Trops Diary

I think I'm going to skip the ribs and just go for the wings. Within limits? Possibly, but way over with fat. I will probably go to the gym later to get some kind of lift in, but not a big lift since I'd rather do that tomorrow. I'll see.

Pick some alternate exercises that work the muscle groups differently, or go with some lower weight high rep sets just to get the muscles warmed up. Then do your regular lift tomorrow.

Or hell, bask in the glow of the early morning run that you got in and move on...

Yeah, I probably wouldn't feel right doing that either...

I was thinking of doing some kind of abs workout. I usually end with abs, so starting with it might be a good way to go. Make a full workout with some smaller muscle groups that don't get used so much, perhaps.

I'm not basking so much, though. Still hobbling around like an old cripple. :ack2: Damn, I should have started this thing twenty years ago. :svengo:

It's impressive that despite "everything going wrong" you still ran. It says quite a bit about you. Impressive my dear....

I wasn't talking shit. She put out her plan for the week and I just said that if she's getting up early, I'll do the same. Motivation buddies. Of course, then I had to do it. Now it's 9:15 there and no sign of Alta. :toetap05:

Heh... I'm gonna insert a 'me too' at this. Between climbing around the engine compartment of the truck and an extended yoga session on Sunday, then my MMA class last night... I'm pretty wiped out right now. Doesn't help that my sparring partner has been a 16 year old kid who is on his high school wrestling team. Good kid, just wish I still had that type of energy.:ack2::ack2:

If you were a Yoga practitioner, you wouldn't have those issues :p'

Damn that's cold! I thought 44 degrees was cold! :ack2: It's been nice and warm lately (high supposed to be 76), but the rest of the week is looking 66-68 for the highs. I guess that ain't bad :p I'm still wearing flip flops, gotta change that soon....glad you got your run in! I had a hard time getting myself out for a run the past two days but I did it anyway :hurray:

44 is cold for us spoiled Californians. :willy_nilly: I'm going to need to get some cold weather running wear if I am going to continue the walking/running over the winter months.

I'm normally good at those temps, but that is when it's winter and I'm snowboarding. Everything is hotter on a snowboard. :sifone: I think it was more that it was so damn early and I had no coffee. Guess I better get used to running at those times if I'm ever going to do a half marathon. :banghead:

So, if yoga is such a magical thing, why is Phoenyx such a hurting bird today? I'm attributing my aches and pains more to my Saturday workout then anything else. :nopity:

Phoenyx does martial arts. That's hard on the body, man!

Try removing stubborn spark plugs out of a motor that is in a BIG truck and high off the ground. Only way to do it is to be standing IN the engine compartment... but that doesn't give you much leverage unless you are sprawled in some gymnastic contortion (so you are not standing on wires, hoses, etc.). If it weren't for the yoga, I'd probably be hurting a lot worse.

Let me tell ya, even my husband is appreciating I'm doing yoga these days. The ability to be more of a bendy pretzel chick in the bedroom makes play time a lot more fun. :reddevil:

And he's the one that dubbed what I was doing 'auto yoga'.

I'm sure the flips and throws I was doing last night just made it all hurt more.

I suppose so! I was kind of wondering if he noticed the difference, since I hadn't spent the night since August and I started my vigorous Yoga routine in September! LOL ;)
