Tsunami Tracking- A weightloss blog of epic proportion

food

When I eat, I don't do anything else and I sit at the table. The tv is off. This helps me realize that I have had a real meal or snack. When I'm on the computer I'm busy thinking and writing and maybe sipping on water. I'm new to using pcs in general and I was glad to find something other than tv, where my real temptation to snack lies. So the computer is an activity other than eating that we can do. If you must, make them healthy snacks like raw carrots or sip nice cold water?

fooood---> fried egg on two slices of 12 grain bread with ketchup. ^^ Not the healthiest but still gooood.

exercise: none yet. but perhaps later.

Supper stats:

well I haven't really done much today in the exercise or eating portion. Though I have the weights I got the other day from my parents place so I'm going to do a sort of in-door workout with those and the stuff around my apartment and perhaps walking the stairwell a few times. :p

food: I just made myself a tofu veggie stir0fry.

1/2 cup of brown rice, 1 cup of mixed veggies, about 1/2 cup of tofu.

Stats for: Friday 9th/2007

Breakfast: 1 everything bagel toasted with butter and cheddar, can of diet coke ( too lazy to make anything)

Exercise: 30 minute walk to doctors

Lunch: 1 slice of med. Veggie pizza

exercise: running around at work busy for 3 hours

supper: 1 6 inch veggie sub with light mayo, two cookies, bottle of water

exercise: 15 minute walk to and from the grocery store, plus about 30 minutes of walking around the store.

-----------------------------------

I think I did very well today! I didn't gorge on anything and when I went grocery shopping I didn't buy any junk food whatsoever. No pop, chips, pasteries, et caetera...

I even purposely went into every aisle and looked at everything and didn't even feel temped to buy anything. ^_^ Now I'm going out to buy two magazines. So thats about another 15 minute walk.

more to add:

snacks: 1 banana and 2 handfuls of a trail mix that is made up of raisins and dried cranberries with sunflower seeds and some peanuts.

water intake: TONS! at least 60 oz

Stats for: Saturday 10th,2007

Breakfast: 2/3 cup of cereal + 1/2 cup of soy milk, 1 tangerine

Exercise: 30 minute walk to work, uphill and in almost knee-high snow

Snack: 1 banana, 1 tangerine

exercise 2: In total, my whole work shift minus 1/2 hour sitting down to eat. was about 5 hours of walking around and working hard ^_^

Lunch: 1 small mug of cream of broccoli soup, 1 6-inch veggie sub with lots of veggies and a lot less sauces than normal.

Supper: 2 slices of veggie lasagna, medium serving of salad with light caesar dressing, 1 medium slice of cherry pie

Extras: Tea with a milk, 1 coffee cake puff ( about the size of a mini cupcake), 1 lindor chocolate

-------------------------

I thought Saturday went well because I spaced out all my meals and made them very light. The tea was about 2.5 hours before supper. then after supper I didn't eat anymore.

I will be walking up to the mall i a little bit to buy something for exercise... Might be a weighted jump rope or a stability ball. That is approx. a 30-45 minute walk uphill. Then I'll be going to work... but I'll put that into my later update tonight.

Later Update:

Exercise: + 15 minues to that 45 min walk to the mall then work. Then about 2 hours of actually working ( the rest was sitting)

Lunch: 1/2 plate of tofu yakisoba* , 1 V8
* this usually is a large plate but I bought one and split it with my boyfriend to stop myself from gorging ( and to save a little money ;) )

Supper: 1 6inch veggie sub, 1 small garden salad, 3 medium cookies

Exercise: 25 minute walk home

Snacks: 1 banana , 1 tangerine

** Water intake: around 3 bottles of water

------------ Indulgances: about 12 thin slices of swiss cheese ( argh! bad. But not too bad considering how good I was today. :) )

----------------------------------------------

I bought a jump rope at the mall today, so I can skip in the morning and evening. I think I'll do it to music...sort of like a workout.

1 song- skip rope
next song- do stretches or something
3rd song- rest

and do that twice at first, then move up each week.

That will be good along with my (at least) 1 hour of walking each day. ( could be more depending on whether I work or am going somewhere)

Exercise: not much today aside from walking around school and a bit of rope jumping this morning. Today was not a good day, too much drama in the morning that wrecked that. But tomorrow will be much better! :D

Sorry about being MIA, I've been sick these past few days and way to busy to visit. Food did well on those days, didn't gorge. But exercise failed misrebly.

Oh well, on to today:

Breakfast:

1 bowl of cereal, 1/2 cup of milk, 1 tangerine

exercise: 1/2 hour walk to school.

ok, This is so amazing!

Guess what my boyfriend and I have decided to do the summer after this coming summer. Go on, guess!

We have decided to cycle across Canada! :D Isn't that awesome! We decided to do it the summer of '08 because we want this year to train for it. I know that I can do it and now I have a huge motivation to do it! I dfind this idea to be so exciting, and my boyfriend said that even if we don't decided to go through with the cycling part we could still be satisfied with how inshape we got for it. :)

So today we are coming up with a health guidline for the both of us and making some decisions about mini goals along the way. Plus to think about setting up appointments to talk to our doctors before the departure.

*is excited*
I'll do food updates starting tomorrow. ^^

WOW! What an idea! Sounds like a lot of fun.

I think having a goal to work towards is EXTREMELY helpful. (My sister signed us up for the half marathon at Walt Disney World next January.. no way I could do it now, but by then I will be able to!)

GOOD LUCK!

Thats cool!

I've decided not to make this journal a food journal. but rather to write down how I'm feeling and the progress of the training. We are starting out slow for this, so for the next month it will basically just be getting into a diet plan and slowly moving into exercise.
