She is amazing, and started out with just a few dollars, and not enough to buy what she needed. She is still in the beginning phases of her business, but she is slammed, and people keep coming back. Hi! I don't get to read to many other journals, but I enjoyed yours. Mostly because you aren't insanely strict with yourself and you don't feel guilty for indulging a little now and then.

It's similar to what I am trying to do. I hope we both has success with it.

I love Coke . .and Reese's. . .and I've tried to cut them out completely. Then I'll cave and have one . .then spend hours regretting it. NO MORE!!
 
Don't regret it! Just write it down and move on.

The last few days have been not so good food wise, although yesterday I did manage to stay inside my calorie range. We'll see about today.

Today, so far, I've had:

Apple Cinnamon Cheerios (1 cup) and 1 cup of milk.
A Personal size pizza with ham and pepperoni (not 1 full serving of either) and part skim mozzarella cheese.
I'm making a honey baked ham and mashed potatoes, hominy casserole, and biscuits for supper.

So far I've managed to only have 1 cookie, and that wasn't as good as it looked, so I didn't have any more.

Just found out that my aunt had recently been diagnosed with diabetes and decided she didn't want to take any medications for it and was tired of taking blood pressure meds, too, so she lost 65 pounds and apparently looks fantastic and is not on any meds anymore! So if she can do it at 41 or so, I can do it at 29.

That is great!! It's nice to hear that it can be done! If she can do it, so can you. And by doing it early, you'll avoid having to deal with it all together.

I, too, had a little too much to eat. My father deep fried a turkey and some onion rings . .*drool* . .but since I've been eating less and better, my stomach instantly rebelled to the grease!

Tomorrow is another day!!

Thanks! I seem to do better with flowers than with people. :rolleyes: I took pictures of my hubby and the boys yesterday for his parent's christmas gift. That was like pulling teeth. Jeesh! You'd have thought it was painful!

Good attitude! I've always heard about fried turkeys, but never had one. Some day I'll try one. Hope it was good and you enjoyed it!

Actually, I did pretty good yesterday calorie wise. I think maybe when I put it all into Spark I misjudged my portion size, because I know there's no way I could actually be UNDER my calorie range.:eek:

The gym was closed yesterday, which was my normal workout day, and I promised the in-laws I would come straight home from work today, but I'll be going to the gym tomorrow, and then again on Thursday, probably twice. One of the girls at work and I decided we're going to take the strip-tease cardio class they offer Thursday night before I come to work. That ought to be fun!:p

Ok, today. So far:
1 cup of Apple Cinnamon Cheerios and 1 cup 2% milk.
5oz cup of Diet Pepsi so that I could take my morning meds.
I have a WW Salisbury Steak for lunch, along with an apple and some grapes for snacks, and a 100 Calorie pack of snack chips. I don't plan on eating ALL of that, but it's there if I get munchy. Beats the gigantic chocolate bar a friend put in my mailbox over the weekend.:rolleyes:
Tonight is a bbq beef recipe I found on Recipezaar. Don't know what sides I'm making with that yet. Maybe a few french fries.

Alive and kickin'. Tired as all get out, but I think that's from having too many people at my house still and not getting enough quality sleep last night. Oh well. Tomorrow will be better. Thanks for checkin' on me!

Can't wait until 2:30 comes around so I can go home! Got stuff to do at home, and just in general don't want to be at work anymore.
 
Ok, time to get caught up. With the in-laws here (STILL), I haven't really had a chance to sit down and be on the computer much.

I love my in-laws. I do. They're very nice people. They really are. However, they're very bad influences. They hadn't been in the door 2 hours when I made it clear to his mom that I was attempting to loose weight and was being careful about what I ate. What's the first thing they want to do? Chili cheese coneys at Sonic. Aargh. Oh well. Survived that, moved on.

Christmas was fine - I cooked, so I could control what was used to cook with and how much I ate.

Everyday since then has been ok food wise. The gym was closed on Monday for the holiday, so I didn't get to go on my normal day then, but went on Wednesday after work and snuck out this morning before anybody had the chance to be up and moving too much and could stop me. I'll go again on Saturday after I leave work at 6:30am, and by the time I get home, everybody will be gone and we'll have our house back! *does a happy dance*

The hubby listened to me this year (and I quit hinting and when he asked what I wanted flat out told him LOL) and got me an MP3 player (with FM tuner) so now I can listen to what I choose to listen to at the gym instead of whatever radio station I can sorta tune in or whatever they're playing. Once I figured out how to use it, it's pretty cool!

Back into the regular routine starting today, though. Gym on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday morning (and now thursday evening for a cardio strip-tease class that sounds like fun) and Saturday's after work.

I do wonder, though. Thursdays are my regular weigh in days. I went earlier than normal this morning, because I knew if I waited until my normal time to get up, I'd never make it out the door. But when I weighed in when I first got there (with nothing to eat or drink yet), it said 201.5 - which would be great, as it's 5.5 pounds down from last Thursday morning. However, after my 30 minutes of cardio (which was all I did since I knew they were waiting on me so that they could go take a tour of the Hoover Dam) and half a liter of water, when I stepped on the scale, it said 206. That would be 1 pound down from last week. So which should I believe? I weighed the half bottle of water, just out of curiosity, and it weighed 5 pounds, so that might explain the extra 5 pounds, but I don't know, I guess I'm just confused.

Help!! LOL
 
Personally, I'd take the first weight, and make it your "rule" not to weigh yourself after working out. You're off to a great start, don't stop!!!

Normally that's what I do, is just weigh Thursday morning before I do anything, except go potty. I'll take the extra 5.5 pounds! LOL. Just thought it was odd.
 
So I came home from work this morning and went straight to bed. Haven't done a thing since. But I go back to work tonight, so it's ok.

For breakfast (at work) I had a Lean Pockets Chicken and Cheese Quesadea (280 cal)
Small iceburg salad with cheese and regular ranch - the hospital doesn't have light or ff ranch so I need to start taking my own...(198 cal)
Bottle of regular coke.
For lunch (after I woke up at 3:30pm) I had about a cup and a half of mashed potatoes with brown gravy.
So far today I've had about 7 glasses of water. I'll have more as the day goes on once I get to work. The way the air flows in the room I'll be working in tonight dries me out so bad it's not even funny. Just can't get enough water on those nights.

I'll hit the gym on the way home tomorrow morning for 30 minutes of cardio and 30 -60 minutes of strength training.

Wow you are doing grea only 2 lbs away from 199!!!
Congrats on the 5.5 lb loss very very awesome considering the freaking holidays.I had no realatives stay but we went to everyones house and everything besides the turkey was unhealthy so I ate poory(knew I would)but I did stick with my day after plan!!
