Hey ya'll!

So I tried the whole losing weight back at the end of last year. I last 3 months and lost 13 kilos, and then I don't know what went wrong and I put it all back on.

Then mid this year I tried a juice fast and eating organic and I lost 5 kilos with that, and just put it on again.

I realise that these fad diets don't work. You really just need to eat healthy and exercise.

I'm starting my healthy eating habbits tomorrow.
Also I'm going to be hiring a treadmill, as it will be in my room and I'll have no excuse not to exercise. Treadmill is the only thing I seem to enjoy.

Will also be doing an excercise DVD 3-4 times a week aswell as toning.

I'll going to buy scales tomorrow, the ones from the biggest loser, they seem good.

So I'll weigh myself and measure tomorrow.

I feel I'm going to keep my calorie intake to 1400/1600 calories and under in order to lose weight.

Also just eat things like salads, meat, and try and eat whole foods and grains. I will be making my own bread.. and not trying to eat processed foods.

Any suggestions on what to eat and such would be great!

I'll update tomorrow.

Thanks guys!

More calories. 800-900 a day puts you right back into fad diet territory. Pick some sort of reasonable deficit and stick with it.

Also, there's no reason to wait until tomorrow. Start right this moment.

If you eat so few calories your body will think you are starving it, and will start storing what you do eat into fat. (Even if all you are eating is lettuce...)

Increase those calories, just make sure you are eating a variety of foods. Vegetables, fruits, whole grains, dairy, and protein. I think you will be happier with the results and be able to stick to your goals better without continuing to have that yo-yo affect.

Good luck! This forum is a great motivator.:gnorsi:

Today felt good.
I've been up since 9am, and I ate breakfast today... I usually don't wake up til the afternoon and never eat breakfast.

Snack:
cucumber sticks
Skinny Tanziki dip
small banana

Dinner:
2 packets of chicken noodle soup.. only 50 cal each
3 slices of my home made bread (i feel im going to not make this and jus eat multigrain bread)

Snack:
4 slice multigrain bread

some ham

====

Also bought scales, and I weighed myself and I currently weigh in at 244.6 pounds also it say that was 111.6kg

I bought a treadmill last night, so hopefully it'll arrive sometime this week! Woot. Highly excited about that =)

I'll do measurements first thing tomorrow when I wake up.

Is that alright to eat for everyday? or should I be eating more or less?

I am going to echo allyphoe's sentiments that 800-900 calories is definitely not enough for you on a day to day basis. The best way to lose weight is to find a healthy calorie intake that you can live with the rest of your life. 800-900 calories is cutting it awfully close to starvation levels.

There are numerous stickies and other resources on this board that are a great resource about healthy diets and calorie levels.

I woke up late today..

Brunch:
1/2 cup whole wheat flakes
1/2 cup skim milk
1/4 tsp splenda sweetner

Dinner:
I'm going to make like rice and meat and vegies
- 2 chicken breast (not sure on calories)
- 1cup brown rice =
- 3 celery sticks
- 6 small mushroom
- 1 carrot
- satay peanut sauce. = 250 cal
(I made this much and then ate half for dinner, and im going to eat the other half for lunch tomorrow)

Snack:
pack soup 77 cals
4 slices of my whole wheat i made they're smaller then normal size bread, so its only like 3 pieces in normal size bread
2 slices cheese
some ham

Also, here are my measurements

Hips - 123cm
Waist - 103cm
R leg - 76cm
L leg - 72cm

Sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling well. Hope you are back to feeling better soon!

It was mothers birthday today, and we had a cake, so i decided to have a piece of it tonight. I dont feel guilty about eating it, because i know its a treat, and im not going to eat more and more.

And also had 2 pieces of chicken from KFC, becaused I was hungry, and thats what everyone else was eating.

Ok, maybe I lied, maybe I do feel guilty.

But its food, you can burn it off. Which is what i'll do! =)

Thanks for the info... but even though the saladas are healthy & yummy, I was thinking they were something like "mini" salads.... LOL!!!

It's good that you give yourself a treat every now & then. I certainly did this weekend... Yea, I know you want to feel guilty about it, but you can't. It's not like you are going back to eating KFC every day or anything crazy like that. Keep up the good work. You are well on your way to changing your life forever!!! :hurray::hurray::hurray:
