Typhon: The Reinvention

I totally didn't notice the posts above, sorry about that.

Anyway; I've started the early morning training now and getting used to lifting first thing although I should really get more structure to my training. I was doing a push session earlier and tried my luck at a 440 squat. I managed 3 'sissy squats' but just couldn't get parallel. I guess I was being a little over confident there

Also, the bulk is going OK. I'm a little concerned with my speed of weight gain though. I've been on the new plan for about 10 days and have gained 8lbs and about 2% BF. Not sure what's happened there; I've obviously been sloppy with my diet. That does work out to about 3-4lbs of muscle gain though and that's what this bulk is all about.

My plan should be to gain another 10lbs over the next 2 months and get that BF to drop back down to sub-20%

3-4 sets at 264x20 ?!!!! You sick f**ker ;) Im hurting just thinking about that, good luck!
 
I know I haven’t been updating this very much recently, got a lot of bad **** going on right now, my girlfriend is having tests run on her kidneys as they’ve been painful to the touch recently and it’s really worrying her and a friend of mine has just been blackmailed into resigning by his boss who threatened to fire him without a reference if he didn’t hand in his resignation which also means he loses his commission payment which was due in a few days.

As far as training is going, it all seems to be going well, I’m up to 207lbs but managed to do my first set of 10 BW pull ups ever today so I’m feeling pretty good about that.
I’m definitely gaining muscle but the weight gain has placed a few lbs of fat back on the waist so I need to be careful. So long as I can comfortably fit in the 34” waist jeans I’ll be happy

Tomorrow I'll be getting up early to kill my quads before work
 
sorry to hear about the girlfriend,...hope it turns out to be nothing.

Congrats on the pullups man...it must take some strength to lift those legs:D
 
I should really start up the log again, it was a lower push day today, spent most of my time in the smith machine though (was at the gym that doesn’t have a squat rack)

3x10@ 211 – New PB for this by a mile compared with a couple of months back, I’m making a lot of progress on getting past my hamstring injury

3x20@ 409 (roughly, done on seated leg press)

Leg press
Assorted reps @ about 392 to drain my quads

I’m up to about 210lbs now and still at about 20% BF so making good progress, have cut all carbs out of my diet for a while so weight could jump up once I’m ready to bulk fully again. Will be waiting until I’m about 210lbs @ 15% and then I’ll look at posting more progress pics
 
I'm OK right now, squats get me the next day, it's legs extensions that have me falling over while trying to walk out of the gym :)

Your legs are getting wicked strong! We need some progress pic to see if they're getting big aswell!

But ***** your actually a squatting beast. I mean 1x15 @ 308 after all that!

I convert to Lbs, haha, if that were in KG I'd need to get a couple of fat girls to sit on the weight rack :)

I should have got that.. lol, as I read the 300 squats as lbs without thinking about it :p

Why are you converting? I thought we agreed that KGs are much more hardcore, mainly because of the letter K :p

211lbs ham curls is still a lot, though. almost 100kg.

I started doing that as people on here didn't understand KG's. Also, Tony is a soft yank and he was my trainer back then so I just learn to adapt.

I'm awful at maths but can't be beaten on my 2.2 multiplication tables
 
I really want to do BW ham raises. Like, with the heels wedges under something, lying on the floor, and rising the body up with the hams. I think I'm gonna start doing those eccentric (probably can't get even one concentric)

I saw those on T-Nation a while ago, I don't think I did them in the end as my sofa wasn't heavy enough to hold my weight and I didn't want to try them for the first time in the gym in case I did something amazingly stupid like fall flat on my face.

I have a new sofa now so I'll try again tonight :)

But the sofa is from Ikea so probably light as a feather, cheap Scandinavian crap ;)
 
Just get your your woman to sit on the couch, that should keep it down.

No pun intended actually, though I realize that the sentence above can be seen as a major pun towards your woman.

Not the best training today, still suffering a bit from tendonitis in my right shoulder, although it is improving a lot

I just did
3x10 Lat pull down
3x10 Seated row
3x10 Hammer curls
3x15 Shrugs
3x12 OH press (behind head)

I know the OH press looks a little out of place but I still can’t do side raises because of the tendonitis and wanted something to hit my shoulders
