Trusylver's Diary

oh yeah - the heat definately affects how much I eat too... well, cold does as well!!! I was freezing today, and it totally shows in my food purchases - a loaf of fresh bread, items to make chicken noodle soup, and pumpkin bread! too many carbs! ahh - i think my body is trying to go into hibernation =)

Morning Darlin just had to come and see how you are doing. Hope you had a good weekend and an even better day today!!!!

Finished monday with more orange juice and a salad.

Tuesday

600 mil orange juice
tuna

Cricket training

chicken drumsticks

muscles were a bit stiff after mondays workout.

Today

my muscles have recovered ready for the gym again this morning, I am beginning to see a difference in my tricep muscle size :)

but the fat around my middle is awfully stubborn.

Had a good workout at the gym and my trainer is going to change my program next week

finally increased standing leg curls to 5 kg :D
and ready to push my leg press up to 100 kg (220 pounds) on friday.

went shopping

drank a double chocolate thickshake with malt (very yummy but not good for the weight loss) I don't even want to find out how many calories.

Yesterday evening i ate a salad with a small serving of beef.

Today I went food shopping with lots of healthy choices, the kids had a special request for tim tams so the little chocolate beasties are now sitting in the cupboard calling out to me.

after shopping ate 1 small slice of cheesecake 500 calories

arived home still hungry ate some chicken salad 250 calories
and a can of tuna

it is overcast and humid today but not as hot as yesterday.

time now for some exercise before getting some work done.

The weekend was hectic and i didn't bother recording what i ate but it wasn't much

Yesterday (Monday)

take kids to school
Gym
drank energy drink
work
pick kids up

Drive to Toastmasters meeting (ate 3 yummy pikelets with fresh cream and jam) and listened to some great speaches, word of the day was grippe which is a little hard to fit into an impromptu round robbin speach but achieved it successfully :D

drive home getting back at about 10 pm, eat a couple of tim tams :(

flop into bed

Today my muscles are feeling relaxed i thing i might get an extra gym session in today and check out my new program.

Cheers

So funny to hear about different food in different countries thinking what the heck is that.A pickelet with fresh cream and jam? You lost me there...LOL. Anyway sweetie hope you have a good one today you will have to let me know just what that is.

A pikelet is like a small pancake about the diameter of a cup.

Yesterday

Went to the gym for an extra workout and recieved my new program. I didn't know there were so many different ways to do squats  my new program contains a 10 min warmup on the stationary bike followed by squats, hack squats, squat rows, deadlifts, lat pulldowns, tricep pulldowns, shoulder press, crunches and hovers.

drank an energy drink and a litre of water

get some work done (Might start a weight loss / bodybuilding webpage next)

early supper (chicken salad roll)

went out to watch the kids school christmas concert

the pre-school kids were cute singing "I'm a Veggie Eater" (set to the music of I'm a believer by the monkeys)

My youngest sons class sang "I can sing a rainbow" and "Santa Claus is coming to town"

My middle sons class sang "Once an Austrian" and "All i want for christmas is my two front teeth"

My eldest sons class sang "Puppet on a string"

Today I have been into the gym and eaten a salad and a yoghurt.

Cheers

Looks like a good plan Hon. You are doing awesome. Are you sore from all the squats? I know I would be. Looking good as usual. Thanx for explaining what a pikelet is. sounds yummy. Hope you have a good day today Hon.

It's 6:30 am now, finished yesterday by eating some steak and kidney for supper

tody is a planned rest day from exercise but will still get on the stationary bike to loosen up some of my stiff muscles from yesterdays heavy gym workout, i think my new workout has given my muscles the kick the needed.

i have 6 weeks on this program before it gets changed again

when working out in the gym you should change your workout at least every 6 week otherwise your body gets used to the same workout all the time and it becomes less effective.

kids have just woken up so will report in again a bit later.

Cheers

I didn't know that about switching up workouts... I may have to try that... although I also haven't been going regularly. I hit the gym maybe twice a week... although my goal is to start going three times a week... It will be so tough when i'm home for the holidays... no weights to use there =(

You look like you're doing great sweetie!! Keep up the good work!

amomono it is a pity not having weights at home but you could try using household items, perhaps bags of potatoes (they come in convenient weight sizes) :D

spent an hour on the bike today and my muscles feel like they have recovered enough for another heavy workout tomorrow

todays food total was 1440 calories ( 3 tins of tuna, 1 energy drink, 1 icecream, 1 cup of soup with protien powder added)

protein 116.1 grams (still to low i need to be eating 147.4 grams)
Carbs 76.4 grams
Fat 74 grams (mostly good fats from the tuna 12.4 from the icecream)

my efforts in the gym have been with the aim of improving my rugby performance next winter but after comparing the weights i am training with to the weight lifted by female power lifters in my state i am considering taking up powerlifting as a sport :D because i have the perfect short compact build for it with a lot of strength.

Cheers

Hey Sweetie your food is looking good and way to go with the excercise. You will be fit for rugby in no time. Keep up the excellent work. You are doing truly amazing.

Hey there honey - you, me, and the other Candy Canes are going to KICK BUTT!!!

That's really cool about thinking about power lifting =) good luck with that!!! it looks like your food is doing amazing =)

Bit of a rocky start to the day, fighting with the kids to get them to school on time, then into the gym (will report total exercise after this weeks mini challenge) time to drive home, lots of rain has caused water to cover the road in a couple of places and has turned my driveway into an impassible waterfall, and a small river in one section after the hail storm last night and solid heavy rain so far today. such is life in the sub tropical wet season

I hope we don't get much more today, I don't want to pick the kids up early from school because of flooding if i can help it.

have eaten 1 can of tuna today so far

Go CandyCanes

forgot to add that i am booked in to have my fitness assessment done on monday morning to find out what my bodyfat percentage is now

a photo i just got out of my camera of the sunset after the storm the other night
