Trying to build a better body

Perhaps we can find someone with a boat and go for a sail!!! Or charter one, take some wine out on the ocean, some friends. That would be great!! How's the wind down that way?

Sailing is great year round down here.. and you can't beat the weather! Are you planning a trip??

Well.. accomplished my 2nd day of my new workout routine.. walked out of the gym hurting (in a good way), sore and completely worn out.. but it felt soooooo good!! :D

I am rotating my routines so each part gets it's fair share over the week. By the time I get on the elliptical machine.. I am worn out.. and then I think.. damn, I still have legs to do after this!! Maybe it's too much, maybe not.. but, I'm going ot stick with this for about 3 more weeks and then start to cut up.

Hope this finds everyone in good health and spirits!! Have a great Thursday! :)

Bruce

Hi Bruce. I'm already anxious to get back in the gym, reading about your routine. But I'm forcing myself to take a much needed rest. It's like sitting on the bench, watching the game go by. . .

Hey Tom! I know exactly what you mean! Going to the gym has not only become a routine itself, but I seem to go through withdrawls when I am forced to miss it for one reason or another.

This routine is intense.. might be too intense but I'll stick it out for the next 3 weeks or so and then take a break and get into a cutting up stage. Just need to find a good routine for that now! :) Know of any??

Have a good one and enjoy the rest. you'll need it for your next stage!! :D

Hey, found your diary! Thanks for dropping by mine. I appreciate the support from every single person that stops by on my diary :)

I hope to get to the point where I have withdrawls from not exercising :p I mean I feel bad when I don't, but I can live with it, lol.

I'm in the process, as you know from my diary, of buying a bike and biking to work, and I also walk during my lunch hour. I am restarting my cardio kickboxing on monday because I think I'm healed enough from my surgery. So hopefully with all that I'll break my plateau and get addicted to exercise, lol.

Anyways, have a great day!

Hey Risty.. thanks for stopping by diary! :) I really believe that once you get hooked on exercise, it becomes an addiction of sorts. Although I am down to the weight I want to be at, I am no where close to where I want to be physically. So, there is much work to be done. Little chuncks at a time and keep going. I hope the bicycling, walks and your kickboxing knock you off your plateau soon and you get to where you want to be. You've done great so far.. keep it going!! :D

Hey, thanks :) I get to pick up my bike in 20 mins, woo! I won't bike to work today because I need to figure out the best route, so maybe tomorrow, if not definately on monday!

I'm glad you've reached your goal weight, but I can understand how you're not where you want to be physically. I have a goal weight but I want to be fit and toned, and I'm so not near that. However, I'll take little steps at a time to lose my fat and gain muscle and become more fit :)

What are your fitness goals now?

What are your fitness goals now?

For me, I want to bulk up a little.. gain some muscle mass but I don't want to get too huge. I play a lot of softball so, getting too light affects the way I hit, gaining too much weight on affects the way I run. So, I am finding my way to a happy medium where I can still have my speed and I can hit the ball a country mile.

Right now, is my bulking phase and in about 3 weeks or so I will hit the cutting up phase!

Glad to hear you got your bike and will start using it! Ride safe!

Where abouts in BC are you? Been to Victoria numerous times and Vancouver a couple times too.

The Cutting phase, OH YEAH!! That's the best part I think. My hubby is a tiny framed man, but he's cut in all the right spots. I'm sure Beth will agree with me on this, you don't have to be a huge gorilla man to look cut or nice. I saw your last set of pics and you were getting a lot of definition at that time, I'm sure in a few more months and with your work outs, you'll be looking like a mean machine!! :) GO BRUCE, GO BRUCE!!!

Yeah Friday!!! :D Finally!!! This short-ass'd week seems to be be way too long!

Day 3 (Friday routine) in the gym this afternoon. I can't wait to get in there and get going.. seriously, I think this is an addiction of sorts! But, I love the way I feel when I walk out.. guess that's what counts.. oh, and Beth likes the results too! ;)

I am re-thinking my Saturday routine mainly because I don't think my body can take this work out 2 days in a row. Thinking I might use my Saturday's to increase my cardio workout and decrease my lifting. Maybe 2 exercises, 2 sets, 4-6 reps of a moderate weight instead. Anyone have a thought on that?

Thinking about snapping a couple pics this weekend just to see the progress since the last set (2 weeks ago). If I like the results, I'll post them on Monday.

Hope everyone has a nice and relaxing weeeknd!! :)

Thanks for your support KIm.. it means alot! I am my own worst critic at times! :)

Although I'm lazier these days, I used to do Tae Kickboxing (real tae kickboxing). Mauy Tae instructors work you like a crazy fool, but you get ripped and lose weight. I couldn't even keep the weight I wanted, so I had to get on weight gainer.

I thought about that.. something different yet intense. Might have to check into those classes. Thanks Jason!
