just you should definitely replace meats using beans, dairy,eggs, tofu (if that suits you it), and nut products. These foods have many protein so you wont ought to worry about shedding muscle.
 
Vegetarian no. Vegan yes. However the diet needs to be balanced, you need to be careful to have certain nutrients in your diet every day
