Wow...you are doing so great! I've come back and seen everyone doin so good and it's encouraging :) So gotten any really cute new clothes yet?

Wow! You are making AMAZING progress!
:hurray::hurray:
:D That makes me happy.
What's your routine like, and what are you doing about the holidays?
I feel kind of... okay, very... tempted to forgo the food entirely and eat nothing but chocolate, marshmallows, and candy canes until the new year. :ack2:
haha...
Keep up the good work! YOU'RE ACTUALLY DOING IT!!
:cheers2:

I'm wearing a pair of (loose) size 14s at the moment. :coolgleamA: My friends are convinced that my scale is broken, but I'm not so sure. I think it's pretty accurate.

It's been so bitterly cold and I've been so busy that I haven't been going to the gym as often, but I have been trying to make up for it by doing videos at home and doing heavy-duty housework like cleaning windows, sweeping, mopping, etc. to get my heart rate up. So far it seems to be working. :sifone:

Over the Christmas holidays I barely lost any weight and thought I might be stuck in a plateau, but after a VERY well-behaved weekend I am down to 192 lbs.

Onwards and upwards.

Hey txs :) I thought I'd come by to catch up but I figured out you're way more detailed in your blog than here. Wow did I have alot of catchin up to do, lol. So did you ever end up buying yourself a onederland present? I'm really glad your b/p improved so much, that's awesome. Have you had it checked again at all recently? And I think you're goal for your birthday is completely doable and I bet you'll get there way before then at the rate you're going. Wish you'd post progress pics but I understand you not being comfortable. I work this weekend but hopefully I can catch up with you again later this week :)

Thanks jello...I've also been really busy at work so I haven't been posting here as much.

I did buy myself a Onederland present and my weight loss promptly slowed down! Maybe I jinxed myself, hahahaha! I'm back on track now though and ahead of "schedule" to reach my goal by July.

Seeing all your progress is really encouraging. But on the other hand it makes me want to slap myself for all the progress I could have been making, lol. Guess it's time for me to stop makin excuses and get on it! Have a good weekend :)

The important thing is you're back on the wagon.

Nice, your doing great! The HIIT stuff is killer, but I find it kills my abaility to run the next day so I dropped it. I've been trying to run 5 miles a day at lunch, and then hit the gym later at night so I figure I've got enough pain in teh day without HIIT.
Bad thing is my daughter is taking a cooking class and there on deserts so she's been making some really good stuff in the kitchen. Not good for the weight loss...:)
Keep up the fantastic work!

I'm trying, but I've plateau'd again. I've got some good advice that I'm following...will let y'all know in a week or so what's happening.

I'm really curious about something...

Back in July.. you made a comment here:
http://weight-loss.fitness.com/surgical-weight-loss/23783-how-pay-lap-band-when-insurance-wont.html

that you felt like a dog that got smacked with a rolled up newspaper... :D

over the past 6 months, you've made incredible strides with your progress and building new habits... purely on your own -and listening to your body... Do you think you'd be in a different place now, had you gotten the surgery you had originally asked about?

and if you want to just ignore me that's fine... it's really just curiosity about the road not taken with people....

You're doing things because you want to do them - rather than have to do them because if you don't your body will ahve some sort of adverse reaction...

Hang in there :) I was reading all that workout stuff you're doing and DAMN...this plateau has no choice but to move along soon. Anyways my advice for what it's worth would be to lock the scale away for a while and just do what you're doing and ignore the numbers. I say this because that's my future plan when this happens again to me. I always manage to let plateaus derail me though even when I've lost alot of weight. Anyway you're doing great and you KNOW you are so just keep on truckin :)

2 more pounds? GO YOU! And you're gettin SO close! I wonder what it's like to have a wardrobe in one size of clothing that fits and know you can wear everything until it goes out of style...you'll have to let me know cuz you're going to get there before me, lol.

Hehe, will do.

Right now I'm still getting through the unpleasant side effects of spironolactone; I've stopped retaining water badly (though I'm still a little bloated) and I've been constipated for over a week now. Ugh, I hate this pill! I take it to prevent acne; next time I go to the dermatologist I'm going to ask her to put me on something different.

People at work keep coming by my desk wanting advice. It's kind of weird to be an inspiration to other people; I feel like sometimes they are disappointed with my answers to their questions, like they are expecting me to give them some magic potion. Nope, healthy living. Healthy eating + plenty of exercise + discipline. Simple formula.

I haven't lost anywhere near as much as you but I've had a few co-workers ask me the same thing. Soon as they hear they have to keep track of how much they're eating somehow they stop though, lol. Oh well maybe when I've lost alot more I'll be more inspiring.
