txsqlchick's diary

At the happy hour I had a BLT on buttery toasty bread and some french fries. And it was gooooooooooooooooooooood.

I was good the rest of the weekend and ended up at 172.2 this morning.

I also took Sunday off from working out; I don't know what I did between Thursday and Sunday to make my hamstrings so sore, but they were...and still are a little bit...so I figure I'd give my tired muscles a chance to rest.

This happy hour that I went to was with a meetup.com group and some of them had not seen me since January; got lots of squeals of "Oh my god, you look great!" I love those. :coolgleamA:

I also went clothes shopping yesterday. The mall was REALLY crowded (what recession??) so I had to park on the top floor of the parking garage. 4 floors up. Took the stairs all the way down, mostly because I don't know where the elevators are but also because it never killed anyone to take the stairs. The store I wanted to go to (Old Navy) was on the 3rd floor of the mall, so I took the stairs all the way up. I was the only person on the staircase walking UP. Everyone else was walking DOWN. I tried on half the store at Old Navy but ended up buying only a cardigan.

Then I went down one floor to The Gap. The Galleria is fantastic in that Old Navy, The Gap, and Banana Republic are all in the same spot on the 3rd, 2nd, and 1st floors; so if you want to hit all three, it's really easy. Sadly, J. Crew is way on the other end of the mall...so I didn't even go there. They're kind of expensive anyway. So at The Gap all they had were form-fitting camis to be worn underneath tissue-thin sweaters and cardigans. Apparently, you are SUPPOSED to layer your clothing. So I was like "OK, I'll play along" and found some cute camis (size L, not XL) and a cute long-sleeved t-shirt and a cute sweater to wear over those camis. Very daring colors and styles for me.

And on the way back out to the car, I took the stairs all the way up to the 4th floor and was pleasantly surprised that I was not breathing hard once I reached the top.

All in all a good weekend.

My exact words when I went to the grocery store yesterday and there was some little kid behind me that kept repeating "it's too crowded daddy, why'd we have to go somewhere so crowded?" lol

Great job with the stairs, I wanna be like you when I grow up lol. I work on the 3rd floor and started taking the stairs yesterday....I probably only come up once or twice though......small steps!

hey! i found your diary! wow, your progress is crazy!! It's so simple, but shoot, that's how it works!

Could you write out a daily diet? I'm extremely curious, how you continually lose 1-2 pounds a week..without even a long plateau! What's the exercise like??

Wow!! That's FANTASTIC!!! I'm so jealous! ;)
:) Way to go!

You're doing so well! :D

Keep it up!

A new development in my life...I have stopped looking for a relationship. I have given up. At least I won't be wasting $50 a month on eHarmony anymore. Also cancelled my Ancestry.com subscription; I'm really pissed that they automatically renewed it and kept charging me despite me buying a THREE MONTH MEMBERSHIP. Buttholes. That's another $30 a month I'll be saving.

It's usually when you STOP looking that you'll find a great person. And I say this from experience, I had at least 4-6 dating accts lol. Met my BF at work and we've been together for over a year now.

Oh I'm way past that...I am not looking for a man, don't want one now.

lol...I know you feel that you dont want one...but what I was saying was that, it's when you feel like that, that you just happen to meet a great person, without intentions of dating, but things grow and poof before you know it, you're in love...well thats imo.

I don't believe it will ever happen for me. Thanks though.

Ok, I understand how you feel, I've been there...and all though I'm not trying to change your mind.....I'm gonna mark your words! lol So I can do the told'ya so dance.

The men who hit on me are either repulsive or completely unsuitable. I attract men that I would never date on a bet and the ones I would like to date ignore me. So I'm not bothering.

When I started this journey I set up 9 mini-goals for myself aside from my main goal of reaching 150 lbs (overall loss of 106.6 lbs).

Here's how those mini-goals have gone:

# Mini Goal #1: 5% starting weight loss - ACHIEVED 08/03/2008
# Mini Goal #2: 10% starting weight loss - ACHIEVED 09/12/2008
# Mini Goal #3: 15% starting weight loss - ACHIEVED 10/11/2008
# Mini Goal #4: 20% starting weight loss - ACHIEVED 11/16/2008
# Mini Goal #5: Below 200 lbs - ACHIEVED 12/09/2008
# Mini Goal #6: 25% starting weight loss - ACHIEVED 01/05/2009
# Mini Goal #7: 30% starting weight loss - ACHIEVED 02/19/2009
# Mini Goal #8: 35% starting weight loss - ACHIEVED 04/03/2009
# Mini Goal #9: 40% starting weight loss
# GOAL: 42% starting weight loss

As of this morning I'm now working on mini-goal #9. Never thought I'd get here in a million years. I knew I wanted to lose this weight but I never thought I'd actually be saying the words "Yeah, I've lost 90 pounds already, only 16-17 more to go!"

It's freaking sweet, lemme tell you.

OK, I'm feeling nervy enough to post a shot of my face here. It's not a full body shot, just the shoulders and the face.

My 23 year-old cousin got engaged to a dumb boring redneck over the weekend and has been waving her rock in everyone's face.

I can't be happ y for her. Not at all. I can't be happy for anyone until I have someone too.

I guess that makes me a selfish bitch, but there you go.
