from evil hungry me! Hopefully being at work will improve things....I really need to up my energy and jump start my weight loss....once I am done with the 10 or 15 days depending on how I feel I will then juice twice a day and have a light healthy plant based dinner possibly raw most of the time...not all the time but often...I hate cooking and I was vegan for years and I even found a recepie to make cheese out of cashews I can do this......I just need to focus on how I am feeling! now what my head says!

Annyone hear of oil pulling,.....it is kind of interesting to read about and I am wondering if my 6year old could do it....lately her astma is more out of controle I am gonna have to get this place checked for mold.....we have water going up in the basement a few times a year and the landlord never opened up the walls to dry the inside...I am worried about that we may have to move as soon as possible! Wondering if the oil pulling could help her out!
 
I woke up so exausted this morning.....I kind of started my juicing yesterday after breakfast...but this morning woke up so exausted....Hubby had to drag me out of bed, I think it had more to do with comming down with a cold I have one sinus that is completely blocked kind of feels like half my face is bigger then the other. Fun stuff oh well if I am comming down with something it will make the juicing that much easier since I usually don't eat much when I feel sick!!!! Today if officially day one of 10!!!! may do the 15 it all depends on how I feel!

Hmm, I'm a bit wary of juice fasts. I don't know how good an idea it is to deprive your body of fats and proteins for an extended period of time.
 
Hey Lucy....I was also very hesitante....but many vegetables contain protein...I didn't eat any meat or meat by product from the age of 14 up to 22 and I was always very healthy....as for the fat I am adding avocadoes to some juices and coconut oils to others.....I mainly just need to get my head in the game.....get the cravings gone....I am doing 3-10 days....I am sitting at a desk at work all day not running around or even standing....if I feel too tired then I will start adding a solid either breakfast or diner.......I am listening to my body...plus I am congested and sneazy so I ain't hungry....usually when I feel like this I drink teas and and only eat junk.....I don't know why feeling sick and eating crap really work together in my head but it does!


Today went well....I wasn't feeling hungry until I was driving home from work....I had a green tea with me so I drank that and it helped not buy everything at the grocery store.

ok so quick post before work 199.5 this morning....that is a 5.1 loss in 2 days.....I know that most of that is fluid retention from tom and also the fact that I am only juicing but the scale is moving in the right direction so hopefully it keeps going that way......that is encouraging to see I hope that I am still in the 190's on my friday official weight in!
 
Congrats on onederland! I don't think I could do a juice fast...but never tried it so can't knock it. I'm sure it works for some, and I bet it would help me eat more veggies if I juiced them and added enough of a sweet, strong fruit.

Keep it up! I'm sure you will see even more progress by Friday :)
 
Hey Icy......you could always try juicing without the fast....I started last week by replacing one meal with it just cause I was in too much of a hurry to make a whole meal....or some people replace snacks with the juice that way you absorb more nutrients....and increase veggie consumption.

My day yesterday was horrible....all day I felt like I was in a daze and I was disconnected from myself....I don't feel hungry and according to a group of people day 3 of juicing is the worst and by day 4 or 5 I will feel better so I will see how today goes but I am not making myself sick! If today and tommorow is as bad I will start eating one meal with food maybe breakfast or lunch and then juice the rest....we will see....I weighted in again today (I have to stop the daily weight in) 184.4....so the fast is working as far as weight loss but I don't just want weight loss I did this to help my emotional eating and so far when I felt down or stressed or tired I didn't crave food as much....I have to think of food as fuel not confort ......so far this is working out too:)
 
o I lost a total of 6lb last week I am now at 198.5lb this time and I am slowly returning to solid foods.....so far the loss remains....hopefully this has jumped started my weight loss!
 
Good morning.....Icy you and me both.....weighted myself and I am still at 198.5 :) happy bout that...yesterday I juiced for snacks only but today no time....my house was such a mess I spent three hours cleaning just the kitchen...my hubby wanting to be helpfull for my juicing bought way too much produce...so this weekend I had to prep some stuff.....in order not to waste anything so I have some healthy meal chilling in the freezer in case of emergency...no more take out excuse :).....work is going well but I am ancious to know if the lady is comming back at the start of november or later......I really like the job but I find that I do way less then I used to do at the school but then again ...there where people on sick leave and the other temps didn't stay long! I just have to fit in fitness in the whole working full time thing!
