Trusylver's Diary

Yesterday wasn't good food wise and the only exercise i got was climbing up and down a ladder while hubby and i tried to fix the gutters on the house.

Today was better, breakfast was 4 eggs then went into the gym and increased squats to 55kg (121 lb) the tuna for a post workout snack, Lunch was curry tuna and a snack this afternoon was an energy drink and some chilli tuna. not sure what tonights meal will be.

Thanks for the great support everybody.

Looks like you're doin' great! You fixed what you weren't happy with and are on the move again! LOL Keep it up :)

Wow Tru, 121lb squats. On a machine? That's amazing!! I'm not sure I could do that weight at this point. I used to be able to pull it out, but ooh. I dunno! :) Yay to us women with powerful legs ! I think that's so great!

You are really doing wonderful, esp. with all your training. I am envious I don't have some sport to play in and train with other people like that! I think it must keep you really motivated, and you seem to relaly enjoy playing the sport too. Keep up the great work! Its wonderful to have you as a team mate!

Newleaf, i don't use machines for most stuff i use free weights and the cable machine for a few exercizes. The squat is is just a standard bar squat going ass to the grass as they say.

when working out free weights work more muscles and have a better overall effect on fitness, machines are good for isolating muscles and for beginners to learn how to do each exercize with good form without injury.

Sport is a great motivator to always improve and do better so as not to let your team down which in a way is the same way the challenges on the forum work :D but i aslo enjoy individual sports with the challenge of competing against your own ability :D

hey tru, going great guns as usual..

i'd like to try a sport - haven't done any for years! trouble is i'm no good at them so i don't get picked for teams :D

i love skiing, shame its so darn expensive. oh well, i'll just keep going to the gym :)

Hey ya, Tru. Just checkin' in.... Where did you go to??? Hope all is well and you didn't go to the Land of the Lost :)

Thanks for checking up on me,

The forum has been a slow to load in the past few days so i didn't get much reading and posting done but back to normal now.

Spent the weekend lifting and carrying a huge piece of iron scafolding so hubby and i could go up and down to fix our gutters on the house, No gutters = No water

Just got back from the gym after a good workout, increased lunges with bicep curl and presto curls to 10 kg (22 lb) just 1 step away from no longer using the girly weights :D and last set of squats was increased to 60 kg (132 lb)

Ok i think i have just done the most embarasing thing i have ever done on the internet, I just entered a most improved bodybuilding comp on the internet by posting my pics, I usually run a mile just to get away from the camera but the pics should prove to be motivational

I now have till the 1st of may to improve this old fat body of mine :)

Congrats Tru!! that is so awesome!!! :) You have me revved up to hit the gym tomorrow morning.. thanks for the inspiration!! :)

ok yesterdays food

Breakfast: 1 egg
Snack: 1 packet of kettle chips (500 calories but they did taste good)
Lunch: peaches
Supper: Vegetable soup

Helped the kids start building their new tree house yesterday afternoon, my three boys all climb like monkeys and would live in the trees if they didn't need to come down to eat.

Today is a rest day from the exercize but i must do some cleaning :( and lawn mowing today and rugby training tonight.
