Txturtlegirl's Diary

I really only seem to have mood issues while on birth control. Very odd. And he only put me on them again because when I was loosing weight regularly, I was having 2 periods a month. I won't be 30 until October - I'm too young for that crap. If things don't straighten out in the next month or so, I'll call him and see what he can suggest, though.

Gotta find a new way to deal with weekends. Saturdays, I don't seem to each much because I sleep through half the day, but Sunday, the kitchen is there and available. It's a scary place. Work days aren't so bad because I can pack breakfast and lunch and stick to those, and then just have to deal with making supper for everybody. Just not in the least sure how to deal with the weekends anymore. Any suggestions?

So far today:

1 cup 2% milk - 122 cal
1 cup cheerios - 111 cal
1 packet sweet n low - 0 cal

Seriously considering going to the gym.

I'm sorry about the PMS I guess those pills don't totally flatten out all the hormone levels - just adjust some of them to a degree?

The gym or a walk would both be good moves - the kitchen is usually less scary after a whole bunch of exercise. :)

I haven't been to the gym in probably 2 months. THAT in and of itself is kinda scary. But, it's ok. I'll get in there and have to start over on all my cardio stuff, but I'll get back to where I was. No worries. I think.

so sundays are your week spot. i was having similar problem..having family lunch and all. what helped me is that i started treating it like any other week day. i don't consider weekends to be anything "special" food wise anymore. plan your sunday to be more about lets say walks or something like that.

You may find that just the sense of being back in the familiar place reminds you of some of the things you liked about being there. I hope you have fun. :)

Did go to the gym, and was pleased to find that I hadn't lost all of my endurance when it came to cardio. However, by the end of 45 minutes, I did feel very :drooling: LOL. Ah, well. I did 30 minutes on the eliptical and 15 on the exercise bike, then did crunches, bicep curls, tricep (? the muscle on the back of the upper arm) push things, and another one for those. The place was crowded for some reason and I couldn't get to the leg machines, so I called it a day. Figured I didn't want to over do anything on the first day back, and I was starving, figured the kid at home was, too. So, came home and we went out to lunch. And really, all told, even with a small chocolate Arby's milkshake :eek2: I still stayed within my calorie range or the day!

Totals for the day:

Calories: 1513 (goal 1200-1550)
Carbs: 194 (goal 163 - 236)
Fat: 52 (goal 32 - 56) - barely eeked that one in there!
Protein: 76 (goal 60 - 127)

I was considering having some low cal icecream, but there's not really room. So, I think I'll just brush my teeth and get in the shower.:)

Good for you for going to the gym, and for staying within your calorie goals even after you had the milk shake. That is what i do a lot, eat unhealthy foods... yet keep myself within restrictions. I do it far too often though. Keep up the work!

Really, the milkshake (and a few french fries with my sandwhich at lunch) was the only questionable thing I had today. The sandwhich was a french dip roast beef, and supper were homemade tacos with the hard corn shells that I just microwaved to warm them up, FF sour cream, extra lean ground beef (although usually I use ground turkey - the beef was on sale), and a little bit of cheese. Only one, since I was hungry, but not THAT hungry.

I consider it a major victory that the milkshake was a small and not a large. :D

Howdy long time no see.Looks like your getting back on
track and your making great choices.Keep up the hard
work and you'll be at goal in no time.Tammy

Wow, days sure get away from you when you sleep through them because of work.

Haven't done horribly, but haven't done well, either. Oh well. Today is a new day, and haven't even had breakfast yet, so we can start over and be ok. Did go to the gym yesterday for a bit.

ok...you fell out now hop back on :D and stay focused. great you went to the gym. come on you can do this! i believe in you :D
hugs,
Lena

haha i'd love to :D what helped me when i got a bit off track was making a promise to Kim (Miss Lovebug) that i will do my best and stay focused. it was also a promise to myself but making a promise to someone else really made a difference for me.
so let me put a challenge in front of you. promise me that you will do your best to stay focused for at least two weeks by working out and eating what you planned, and i promise i will workout more for the next two weeks. there :) think about it. you don't have to give me the details what you did and when, just do it. you will know whether you kept the promise or not :)
