Trops Diary

Hey Trops... On the bright side, in addition to being beautiful, they can all do calve raises with a tank and they jump rope like world class boxers!!!! :D :biggrinjester:

My son is 7 and has the muscles just bulging everywhere. He's got that six pack that people die for. Those teen years are going to be fun for him and hell for me. :reddevil:

Same with my oldest son Trops! I know what you mean!! I'll have to have the "Every Sport has a Uniform" talk with him at an early age!!! J/K, I'm doing my best so he respects women and treats them well... let's hope hormones don't make him forget what he's being taught!! He's almost 7 now, will be in two months, so hopefully, that talk is 8-10 years away!!! ;) :D He eats like a damn horse, but I can see he's using all the calories to the max! EXPENSIVE, but good!

Hiya Trops :)

Looks like all is well with you on the exercise front. 6.2 miles is amazing. I gotta work back up to that, and I know I will. I want to get some new running shoes first though. I think the ones I currently have and have been using for the past few months are too small :(

My nettie pot isn't the squeezie kind. It's just a pot with a bunch of packets of a specific mixture that I put into it with some warm water and let run thru my sinuses... I'm still getting the hang of it, because it is draining into my throat a little bit, which is yucky... I've heard nettie pots are really good to have and can keep you healthy because of all the germs that get into your sinuses in the first place. We shall see. So far this sinus thing I got going hasn't let up too much yet. It's mostly just when I wake up, I feel like shit until I blow my nose and get everything outta there (gross I know)... Then for the rest of the day I feel alright. It's just making it hard for me to sleep for more than 6 hours at a time or so because everything settles in the back of my neck and gives me a wicked headache...

I really love the city here in Utah. I know it is very different from NYC but I love all the hustle and bustle of the downtown atomosphere we have here. I would probably live downtown if i could. Downtown SLC is actually a pretty cool place, despite what most outside of Utah think... jmo

Have an excellent day,
Sam:)

Last night I was alone and ended up not sleeping much at all. My wife stayed over in the city and the kids are with Grandma for last night and tonight. I have a habit of just not going to bed when my wife is away. 3:30 I made myself go to bed and decided that if I wanted to sleep in I would. 9:00 I got up all bright eyed and ready to go. Unfortunately I had plans to go to my brother's for 11 to see the new kid, and I had to get some things done before I went. I wanted to get a good lift in before because I knew that if I didn't I wouldn't be able to get it in at all today. I was able to squeeze in a short one, but I was not happy with the results. I just didn't have much gas in the tank and I had my eye on the clock. Finally I just gave in and left. On the JZ scale I would call it a 2 or 3. I'll have to do something here at work to make up for it. One good thing is I went for a max bench press of 235 and did it once. The second time I just couldn't get it without help from my spotter. Next time I'll have more gas and be able to do a couple.

Food so far today has not been good, but not in the usual way. All I've eaten is two bowls of cereal and a cup of coffee. I'm just not all that hungry now. My brother had bagels at his house, but I passed on it. I think I'll have some chicken breast and asparagus here pretty soon.

Fuck that, you're damn good looking but apparently shy. Why the hell else would your hot wife marry you? Oh right because you're super cool, too. DUH! :p

Hee, hee. You think I'm shy. That's funny. Nah, my wife is one of those people who don't really see people physically. She sees them for the kind of person they are. That's why she finds me attractive. Oh, and because I can cook. :D I thank God every day for being with someone as special as she. I am truely blessed. :sifone:

Hey Trops! Thought I would read through your diary. Very interesting read and amusing at times. Glad you are making it a great journey. Good job. Will read more...

Damn, Dutton! :ack2: Don't wast your time reading back on this drivel. :D

It's all fun here, so welcome to the madness. :waving:

Hey Trops!
Just wanted to stop in and say hello, and also WAY TO GO saying no to that bagel! :) Have a wonderful night!

Sara, this is New York. Best damn bagles anywhere! God, I love bagels. :banghead: They were fresh from the oven, too. Lucky for me I was distracted by the four day old baby. :D

Bagels... *shakes head violently*. Oh how I miss starchy good ole' bread. Anyyways, just thought I would stop by like Sara and say hello and of course thanks for stopping by my journal when it was needed the most.

Hey, Diamonds. glad you stopped by.

I'm not a big fan of regular bread, but I love, LOVE, fresh baked. I will bake my own, but not so much any more. I end up eating the whole loaf when I do. :banghead: I used to make my own bagels, but I just can't make them as good as the shops around here. That's when you know you got it good. :drool5:

Oh man this is killing me, lol. I use to live in Germany and we'd get fresh what they call brotchen and oh my god is that perfection. Sadly where I live now, I have to go in Safeway, pass all the prepackaged macaroni and cheesy goodness just to get to anything fresh and good for me :banghead:.

That's one thing I miss and i'm probably going to miss for a long while...baking. I absolutely love baking anything. Cupcakes, cakes, cookies, you name it. So depressing, but definitely will be worth it in the end.

I'll bake the sweets, but I really get into baking the breads. Man, I love it. Garlic herb fociccia, or a good sourdough. Fresh rye, right from the oven.

Uhm... You might want to leave now. I'm feeling a food post coming on. :drool5:

OK, I'll resist. :lurk5:

Well, tell me what your plans are for Thanksgiving and wait...before assuming anything I should actually ask if you celebrate it. That would be the respectful thing for me to do. I'm sorry, do you celebrate Thanksgiving and if you do what will you be cooking?

I'm rather excited about Thanksgiving, lol. Stuffing and yams oooohhh weee. I would put the drooling icon but it just doesnt do me justice right now.

I'll take any opportunity to celebrate. I love Thanksgiving. I'm working the midnight shift that day, so I'll come home and sleep, then I think I'm going to my mother in law's for an early dinner, followed by a trip to my mother's for a later dinner. After that I have to go back to work for another midnight shift.

What was that? :ack2: You want me to go for a run? Well, we'll see about that. :svengo:

Are there really people out there that don't do Thanksgiving? I can see someone not celebrating one of the religious holidays . . . but Turkey Day? :svengo: Say it ain't so!
