UmmStarbucks Venti Iced White Mocha....

Tuesday:
Had a starbucks iced whit moca venti (no whip, nonfat milk) 460 cal
1 yougart: 100 cal
1 bowl total cereal, non-fat milk 305
1 cup wholegrain chips 85 cal
2 slices of turkey 105cal
dinner was a quasedilla (ordered from the low carb section) 1050 calories
another yougart after the gym 100 cal
Total cal: 2205

Gym: 1 hour 5 minutes on the cardio (1023 calories burned according to the display) 35 minutes strength training on the circuit machines.

Haven't weighed myself in a few days, hopefully I'll have lost a bit, as I seem to be hovering at the 298 mark

For the Cardio, I'm using just the crosstrainer as the gym I goto is a small circuit training gym (It's a 24 hour Loop site) so they dont have any treadmills (Or free weights), but it's right around the corner from the house, and with the scan of my thumb is open 24 hours, which is key as I usually work out after 11:00pm.

As for the calories, I think it's much to do because of my weight as it takes a bit O energy to lift my legs lol. I try to keep the avg. strides in the 150-160 range (on the big hills it goes down though).

I wish it was a full on 24 hour with everything, but the closest one is about 20 miles from home, and thats a trek at night. So on the circuit, I pretty much do everything in three-four sets of 10-30 reps on as much weight as I can handle (or at the machines max weight).

Dang Greg, what time do you get up for work in the morning? It is 4:00 am in MA (I work nights). Or are you just getting home?

Have you been able to move your ticker? Mine is holding for now, I really want to see it move (the right way), soon.

Guess I'm going to have to actually start counting calories. I was hoping that just changing the overall quality of intake might be enough, but I'mgoing to have to actually commit to writing down numbers.
 
I dont have to get up for work untill 8:45am, and I tend to be a night owl. So hitting the gym from 11:15-1:15am works pretty well for me, as I get about 6 hours + of sleep. Weekends I tends to sleep in till 10:00am though :)

Yea, my ticker has sort been the same weight wise for the past week and a half. But I have dropped down a belt size, but I need to work on my eating habits, and even out my eating to all day vs mostly at night.

Oh and at lunch I walked for about 40 minutes (It was very nice out, 85 degrees right by the bay in SF)

My ticker hasn't been moving much either, but I just started a fitness class, and my first project is "changing a behavior". I figure it's time to start tracking my calories, so I signed up on fitday. We'll see how it goes.
 
Check out as well. There a little spammy, but it's cool they will track your foods and print up meals for you as well for free based on your goals.
 
Hey, just dropped by to say I envy you for having Starbucks. that's one of the main things I miss back in the states. that and Arby's. though from what you said about some of the starbucks drinks, I guess I should be glad I can't have it:svengo:

Saturday:
Today was not a great food day, my wife made these really really good tacos, and I had 4 of them each one with probally 700 calories each, so not good (But they were really yummy). Add to that my turkey sandwich at lunch and the granola bar and I was over 3500 calories today. Very not good.
But I did goto the gym extra long tonight to try to help reduce the pain.
Gym: 1 hour 20 minutes on cardio: 1206 calories 60 minutes on the strength machine calories unknown.

I need to get better control when I get tempted, as I tend stuff and then regret later. Funny I actually like going to work as im not so tempted to just walk over to the fridge and grab something.
 
Monday: 1 yougart for breakfast, and a cup of coffee with sugar free creamer. 205cal
Lunch: Philly steak sandwich: 800cal
Dinner: Chevys Fish Taco and corn tortilla: 1050cal
total: 2055 cal
gym 65 min cardio -1036cal + 45 minutes strength ? on cal

Temptation is a lot easier to avoid when it doesn't exist isn't it?

I agree with you on getting better control. This is my weakness - willpower. It is difficult to see a pan of homemade lasagna and stop at just one reasonable sized piece...

I did okay this weekend, but it would be really easy to fall.
 
Yea, it's much easier when Im at work thn when Im at home food wise.

Lunch: Subway roasted turkey 405 cal
Sugar free Gumi worms 45 calories (Tasted like rubber ass though)
grilled chicken and pasta for dinner 950 calories
1 See's Peanut Butter Peanut Brittle 150 calories :)

Total calories: 1925
Gym: 75 min cardio tonight for 1154 burned, and then It ried out doing work on the mats and some situps and pushups. Those ball workouts are much harder than I though they would be as my balance was the suck. But it will improve.
 
Thursday:
Breakfast: 1 lowfat yougart 100 calories
Lunch: Walked 1.5 miles to get a Pastrami sandwich 900 calories from this old restraunt thats been around since the 1920's. Then had to walk the same amount back to the office. (I took a long lunch :)
Dinner: bowl of Jumbalia with turkey meat. 700 calories
Total calories was in the 1700 range or so today

Gym: 70 minutes cardio 1056 cal, and 1 hour strength training?
So did good today.
People are starting to notice that my clothes are getting looser :)
 
So taoday was the once a quarter family birthday celebration (6 birthdays all rolled into one gathering). Needless to say, it was not a healty eating day. Way too much good bbq, potatoe salad, pies, cake, etc. I probally had around 3500 calories today which is not good, but what can you do. to make up for it I did 1.5 hours on the cardio 1444 calories burned, and another hour on the strength. I also picked up a Wii fit and hooked it up today and did a half hour on yoga. This little thing is pretty cool. Although I didnt like it on how it fattened up my mii (Basically a character that looks like you that you create on the wii). but it has some good exercises, and I think it's a good addition to add to the mix. I think it called me fat a few times lol, which was pretty funny.

Just weighed myself and down 3 lbs to 294 :) First 25 down!!

:hurray:congrats on the 25lbs down! I've heard good things about the Wii fit, hope you have fun with it. I'm still trying to choose between getting one of those, or some new freeweights for my workouts. Deffinately let us know how you're liking the wii.
Glad you enjoyed the good food and still managed to workout afterwards. I think with all the cardio and strength training you did, you put a pretty good dent in the overall calories you had. so rock on, and keep at it! you're doing great

The Wii fit is actually pretty cool. I did an hour on it as I was tired after. My daughter seems to like it to (at least right now during the "New" phase). The Yoga peice of it kicks my ass.

Food wise today:
1 yougart 110 cal
two slices of turkey and a slice of cheese, and a little bit of bread. 285 cal
tall coffee and flavor: 185 cal
Popcorn chicken and pasta for dinner and brocolli: 965 calories
sugarfree ice cream: 185 cal
Total cal: 1730
Went to the gym: 70 minutes cardio: 1103 cal burned, and 55 minutes of strength ?? + the wii so did well today on burning calories I hope.
 
Tue:

1 bananna 145 calories
turkey sandwich and cheese with pickles honey dijon mustard and roll (homemade) 645 calories
3 chicken brests and steamed rice and aspergas. 945 calories
1845 calories

Walked for 45 minutes at lunch.
Gym: 70 minutes cardio 1104 burned, and 40 minutes strength ?? on cal burned
30 minutes on the wii fit
The wii says im down 1.18 lbs from yesterday :) (Yes I know it's just normal weight flux but :)
Also had to make three trips donw from our office to the data center (About 4 blocks each way) for 24 blocks waled and the lugging of 50 lbs servers in and out of racks. so it was a good day energy wise.

Wenesday I had about 1650 calories, and did an hour of cardio, and 45 minutes of strength, Thursday was really low on calories as I ended up being at work from 10:00am-2:30 am on Friday morning. I did manage about 1200 calories, and had hit the gym at lunch for 40 minutes of cardio and 20 of weight training. Friday I brought in about 1900 calories, and did the hour gym on cardio (1045 cal burned), and an hour of strenght + anothe 30-40 minuts on the Wii fit. That things a blast, and it gets you sweating.
Sat: 2200 calories in (most of it protein, as I was craving PB today). did an hour on the wii, and then another half hour or so of situps and pushups, as I couldnt make it to the gym as they we're closed tonight for painting.
So all in all a good week.

Sounds like you're doing really well Greg! An hour of cardio...that's impressive!

I did 45 mins on the elliptical, then walked 20 minutes on the treadmill at 3mph to cool down. I don't burn many calories through walking, I managed to burn around 600 calories with my gym workout.
