Trops Diary

Well, yesterday wasn't too bad. Not too good either. I ended up doing some running around in the morning so I got the kids each a bagel and of course got myself one, too. At the party I was pretty good. One slice of pizza, but then when I got home I was pretty hungry so I had some cereal. Then dinner at Mom's, she just puts out cheese and crackers while dinner is cooking so I ate way too much cheese. Dinner was stroganoff, but I was actually able to keep it to one small serving and I skipped all wine and fresh made apple pie. One thw whole, not good, but it could have been really bad.

Today I was good food wise, so far just eggs and coffee for breakfast. I think I'm going to jump rope later. I'm at work for a double shift, so I don't get home till 11. :( I should have some time to jump, but I'd rather do something more with weights. I might rustle up something to do and do jumping later. I don't know. Right now I'm not feeling all that motivated. Perhaps another cup of coffee will help. :smash:

you did a lot better resisting temptation that I would have. fresh baked apple pie is my crack. you put it in the room with me and I pounce. Which is why I almost never make it for myself. I'd be the size of a house if I did. :blush5:
Hope the coffee motivates you into doing some weights today. I may whine and complain about doing it, but I always feel fantastic afterwards. add in your massive ammounts of jumping and you'll be set for the day. ;)

Today I was glad to not be tempted too much. I really wanted to run or go to the gym or something but I had to work a double shift. I did jump rope, though. I was going real good and then... oops... lost count. :smilielol5: I never lose count, but I was watching the sun set and the mind just wondered. I guess it's time to get that one that counts for me. I lost count right around an hour somewhere around 9000, so I just kept going for another 6 min and figured I got the 10,000 in some where.

After that I stretched out a bit and then I tried Shandy's front plank. Yeah, yuk it up, Karl. I did it for two minutes. I think I'll try to do some later. See how long I can go when I'm rested a bit. I also tried to do some chin ups right after that and I got three. I guess there was nothing left after that.

That's a lot of jumps man! I have a really nice everlast jump rope I bought for like 3 bucks on sale. I should really put that thing to use.

The other day I ran up and down this huge flight of stairs at this park on the lake for 30min. Then was doing decline push-ups, diamond push-ups, planks, crunches.... it was a killer! On the good side I think the stair running helps with my basketball. :D

Nice, Shaun! I used to work in a building that was 12 stories and I'd go bottom to top. Now I'm not there, but it would be great to find something that I can run up and down, more then a coupe stories.

Yeah, I love it! I used to do it at the local high school during the summer. The concrete stadium was great for it.

Yeah, that would be great. I think I have to find one of those high schools that are so big into their foot ball team that they have one of those giant stadiums.

Cooking meat that much makes me sad. Poor cow. It wanted to be so tasty and now it's ruined. ;)

Not if it was a MAD COW to begin with! LMAO! Just kidding!

I go medium well usually. I don't like the taste of blood in the more rare types. lol

I'd be skinny if you were cooking my meals! You like many things I don't. lol

482... ish on Saturday Trops! My kids were jumpin' around the garage and cheering me on... It was awesome... Gotta love when your 6 3/4 year old says... "Wow daddy... you are awesome!!" Felt pretty good even though I fell short of 500 straight. I continued on for about 35 minutes total. Damn good cardio session. I told my son I knew of a guy that could do 10,000 jumps and he said "He must be a super Hero!!".... so what do you think... Super Trops.... Trops, man wonder.... I got nothin'!

Aahh kids can be so damn cute! Trops, you're a super hero... I know a real life super hero! Of course JZ is one too... doing all he does as a single parent and not making any excuses not to workout... I know TWO super heroes... Ya'll better come up with some names and market this shit! :patriot:

The thought of 10,000 jumps makes me throw up in my mouth. The thought of 500 is just as daunting. Congrats to both of you for pulling off what you do. Damn.

It's like lunges. I can't do them. I fear them. I have all kinds of respect for people insane enough to include them in their workout. hahaha

I usually do the cooking at home. I'm not sure what I'm making tonight. I have to come up with some inspiration.

I also had two glasses of wine with dinner. A very nice Cabernet Franc, but should have been a little bolder for the steak.

Too bad I wasn't visiting, I would have brought a nice Syrah (and my own veggie or fish dish if that wasn't too rude :D)

Excellent jumping! I, like theDarwinfish (btw, he is pretty fine!), respect people who jump rope because it is very strenuous and difficult. Um, not to mention boring for me, but I understand that it's incredibly convenient for ya!

Nice with the Chattaranga Dandasana. I knew you'd come around :biggrinjester: Just kidding, you were in in for 2 minutes and you didn't come to Urdhva Mukha Svanasana so technically it WAS just a plank ;)

I never consider a person bringing wine to be rude. :cheers2:

When jumping for that long and doing the counting it becomes not boring but a form of meditation. Your body is working hard, but you mind becomes totally blank. Very cool.

Uhm... I'm not sure what you are saying here. It sounds like ,"blah blah blah blah... Just kidding... blah blah blah." But I'm guessing that means something like "way to go." so I'll take it as that. :biggrinjester:

Tired! Sore!!!! :( Too much intermediate Yoga. Was doing some crazy ass arm balances yesterday, tried THIS for the first time: It's actually easier than it looks ;)
